Location excellent for the town and the racecourse, which I wanted. Reception very helpful and good English. WiFi a waste of time, should probably reboot the router.
Hotel a strange mix, fabric is older but the facilites, such as bathroom and toilet are updated, my room had a self catering facility, odd but useful. Lifts good, room serviced nicely, a little balcony was welcome with the self catering.
On my second night a party of girls were having a party until 1.00am, night porter didn't get a grip, no sleep. Hotel seemed to cater for parties of student types, I noticed two parties checking in, perhaps noise is a penalty. No bar and no restaurant, but Deauville is full of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. No air conditioning would be a problem in summer, I asked for a fan, they didn't have any, the noise from outside is OK except for the gulls which don't sleep in. I'd give it another chance.Price a little high for the comfort. Breakfast available, extra charge for continental.
