The hotel was awful. Floors were nasty. Bathroom was nasty. Toliet leaked. No shower head. Holes in comforter. The guy didn't have a computer. Did not even know we were coming. Made me show him proof that we had paid online because he had no way to see it.

Apparently the owner has passed away. Over half the rooms are not in use. They pretty much have 4 or 5 descent rooms they can give you. If u just needed a bed for the night on tight budget it will do

We were there for 5 mintes before there were a bunch of cops at the motel. The hotel manager made me very uncomfortable and seemed to be under the influence if something. Noticeable fresh stains on bedding and a horrible smell -to the point that we literally would have been more comfortable sleeping on the ground outdoors.

A little rough
Only paid $51 so I wasn’t expecting very much. But it was still less than I expected, The room had a bad smell and was just in rough shape. I spept in my sleeping bag. The bed was so worn out it was like sleeping in a hole. There were no shades on the window and the lights outside were shining through the blinds. I had to unscrew the lightbulbs outside of my room. I was just passing through and needed a shower in a couple hours of sleep. I definitely got what I paid for.

The office, on arrival, had zero AC and shut up tight, despite the outside temp was in the 90's the ceiling was falling apart and major sections we're separated. The room was barely clean all the bedding had cigarette burns I. Them, this was a non smoking g room. The AC was ok. The ceiling fan was way out of balanced and rumbled The sink was plugged.. the owner/clerk was nasty, could barely speak, told me at least 5 times he was sold out and I had to tell him I had a reservation! I can't believe you have this motel in your system. Second all time worse motel I've stayed on. And I've stayed in some low rent places...

Do NOT stay here!
The conditions were so atrocious, we were unwilling to stay. We forfeited our money, knowing we wouldn’t get a refund. The room was absolutely disgusting, and we felt very unsafe, as the lock on our door was broken. My fiancé got flea bites from being in the room for only 10 minutes.

Creepy Hotel
I went Mckenzie Inn to check in from. Expedia and the guy was highly unorganized, the hotels looked shabby, and it gave me the creeps! I would not ever recommend this place to anyone! They stated that the room wee rented out was broken up and the bed was broke because someone jumped on it and there were no curtains just white blankets over the windows!

The check in process was a little weird. They didn't seem to have any of my information - I had to pull up my reservation email with prices, tax, and total and they had to take a picture of it. The room was run-down and not very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower would not run hot water. Not much to do in the area, I was there to pick up a dog from a rescue.

Drove 800 miles to find no identifying sign for the motel. While I knew this would not be a high end establishment, I did not expect what happened. After finding the motel, I was greeted in the office by no one. The office was in disrepair with multiple buckets catching roof leaks. On the desk was a computer monitor and a reservation book. Plainly I could see that there was 2 rooms reserved from online. When I finally was ale to find the manager, he informed me that he had no more non-smoking rooms as he had rented them that morning. He stated that he had no way to tell I made the reservation online as he did not have a computer. I was basically told by him to find another hotel. The problem was that I was there for a college graduation and all the area hotels were booked. I had to go almost thirty mile out of my way to find one. Glad the manager was so bad I looked elsewhere, the place was not nice.

Horrible Place
Front desk person was drunk and probably high. Computer was broke and he first told us to go somewhere else because he couldn't check our confirmation. We should him the confirmation thru our phone and he finally decided to do his job. He gave us a room key and the room was dirty, nasty and looked nothing like described in the pictures on Travelocity website. I felt I would catch something. To add two doors down it appeared to be some illegal things going on like prostitution. I didn't feel safe and my husband wasn't having it. So we gave the key back to the front door guy and this time he was drinking in the open. I called Travelocity right away stating my concerns and that I couldn't stay in those conditions. I would recommend taking them off your site because it's a joke and there hasn't been any renovations to that place.

The man at the front desk was drunk and very unkept. The entire place was dirty and run down. Getting the Wi-Fi to work was like jumping through rings of fire. I would not stay here again.

When we arrived the Manager was currently gone so we were shown the room and told we could pay when the got back. The room smelled but I had a air freshener. There was no phone in the room and it was advertised as having the phone. The person on the desk was not familiar with the wi-fi password word so after several attempts I finally had wi-fi . Will not stay there again thou spend $20 more dollars and stay at Best Western.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in.
Please do not chose to stay here!!! This hotel was in so poor of shape. The comforter has dried food stains on it and had not been washed. The tub was nasty. The floor was dirty. The shower curtain was covered with mildew and I took a shower without the curtain closed. Two towels were not even white and there was no wash cloths in the room. It was poorly run. They guy at the desk did not have a clue. The room stunk. The furniture was nasty. There was plywood on the outside of some rooms.

