Amazing viewsPosted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: We loved the hotel and would certainly return there in the future. It's in a brilliant location overlooking the bay and beach.
Cons: Music in pool bar too obtrusive. Shelf over basin in bathroom had a sharp corner on which it was easy to bang your head while washing.
Location: We had a car and toured round the island to look at the other resorts. There is no doubt in our mind that Cala Galdana is THE place to stay.
Just returned from a lovely week at Artiem Audax. Weather was great - warm but not too hot and no rain. Resort was very quiet but this is only to be expected mid-October as everything closes down at the end of the month. We had booked a seaview room and the view from the balcony when we first walked into the room took our breath away - don't think you could get a better view anywhere in the world! Our room was functional and fairly compact- could have done with more drawer space but we managed. We were on half-board and this is served in two dining rooms, with the same food on offer in each room. Good selection of food on offer at dinner with steaks, chicken and fish all freshly cooked for you while you wait. Breakfast selection was also good apart from a lack of any decent sausages. Nice infinity pool on the 6th floor with a bar and we never had any problem finding a sunbed and sunshade. We found the piano music played here rather too loud but you could get away from this by going down to the lower pool level away from the bar.

Location: Location is a bit of a sleepy town however perfect for what we wanted. Restaurants nearby to note are Es Barranc Cala Mitjana - amazing food and staff
We were hesitant about the hotel after reading some of the rooms but we were pleasantly surprised! The staff were beyond lovely and super friendly, we didn't experience any negativity at all. The hotel itself is in such an ideal location, the beach is literally on your doorstep and there are some lovely restaurants just a 5 minute walk away - we do recommend you try them for a change of scene from the hotel. The pool area is really lovely too, with a larger pool for swimming and two shallower pools for relaxing. Two things we do agree with: the pool is quite cold but a nice relief from the hot weather if you've been out in the sun and yes, there is an issue with people reserving sun beds despite there being signs telling people not to. We stayed in late September, so not even peak season, and it was an issue as beds we're gone by near midday (so can only imagine in peak season!). For the hotel's restaurants, the set-up is quite confusing with grill chefs making food fresh arranged AFTER the self-serve areas which meant any food you'd already put on your plate was cold by the time you had something made. Go to the grill chef first! However we would say the food was delicious. Didn't try the spa. The only gripe we would have would be a personal one; we had mentioned to the hotel that it was our anniversary (as in the past we have been given a complementary gift from the hotel we've been staying at) however there was no acknowledgement. As mentioned, a totally personal issue!

Amazing sea view. Superb buffet dining. We went early season so pretty much had the hotel (and town!) to ourselves. Beautiful walks to other beaches in the area,

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and will definitely return. Best hotel I have ever stayed at.
Nice hotel but full of seniorsPosted Sep 2, 2017 on Hotels
Very good hotel but full of "seniors ", brits paradise . Good location and good prices. From the airport to the hotel we took a taxi that cost us 50€. Resto from the hotel is a good option for dinner - a buffet with a lot of options.

Lovely 10 day break. Nice resort. Although went in high season we were very well catered for. Hotel restaurants in particular were superb such a wide choice of food. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and enjoy our holiday which we did.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing break at Artiem Audax - the food was exceptional, pool area was clean with a great view over the bay and the rooms were bright, with tea and coffee facilities and a rainfall shower. Can't fault anything about the trip; the staff were really helpful allowing us to swap our first night dinner to a lunch and providing a room to change and shower in before we left. Stay here!
