We never tire of hearing how perfect our location is, and we are so happy that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay. Being situated in old town Calabasas with many restaurants, shops and theatres within walking distance makes us the best choice for a stay while visiting this beautiful city. The Anza is the perfect spot to relax and also enjoy the convenience of dining and shopping right at our doorstep. Offering guests good value for their money is what we strive for and we appreciate your positive comments about the same. Thank you for your recommendation and we hope to see you again soon. Nice rooms housekeeping needs to do better.

Posted Aug 23, 2015
I had a great stay the hotel is nice in a good location. Convenient to the places I needed to go. This is a small town where celebrity live. Only thing I didn't like is I stayed 5 nights and housekeeping only cleaned my room 1 night. Before I left my room I asked the housekeeper to clean my room and when I came to my room still not clean. I had to call the front desk svery night ask for sheets to change my bed. Also please bring your own bath towels and wash cloth I found hair on the towels. Upon check I made the supervisor aware of problem he said it will call me after he talks to his manager he would see can he give me a discount. He did call back but they were only willing to give me 50% off the last night of my stay I personally think they should give me 50% because I had to do a job I didn't get paid. Overall the hotel is nice

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We are glad that you had a comfortable stay and that our location well suited your needs. However, we are sincerely sorry for your inconvenience and for the service issues in your room. The least we could do was to offer you a 50% discount on your last night. We know it does not make up for any shortcomings, but we do hope that you will give us another chance. We assure you that this is not the typical level of service at our hotel. We’re reviewing our procedures to determine what we can do to make sure these issues do not repeat. We truly hope you will give us another chance to prove we are committed to providing an outstanding guest service. Best, Lauren DeBoalt General Manager, The Anza Hotel

Nice place.

Posted Aug 21, 2015
Pros: Nice size rooms and nice ammenities
Cons: Larger parking spaces for large vehicles.
Overall great place and the new remodel was well done. The parking is the only issue with this hotel. All the spots are compact size and with some of us driving larger vehicles than a compact car (trucks and suvs)....the spots are no very large. I actually saw someone hit another car because of the parking issue.

Thank you for staying at the Anza and taking the time to post a feedback. We were pleased to read that you truly enjoyed your time with us. However, we are sorry for the issues you had regarding the parking. Please note while we do charge $10/day for parking on our lot, we offer complimentary valet & parking for those guests who don't mind parking across the street at our overflow lot. We do regret for any inconvenience caused. We will be happy to assist you with that on your future visits if you will let the front desk know upon arrival. Thank you once again for choosing us for your stay and we hope to see you again soon. Best, Lauren DeBoalt General Manager, The Anza Hotel

Lovely area

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Large room, adequate modern bathroom. Lovely area.
Cons: Could be cleaner, pool could be warm, need to get rid of awful smell in the reception area.
Location: The Commons - lovely shops and restaurants. Good hiking, close to Malibu Creek recreation area
Room backed onto the freeway so noisy. Bedding needs updating as all bobbled, and room not especially clean. Horrible smell in the public area/reception - was told it was grease from the food area!!! Did not smell like grease but like drains. Pool freezing.

Nice hotel close to many restaurants

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Cons: I would recommend The Anza to a friend but I would mention that parking is a little tight.
The hotel staff is the sweetest and very capable. We had our room key and were on our way within minutes of entering the lobby for check-in. When I called the desk for more towels, they were delivered immediately. Thank you Anza Hotel!

Close to everything such as: shopping, restaurants movies, the park, Great area for spotting Celebrities & Celeb Personalities. Not far from Malibu Beaches. However It's a little far from L.A. area and downtown area.

Nice pictures on Expedia, extremely ugly hotel.

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: The hotel needs to be cleaned, specially the carpets. It needs to have noise proof windows. It needs people with brains when they assign rooms.
Location: I have absolutely no idea.
I arrived late at night with 2 kids one of them a baby. I booked my room 2 weeks before my arrival and they assigned me a handicapped room at the highest floor, all the way to the end of the hotel. Carpets are dirty and worn out. Room is hideous and noisy by the freeway. I requested a crib upon check-in, after half an hour that they didn't bring me anything, I decided to go downstairs since my baby was tired,I have to put him to sleep on the only bed available. the front desk kept me waiting, there was no housekeeping staff and the security guard was trying to find a crib in the building but she didn't know where to look. The security guard came to the front desk several times because she just didn't know what to do. I was tired (almost 12:00 at night) and desperate so I went to help her. We went closet by closet searching for a crib. Finally at the last closet we found a portable crib. We first had to take housekeeping carts out of the closet and a whole bunch of stuff in order to get it out. I wouldn't mind this if it was my house but as a guest? When we tried to put the thing together it didn't work, the guard even cut herself. They didn't have bedding for the crib either. I told her to forget about it I was just going to sleep at the couch. The couch mattress was two inches thick, dirty, worn out. No sleep at all. After a non-night sleep I went for breakfast. No high chairs! wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody. It seems like the give the worst rooms to Expedia users
