Comfortable place to stay .

Location: Close to all Calhan businesses and the Paint Mine Park.
Very convenient , staff was pleasant and very helpful . Right across from the Auction House and close to all Calhan businesses. Definitely would stay here again.

Pros: nice enough owners, location
Cons: read above
Location: close to larger Colorado cities, nothing in town
Sheets are so old we could see through them plus my wife's top sheet was dirty. They charged us $10 extra for the 2nd person. 2 queen beds but they charge extra for 2nd person and we only had 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner. They can't give extra toiletries for the 2nd person after paying extra ? Mattress was acceptable. I initially walked into the room and pulled the curtains open and the entire fixture fell to the floor. While showering , the tub filled with water, poor drainage. 3.8 out of 5 say this place is good? they gouged us , since Colorado Springs and Denver had a lot going on over the weekend , charged us 50% more for this crummy room

The beds and pillows were hard. The towels and comforter were stained. Definitely not worth the $100 I paid for it.

could not have been worse

I checked in getting no info from the front desk person, spent the night on a very uncomfortable bed, took a shower using the towels provided and left to spend the day with friends. when I returned to the motel the room had not been cleaned the bed was not made, towels not replaced and the trash had not been emptied. I got a call to return home because of an emergency and checked out the next morning and got no refund on the reservation. the front desk person said I would have to take that up with who ever I booked with.

Was actually in town for business so the hotel was just a place to sleep and get some work done. Worked out great for me.

Decent hotel in a pinch

I have stayed in much nicer motels for much less, but this one worked well enough in a pinch. Rooms were very dated. This didn't bother me, but the staff at the front desk at checkout didn't speak English, so checking out was a little more complicated than it would have been otherwise. We got there though. Be aware that this town doesn't have a restaraunt open past 8 (and only one restaurant in the town), and the closest thing is Colorado Springs. So don't come hoping to find dinner in Calhan. You'll go to bed hungry!

Peaceful

At first I lied about my stay because Expedia did not tell me how far it was from downtown Colorado Springs which was 45 minutes away and I lied about the cleanliness of my my room. But I'm writing now the truth and it was clean the staff was excellent and it was peaceful to sleep in. Overall I give it A5 star.
