Reasonable rates with pretty clean rooms.Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Location and pricing
Cons: Cleanliness of bathroom. Pillows and mattress could be replaced.
Location: Nice walk into town. Normandy museums and memorials are within half an hour.
Very simple rooms. Fairly clean and for a reasonable rate. Pretty good restaurant on-site. Very convenient location to the Normandy area and the nice town of Bayeux. You can easily walk into town from the hotel. Plenty of parking. Wi-fi sketchy and slow. But there is no extra charge for it.

Nice hotel close to the naturePosted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: We liked the rustic style of the hotel and from our window we could see the green fields. It was quite a relaxing view.
Cons: More towels and toiletries would be great if they are supplied.
Location: Good location. The centre of Bayeux city is very close and you can visit the Bayeux Tapestry or stroll the busy narrow roads with interesting stores.
Nice, clean room, big king size bed. They don't supply hand towels or face cloths for ecological reasons they said when we asked for them . The location was good . You can see part of the Bayeux Cathedral from the back of the hotel that our room was. The food at the restaurant of the hotel was okay, nothing special and the buffet was lacking variety, that's why we declined it. Reasonable prices though.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding niet OK!!Posted Jun 19, 2015
Cons: Mag duidelijk zijn gezien reactie hierboven!,
Location: Locatie tov snelweg is ok.

Perfect for overnight stayPosted May 17, 2015
Pros: Fine for a short stay.
Cons: Hopefully will be part of Campanile refurbishment programme.
Location: As Bayeux is relatively compact, hotel is very adjacent to both ring road and centre.
Despite large coach party, staff coped extremely well both at dinner and breakfast. Typical traditional Campanile in terms of style and room facilities.

Campanile BayeuxPosted May 6, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at this hotel 2 nights on a driving trip in France. The hotel is showing its age and is badly needing maintenance and upgrading. The external stair access is difficult if you are carrying large suitcases - as we were. We arrived after 4:00PM and were told not only that we could not have the ground floor room we had requested, but also that the room was not yet ready. We ate in the Hotel dining room that evening, which was a bad mistake. The service was terrible and the food matched. Needless to say we did not eat there the following night. Parking was O. K. WIFI was poor.

Spartan rooms, but a good valuePosted May 4, 2015
Pros: The low price and great location.
Cons: Sound-proofing the walls between rooms.
Location: Bayeux Cathedral, shops & restaurants, British military cemetery -- A very quaint place.
This hotel is in a great location in Bayeux -- The spectacular Bayeux Cathedral & the Bayeux Tapestry are both very close to the hotel. Bayeux is a very quaint town with centuries-old buildings. A lot of shops and restaurants are in the downtown area, which, like the Cathedral, is about a 10 minute walk. The British military cemetery from WWII is also very close to the hotel, and is definitely worth visiting. The rooms are spare, but clean. The only real downside was that the walls of the rooms are very thin. Fortunately, the residents in the surrounding rooms while I was there were fairly quiet, but I could see noise from adjoining rooms being an issue for some. Overall, it was a great value, as the room was very inexpensive and quite serviceable as a launching point for a few days touring Normandy.
