What? No free coffee?

Pros: Staff was understanding and pleasant. Hotel was conveniently located to town and beach.
This is the only hotel we stayed in during our month long European vacation where free coffee was not offered. We also had to have our sheets changed on arrival because they were covered in hair.

Pros: L'hotel est très proche de la ville à pied , la décoration de la salle de déjeuner et du lounge très bien ce qui laisse augurer un hôtel très agreable
Cons: En attendant les travaux ,des petits accessoires dans la salle de bain comme une boite de mouchoir et un savon seraient les bien venus
Location: Restés qu'une nuit , nous n'avons pas visité les environs
l'hotel est en cours de modernisation , des choses ne sont pas encore changées comme la salle de bain vieillotte , mais tout à fait propre ; petit déjeuner varié et bon

Takes care of the guests

A nice hotel with a welcoming atmosphere! The owner really cares about his guests, and we really enjoyed our stay there. The continental breakfaat was far beyond our expectations, and the bed was superb! We will definitly stay here again next time in Normandy!

Shabby Chic the French way

Pros: The main building and lounge was very comfortable, the breakfast was ample, the grounds substantial
Cons: The villa building needs a total overhaul and an extra staff member to look after breakfasts
Location: Its on the outskirts of town which is only a few minutes from the sea, the d day beaches are in both directions east and west so its very central
The main building is in very good order but the villa where we stayed wasn't in very good condition, the door to the room which opened directly to the outside didn't fit, the toilet leaked, there was an overall dampness and condensation, the mould in the bathroom mentioned in other reviews was very evident which wasn't finished very well. The breakfast was quite good although you got the feeling the hotel was being run on a shoe string as the only member of staff ran reception and the breakfast room. It was unfortunate the cold milk was on the turn on day one, by the second day it was almost yoghurt. When you check in you get a letter saying what the owners want to do with the place, I suggest they get on with it as it could be very good in deed.

Pros: A nice quite place!
Cons: Bathroom could do with modernising.
Location: D Day beaches 4 minute walk
A beautiful setting and an easy walk to the town so no need to take the car. Easy access and parking, the villa has been renovated to a high standard without spoiling the atmosphere.

Good Location

Pros: The location, nice breakfast room
Cons: Improve the amenities (like facial tissue), have the staff more available. Just because it's old doesn't mean it can't be upgraded.
Location: D-day beaches and museums
Pros: walking distance to town, lovely grounds, nice breakfast, free Wi-Fi Cons: tiny room, no amenities, staff not always there, no ice machine We spent most of our time touring the area and not much in the room because it was so cramped. It has a good location for seeing the D-Day beaches and Bayeux.

Great hotel for the budget minded.

A very comfortable two-star hotel, which had likely seen better days, but whose new owners -- this is there second season -- are working very hard to upgrade everything from the reception and dining rooms (completed I think) to the rooms, which are a work in progress. The rooms are small, but no smaller than the 4-star hotel we stay at in Paris. Great location who are exploring the D-Day beaches.

Very Happy

Stayed two nights room 9 lovely view. Very quaint and cosy hotel and nicely decorated. Hotel room a little small but very clean, no problems with wifi or hot water. Breakfast basic, but adequate. Close proximity to the village. staff very helpful and friendly. Had our laundry done for small price of €10. Would stay again if ever in the area again.
