This thoughtfully furnished, cozy 1 bedroom house is an ideal love nest or quiet retreat for writers, artists, nature lovers, cyclists, a single person or those who love to be surrounded by quiet beauty. Located eleven miles from town in the Neck District, 1 mile from a firehouse and country store. This brand new old house has been completely renovated but retains its historic house charm. Sleeps 1 couple comfortably and also has a pull out love seat. No Pets, No smoking,

    Lovely quiet house for a peaceful getaway
    I stayed here with my husband in August 2023. We had a great time! Sitting outside you can see hummingbirds, eagles, cardinals, and more. But be sure to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are relentless. The house is fully stocked with everything you need, such as toilet paper, napkins, kitchenware, towels, etc. We had breakfast at Cindy’s cafe a couple times, a local favorite, and it was delicious. If you want a casual lunch/dinner go to Carmela’s for excellent pizza and Italian food. There are of course several seafood places in town too. I highly recommend the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge for kayaking/hiking. Anyway the bed at this house is very comfortable (which can make or break a stay!). There are some ants in the kitchen but they are tiny and harmless. The neighborhood is very quiet. You can’t see any water from the property, so I’m not sure why it’s listed as a “water view” but you can drive about 15 mins for boating etc. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this place!
