Great Place to relax ... great facilities comfortable rooms wonderful food great breakfast wonderful views without being pretentious The only issue was the fact that there is no changing rooms in the spa and also one toilette within it.

The hotel is in a very pretty area, surrounded by a large golf course. The pool is in front of the hotel and catches the sun all day. Our suite was excellent and the breakfast was very generous. Our main problem was when seated for dinner in the restaurant, we received no service for over 20 minutes. No member of staff offered us drinks or welcomed us. This also happened on our first evening when we wanted to eat in the bar. Again we were not offered a menu or something to drink for at least 20 minutes. Otherwise the reception staff were very helpful, and in general the hotel is very well run.

Too expensive for nothing
Location is OK, pool is small and not appealing, rooms are TINY and the “view to the sea” is a tiny window where you can see the sea from. Old fashion furnitures. The only renovated area is the bathroom which is great. For that price I wouldn’t chose it again.

Magnificent property
Hotel Barrière was magnificent. The grounds, the ocean views, the appointment of the hotel room, the level of service from the concierge - all was beyond our expectations. The included “club d’enfants” is another added bonus for families - it allowed me and my husband some much-needed alone time.

Very unefficient check-in. Bad decoration for the entrance hall. Staff ’s kind but some not really professional. Very nice location, beautiful views, very quiet, very comfortable rooms. Good deal to take deluxe with see view.

Wonderful stay, room and service!
The hotel, spa and service were all lovely, we didn’t have a chance to dine but the dining room looked amazing as well, we even played Petonc indoors and had a stroll to the Golf course... the only thing I missed (and of had time could have possibly asked for) was lotion and conditioner for toiletries. We even got an extra hour late check out which was nice for me on my birthday!

Excellent stay
Excellent stay, thoroughly recommend the hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Only downside is that the walk to Deauville will take much longer than 25 minutes as it took 15 minutes to drive to Deauville.

Great hotel, fantastic town.
A really great hotel. The scale and decoration in the lobby was great. Our room (we had an executive sea view room), was really great and accommodated our new baby and young daughter very comfortably. The bed was really comfortable and the bath, shower and bathroom facilities rate. The views from the sea view were fantastic. The restaurants and beach at Deauville are amazing and its truly one of the great European sea towns.

Nice resort hotel right above the public beaches and close to the tourist beaches of Normandy. First class offerings including a gold course and pool. It was a hot week in July and the lack of air conditioning made our rooms a bit warm to be in day and night. Ask for north facing rooms in the summer

Mixed bag.
Lovely hotel but chaotic at breakfast time as not enough staff, and on the Sunday there was a shortage of food due to deliveries we were told. Dinner on Saturday night was excellent until pudding took over an hour to come. Rooms are very nice although not air conditioned. Pool area needs some attention as it is tatty. There is a shuttle which takes and picks up whenever you wish, so this is a plus. Overall a lovely hotel which just needs a few adjustments.

The pictures on the website dont do it justice . Absolutely beautiful . Slight breakdown in communication on some food orders but that is mostly our fault as we were in France .

Easter break
I have been staying Barrier hotel for many years esp Easter time, but level of service from Golf hotel is not as good as Royal. Unfortunately Royal is closed. Every day I have to ring up housekeeping to get items as something missing every day. Also the master of English is not as good in this hotel , however the golf course is nice

They don't get much better!
I have stayed in this hotel a few times before, whilst golfing with male friends. I promised my wife i would take her there someday to experience its quality.

Classic hotel with character!
I really enjoyed this hotel but found it a bit difficult to get in and out of to town (make no mistake it is a little out of town). The staff were a pleasure, the parking ample, room service was slow but the food was good. One thing I could say about the hotel that kind of ruined my stay was the fact that it was so terrible cold at night and there is no way to turn on the heat. A call to the front desk revealed that heat is controlled by the hotel itself and cannot be turned on! Ok fine, I slept huddled under blanket only sticking my head out to breathe occasionally!
