Nice hotel.

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Pros: The staff and service that I received during my stay.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The hotel is on the Nile River, however, I only left the hotel for tours.
I went to Egypt to celebrate my birthday, and when I arrived the guest service representative noticed that it was my birthday, and I received a upgrade to a Nile River view room. I was surprised with a birthday cake and fresh fruit. On Valentine's Day, I was surprised with chocolate and red roses. I felt safe and comfortable. The staff treated just the same as they did with other Middle Eastern guest.

Lovely location

I have to be honest on the whole, whilst there were loads of them swarming about, the hotel staff were very inattentive. Most of the time I felt invisible.

Paradise in Cairo

Posted Feb 11, 2017
I travel all over the world on business, and I have to say this hotel is as good as anywhere I have stayed. The location is excellent,on the banks of the Nile,in a peaceful area,on an island, but within walking distance to central Cairo. The hotel is spotless, the rooms luxurious, with fantastic views of Cairo.Breakfast is superb, with a variety of food of the highest quality.I also ate at Le Deck, a French Fusion restaurant, that is situated on The Nile. I had the most amazing six course meal, with wonderful service, having been looked after by Mohammed for the whole experience. The hotel has an amazing infinity pool, you actually think you are swimming in The Nile! The service around the pool is superb, as it is throughout the hotel. I will definitely be returning soon, and I have promised to bring my wife next time,as i want her to experience this exceptional hotel

Nice view but poor service

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: the nile view
Cons: improve customer service and reconsider your safety and risk policy and investigate the operator work and responses to the customers
Location: close to the town
Nice welcoming at the reception, but in the room there was no service at all in terms of answering the phone either through the operator or the room service, they kept disconnect the line or put me on hold and never come back to me. they have the room number appears in their system but no service at all where I felt not safe in that hotels in terms of getting any help from the hotel's team. when I wanted to check in also the operator did not response to the phone where i had to go down to the reception to ask for help in bringing my bags down. this has caused a delay which affected my departure at the airport where i was late.after discussing this terrible service at the reception , I found out there was no problem in the telephone line, but they said the operator can not manage to answer all the calls in the hotel as he is a lone. this means somebody can be at risk an will not get the help or the service which was paid for. however the hotel has a nice view on the Nile but safety and goood customer service has the priority over all which is very poor.

Nice hotel overseeing the great Nile River

Posted Jan 27, 2017
We stayed at the Sofitel for 3 nights. It was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room has a balcony overseeing the River Nile with stunning night view. A nice walk along the river with outdoor seating facilities. There are several options for eating at restaurants along the Nile bank. The hotel is mere 10-minute walk from the Egyptian Museum located on the other side of River Nile. On the way you cross the Asr Al-Neel bridge, the favourite meeting point of the young lovers of Cairo, where are spotted easily carrying red roses!

The most luxurious hotel in central cairo

Posted Jan 24, 2017
Hotel is located in Zamalek area which considered to be the most luxurious area in central cairo, it's near from a lot of places and markets, the hotel is directly on the nile and the rooms are great, you can get a direct or partial view of the nile, both are great, hotel is clean great staff, one thing that wasn't right for me is the bed, i didn't feel very comfortable in it.

Was a good choice just for the location

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: Location and View
Cons: Room Maintenance is a thing to be improved.
Location and view of the Nile is great. All the Lobby staff was great and professional. Room needed maintenance, there was a leak in the bathroom and the exhaust fan wasn't working. I did notify the hotel and they send the facility maintenance person to fix it however it stayed good for one day and then stopped working. The worst part was the security guards that make you strip down even If you just went out of the front door, and the security guards who stopped me from getting up in the elevator and the reason was there was someone important is going in the Elevator. Only 30-40% of the personnel speaks English. All the staff in front of Hotel is asking for huge rates for Taxis, when I asked for a taxi I was told that its a 100 L.E. just to get to El Tahrir Square (5 minutes from the hotel), however using Uber was 8 L.E. Using Uber/Careem is a really good choice. Trip to the Pyramids area was lots of fun because of the history, Tour guide was knowledgeable however he had no respect for the places we visited as he was throwing trash out of his pocket in the historical areas. the car was not Air conditioned and wasn't in a good condition from inside.