DONT go that hotel!!! It was one of the most creepy hotel ever! If you go front office you will see a lot of water leak from roof to the point they had to put something that water can go in. I lost door key and they couldn't even give me other copy! I don't even have plug to block bath water from go out. Sink too. Those employees actually live in that hotel. They went and look in my room without ask. It's just one of the most creeeeeepy hotel ever. I wouldn't come back. I'd sleep in car if that's only other options!

Room was in extremely bad shape. Carpet turned anything touching it black, shower would scald or freeze at any moment. Ceiling fan ready to fall from mounts. T V set small, fridge made loud noise, bed was falling apart! This place needs to be shutdown before someone gets hurt badly!!!

Worst Hotel Ever
Made a reservation ahead of time and they had no record even though I had a conf #. The staff was not located in the office had to go knock on one of the room doors to locate them. I asked for a non smoke room ahead of time and they put me in a smoking room with holes in the wall, molding missing around the door, room was cold and damp, stains and burn marks on the bed cover and pillows, stains on all the chairs, rugs and walls. They did not even have a trash can in the room. the bath area was dirty and I could not get my money back. I took clothing items from my bag placed them on the bed to lay on covered my head with a winter cap and used my coat to cover myself, did not get much sleep that night and took off early the next morning. WHAT A DUMP

Shower had hair clumps from previous occupant. It was never cleaned. Phone didn't work. Lawn chair for sitting. Old linens. No place to hang your clothes. No dresser or anything on which to put your suitcase. Floor looked like it had not been vacuumed. We left early and quickly. At least the bed linens were clean, just very old.

How they are in business I have no idea.....
If this dive was a 2 star, I would hate to see a one! The office was filthy and the guy running it was in raggedy shorts and a t-shirt. He bragged on his cleanliness while his office was in shambles. He warned me that the room smelled of cinnamon, it did, and smoke and mildew as well. It was not in good shape and the bed frankly scared me. I went and bought a sheet to sleep on top of because the Best Western was sold out. The bathroom had mildew and the water was rusty. There was food left in the mini fridge (circa 1970) that was rotten. This hotel was horrible and I for one feel it should be removed from the sight. Terrible experience.

The room was clean. Television was way too small. I'm not sure the refrigerator worked. Need more electrical outlets in grooming area. Hot and cold water did not stay consistent during shower. Clock did not work and couldn't fix it.

No Frills
I stopped here while on business. This is a no frills budget motel. It is not the Marriott. As long as you are aware of that going in, you will not be disappointed. The staff was very friendly and ready for me when I pulled in. They took care of everything very quickly. The room was clean, which is basically all I cared about since I was only going to be there for about 8 hours. The room had a small flat screen with wireless internet. I had no problems here.

I arrived very late on a Tuesday night to stay in this hotel for an interview the next morning. I chose this hotel because it was the only one listed on hotels.com for this town. As I was driving into town, I saw a Best Western that it turns out I would have rather stayed in. The man running the hotel was SO nice. He was sleeping in the back of the hotel lobby when I arrived - I think he lives there - and when I woke him up at 1am, he was surprising hospitable. Check-in was easy and he even walked down to the room and unlocked it for me. He also gave me a cold bottled water. The room was a king bed room. There was no weird smells, but the furniture was mismatched and very badly dated. It looked like someone had probably cleaned the room - the linens smelled fine - but i just felt like things were dirty. There was a refrigerator and microwave which were clean and I used them both. When I took a shower the next morning, the water in the bottom of the tub was reddish colored because the fixtures were rusting and the oxidized iron was bleeding into the water. The owner had offered late check out the night before so I left my things in my room and went to my interview. When I got back at 12:30pm, I gathered my things and checked out. As I turned in the key, I noticed the owner and someone else (his son?) re-tiling the lobby and working on several of the rooms. Maybe when they finish the work the hotel will be a lot better. Right now, however, I would recommend staying at the other hotel in town. The price was very inexpensive and the owner was super nice, but the cleanliness and condition of the hotel would prevent me from staying there again.

You should drop this hotel from your online reservation. It was so filthy, after checking in, had to leave and find another place, in Paris, Tn. So, paid twice for a place to sleep. The pictures online of the rooms, were very deceptive. The rooms, don't look anything close to the pictures. The management was terrible, had to wait for a phone call to be made, to confirm reservation. The person left to loo after the place, had no idea what to do, and was filthy and seemingly drunk. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
