There are several better options.
The staff were friendly. The property is very old and badly needs restoration. Furthermore, its information is misleading as it does not offer a complimentary breakfast.

A $54 a night (yes that's all taxes and fees included) stay. Clean and warm. The second story room had a balcony door that would not lock closed, and as a single male I had no real problem with that (others may have differing opinions). Water was slow to heat up, but eventually my 8am shower became hot. Ice machine broken, and I thought there was a free continental breakfast available, but was told no such thing Not a complaint, given the price of room, but perhaps the Expedia site should be updated? The property is located on busy Macleod trail south, it is elevated from street level, so pedestrian traffic was pretty much non-existent, but street noise at night was noticable but not enough to interupt sleep. Staff were great, I was able to retrieve some left behind clothing, a week later (after notifying staff the day after I left). I would stay again for a solitary trip of one night (for $54 or less).

Misleading and deceptive advertising. No continental breakfast. Room needed new blinds/new heating system. Overall very depressing. Not sure why Expedia would endorse this property. Would never stay there again.

It was cheap and it served its purpose. It's a little rustic, but the mattress was fine, rooms were clean and there's a Cora and Starbucks across the street. If I had one complaint, it would be the lack of a fitted sheet on the bed. They used a flat sheet that was way too small for the bed, but I've worked in the hotel industry, so I get it. I'd stay there again, it was pretty quiet. As a single person, not being awakened at 7am on a Sunday from someones screaming kid, is a plus.

Although not a big or new property. The room smelled clean and bed linens clean and fresh. Bed mattress is older but still relatively comfortable. For the cost of the room, the value was really good. Would stay in again without hesitation.

As we entered our room we saw a cockroach run from the bathroom into the bedroom. Not A great start. The hotel was very average… the biggest issue we had was the door didn’t lock. If we were in the room we could use a inside lock to secure the door, but when we were out, you could simply just push the door to open it. We reported it to staff and they arrived and closed the door and it seemed to lock. When we returned to the room, it was insecure again and we could open the door without using a key. We had to lug 3 suitcases up and down the stairs to keep our stuff safe with us because we couldn’t trust it wouldn’t be stolen in the room. Especially as it didn’t seem to be the nicest part of town. We reported it a second time and wanted someone to come and fix it quickly. Or just give me the tools to fix it… but they didn’t come quickly. They did However come during the day (but we had already lugged the suitcases back downstairs a second time that day). If security isn’t something that concerns you, then it’s a cheap stay. Otherwise, you might want to look for another place.

Dont waste your money
The worst experience anybody could have. Is advertised as having breakfast (does not, we paid more and chose it due to this option), the they canceled our reservation 30 minutes before we arrived and forced us to pay an extra 60 dollars, a 100 dollar cancellation fee and a FOUR HUNDRED dollar deposit for a room that looks like it hasnt been updated since 1971. The contents of the room dont even total 400 dollars. We had our 2 kids in the car with us sitting in the parking lot while they mercilessly raped us. This hotel is a joke, dont ever stay here. Your better off using some leaves and a branch to cover up with for the night.

The service is so poor, rooms are dirty, bed sheets are dirty, and shower towel are too small. On the website it say there’s continental breakfast but when we ask the receptionist she is so rude and doesn’t respond in a professional manner.

The worst place I've EVER stayed
Breakfast was supposed to be included however upon arrival i asked for the bagged breakfast as we where leaving super early in the morning, the lady at reception informed me there was no vreakfast and that that was an error on hotels.com site, i asked how that we being addressed to the customer she shrugged and said theres just no breakfast (even though my booking stated it included it) however seeing the cleaniless of my room im kind of glad we didnt get breakfast as i would worry how sanitary that would be. The room was filthy!!!not just unclean i mean actually dirty, there was a hygeine sticker from a swimsuit stuck on the bathroom wall, there was pubic hair all over the toilet and what looked like a potential old band aid on the heater curled up in dirt. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed which revealed the mattresses which had yellow/brown stains all over the bottom section (i didnt peel back anymore as i didnt want to know what the rest looked like) everytime i turned over the bed creaked so loud which woke my daughter and the air conditioner unit was on its last legs and also crazy loud. The worst night sleep and stay I have EVER had!will never return

Worst hotel in toen
Extremely disappointed. They charged me more than the quote , and that was the start. The room was in horrible shape, the entrance way was and unlocked hallway and smelt of urine. The beds did t fit in the room, there wasn’t enough room to walk around the beds. The door to the washroom was broken and didn’t close all the way and the bathroom sink was disgusting. Worst hotel experience in my life.

Upon check in I was only given 1 key for 2 of us. When I went back for a second key I was chastised for not having the other guest show his ID. He had been standing beside me as we checked in. The room was simple and basic. Good enough. There was a used bar of soap in the shower when I checked in. Not the end of the world. On day 2/5 I asked housekeeping for fresh sheets and towels rather than having my room cleaned by them. They made me hang my dirty laundry out on the railing outside to count it. I asked for a few extra towels as I didn’t have my room made up every day. They refused. Day 4/5 I called the front desk at 4:10pm and asked if I could exchange my towel and bedding. I would be making my bed myself. I had been out all day. I was told housekeeping had left for the day and I’d have to wait until the next day for clean towels. Front desk would not even exchange my towels. I would NOT stay if you have KIDS that may spill on the towels or sheet. They will make you PAY for the dirty towels and will not give you fresh ones. You’ll be sleeping in dirty sheets. I was treated more like an inconvenience and a liability then a guest. I felt unwelcome and was relived to check out. Cheap, but not good value. Never again.

Loud partiers and crackheads hanging around the place. Staff was very friendly and helpful but I feel bad they have to put up with that. Room was reasonably clean but wifi didn’t connect because of weak signal. $47 a night you get what you pay for.

My full damage deposit wasn't returned. They only thing I can think of was a small amount of blood on the bedsheet. Most hotels would bleach it and be done with that but $16 was with held from my deposit. It's not the end of the world and I wouldn't enjoy dealing with a blood stain personally but honestly that charge would have put me into a nicer room at a chain hotel that would have considered that normal. Something to consider when choosing a cheap room that's independent I guess.
