“Everything about life in France is here in this lovely house. Old yet practical, thick walls and shutters kept it cool in the hot sun. Sun and shade in the private garden. Views over fields and hills. Wake to the sun streaming in and the songs of nightingale and oriole. (Or can close the shutters for those who don't like early mornings)..We loved the walk down a pretty lane (half an hour) into Sauve for coffee in one of the shady squares, and bakers for bread and croissants.
