Should Reno or close

Posted May 25, 2017
AIr conditioner was from the 1980s Black mold in bathroom Toothpaste and waste from previous room occupant in bathroom Gym facilities included a broken stair master, a universal gym, also probably from the 1980's and one rowing machine Elevators should be inspected - there is no way they would pass Poor planning - two busses arriving at same time on two occasions of tour groups. Waited 30 minutes to go to room in the sketchy elevator Very unsafe area of downtown (doors to hotel lock at night and you can't enter)

noisy room

My room was squeezed between elevators which were much quieter than noisy ice machine. Guests getting ice all night to 2 am

Good hotel in downtown Calgary

Posted May 1, 2017
Room was comfortable and large. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small. Hot water to bathroom sink took long time to work. Had to run it for about 10 minutes.

The room was clean, had a decent view and the location was near the heart of downtown - a little outside but within walking distance. The hotel is also right next to the train and a train stop which is good and bad.

Strange smell in room at first. Wifi does not work at all. Very loud, lots of drunk people around. Issues with keys not working. Slow elevators. Room was basic, good size. Fairly clean. Fridge did not work. Good location, lots of amenities within walking distance. A bit pricey for the quality. Did not get a chance to check out the restaurant or pool this time.

great staff but aging hotel

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: Staff was friendly and accommodating
Cons: Room cleanliness, new ironing board, condition of carpet and wall paper.
Location: Downtown. LRT train on one side, residential apartments on 2 sides. Tim hortons, subway, Mac's across the street.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Cheap parking on property, no valet. Right beside LRT station - good but noisy, we could barely hear it on 16th floor. Maybe doesn't apply of the entire hotel but our room was in terrible condition - carpet was bunched up and folded over in the main walk way, wall paper was coming off the walls, very dusty and you could see the dust piling up where the curtains would bunch together in the corners when opened. Looking out and down the winders from upper floors you see into the neighboring apartment balconies and the mess. Iron didn't work, had to call for a new one. Ironing board has stains all over it and no padding.

The hotel is not in a good area of town. The price was good but you could not go for a walk as you would not feel safe. The restaurant, the staff and the rooms were good. However, they had huge issues with the elevator. It took me 15 minutes to get an elevator to the 22nd floor one morning as the elevator is not responding. There are better hotels in the downtown area in a safer neighbourhood

Tiny room

Posted Apr 24, 2017
The room was so small. Iv been in portable toilets bigger than the bathroom. No closet space. The wall next to the heater was broken. There was either a stain of chocolate or blood on the duvet cover. Not worth the $300 for 2 nights! Not going back.
