Under Construction

Cons: Almost everything
Location: Kids and grand kids.
I booked this room because of the name La Quinta, I no longer will value the La Quinta name. This property was obviously old and in need of repair but to leave it open during the process is a mistake. My wife has COPD and the facility was dusty as if the construction crew took no care to isolate the mess and waste. The first stop on our vacation was a DISASTER. The AC didn't work, I had to go out and by a fan so we could sleep. The hotel replaced it the next day but the new one still didn't cool the room. Had I known construction was going on I could have stayed at the Best Western across the street. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Awful!

This hotel is experiencing a remodel. When you walk in you get overwhelmed by the smell. The lobby floors are grimy and paint dotted due to this. All baseboards are off in the hallways. This is just the beginning. I was put in a room that was not yet finished. The beds were not made and the toilet had feces and hair in it. I went to find the staff to help me. She was less than concerned. Finally, I got a new room. It was finished, sort of. The painting wasn't 100%. They are trying to say they got new beds but only bedding and a mattress topper. The tile floor was sticky. Room dusty all over. A coffee maker is provided in room but no coffee. The top was broken off of ours anyway. We had put our DND up for a few days. When we took it off to get our room cleaned they didn't do it. I had to stay five nights because the only other hotel in town was full. In other cities LaQuinta has been great. Accommodations and staff here are less than desirable. If you can, drive to Nampa and stay at one of the new hotels. Same price better accommodations. I did try to work through the manager he either wasn't there or some other excuse as to why he didn't call.

Not your typical La Quinta

Hotel seems to be under construction. Lots of drywall dust in halls Room smelled like it had been a smoking room at some point. Shower curtain was about to fall off the wall. Terrible shower head, barely sprayed any water out. No complimentary shampoo in bathroom. Better off driving to Boise for a hotel next time.

Renovations

This hotel was under going a face lift, wifi did not work most of the time. I feel as a third party you so overcharged.

The ancient air conditioner kept us awake

Not a good experience. We booked from Expedia and were not advised we would be in the basement. Cold, old and loud.....

Even though there was remodeling going on, the room was very nice and clean. some of the remodeling was poorly done. I would question the contractors about that. there was painter's tape up above the closet area of our room (519). Look closer before the cleaning person gives the go ahead to rent. they stocked the towels shampoo and soaps for our second night. very much appreciated. nice environment and people.

Basement ........

Our room was in the basement --- the 1970's air conditioner clattered and banged all night. The low ceilings and maroon painted walls made you feel you were in a doll house. The mattress on the bed was the ONLY redeeming quality. If I knew we were going to stay in a basement room I would of chosen another facility.

Nice place to stay just for a weekend getaway to see our family. Would absolutely stay there again.
