Good deal for the money

Pros: We could drive right up to the room.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was small. You could hear the people above us walking around.

Hotel fell short this time.

Pros: Besides this man, the hotel staff has ALWAYS been second to none, treating you like family. The rooms are amazing.
Cons: My room was uncharacteristically dirty this time with hair in the shower and blood stains on both beds that were impossible to miss.
Location: Great location, everything you need is there, its about the mid point of the city so whatever way your going is convenient.
I have stayed here quite a few times before and NOTHING but an amazing experience, but this time not so much. My Father ended up needing unexpected heart surgery at the nearby hospital, so I booked a room on expedia as soon as possible as it was Calgary stampede. I went to check into my room and was asked for my credit card for the damage deposit. I just have a visa debit, but I have NEVER had a problem with any hotel I have stayed at. I just put a cash deposit down. I never saw this front desk man before and to say the least he was extremely unprofessional. As I was explaining my situation to him he was smirking and shaking his head, repeatedly telling me I cant stay here. I told him I already pre-paid $190 on the room and that the website said it was non-refundable. Still smirking he told me it was not his problem, I asked him to talk to the owner about my situation, he PRETENDED to text them and 3 seconds later acted as though he already had a reply saying no I can't stay there. So I asked that he call the owner and explain, he finally agreed and went into the other room, I heard every word he said, all he said was this guy has no credit card and wants to stay here, he came back and said sorry you can't stay here. I asked him if he explained my situation and AGAIN he lied to me saying yes I did and the answer is still no. I called him on his lie and he finally told the owner what was going on. Thankfully the owner agreed to a cash deposit, but this man still had attitude.

Hello Christian, Thank you for choosing to stay at our motel. We are upset to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. Our motel has a very strict credit card policy that is listed online and therefore we do not accept cash deposits and our front desk agents are trained to only take credit cards. This has been recommended to us by the Calgary Police Services, Hospitality Division. However, the front desk agent that was on duty did text initially as our manager was off duty at the time so he was seeing if they were able to accept a call to get approval for an exception. He did call to request a cash deposit, and due to your unforunate circumstance we agreed. We take housekeeping and cleanliness issues very seriously and I have spoken with housekeeping regarding your concerns. Unfortunately we were not notified of this until now so we are unable to verify the stains on your sheets. Housekeeping completes a detailed report of all rooms before check-in and there was no issue found with the sheets in your room. We sincerely apologize for the lack of professionalism you experienced when dealing with the Front Desk Agent you encountered, and we ensure that we are taking the correct steps to train them on how to handle such matters professionally. We truly value the loyalty you and your father have shown us and we do hope you will give us another chance in the future. We hope that your father is recovering well and that he is better in no time. If you do happen to make a reservation with us in the future, please send us an email or call and ask to speak with a manager so that we can better accomodate you this time.

Near 7eleven and gas station..multiple fastfood restaurant near by..all within walking distant..

Nice hotel.

I've stayed here before and the staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and they give you extras like bathrobes and free calls to Canada/US. Breakfast is good (toast, fruit, cereal etc). It's pet friendly if that's what your looking for. Dont judge it from the outside because the inside is much nicer. My only comment this time is that the pillows and bedding were really good but the bed I had was sagging in the middle and I could feel springs in some areas. Might be time for a few new beds. Everything else was good though.

Good location. Great price. Outside a little rough

Inside good condition. Near good restaurants. Clean room and comfortable bed . Stay here and drive to locations outside of Calgary.

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our breakfast selection, unfortunately our food permit does not allow us to prepare most breakfast items so we are limited on what we can serve. Our location is ideal for travellers wanting to have a quick and easy access to the trans canada highway. Have a good day!

Convenient motel

The outside of the motel is deceiving - doesn't appear to be updated. But the rooms are very nice and clean and have been remodelled and upgrade. The amenities are good - free breakfast, free long distance calls in North America, free wi-if. My husband thought there should be local news channels on the TV though!

Generally nice place, perticularly the breakfast is fairly good. Washroom is so small! The deposit will take about 7 days to be reversed! The manager said it is the holtel policy.
