high expectations, didn't deliverPosted Oct 13, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed here for a wedding. The first night guests from another wedding were involved in a domestic where the police were called. The service at the bar was slow, meal orders were incorrect, slow, poor quality and not worth the money The bathroom had broken tiles, mould in the room, the ceiling was cracked and bits falling off. The gardens and outside appearance was very pretty... a lot of work needs to be done though.

Nice viewPosted Oct 1, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: The location
Location: We loved the Camden food and wine festival and the town was lovely.
Our room was very disappointing, there was no lift and we weren't told there was no lift as we were on the second floor. The bathroom and room smelt wet and musty, the carpets has statins and marks all over the place. The beds were ok but pillows, I wouldn't call them pillows they were so flat and very uncomfortable. We asked for more towels didn't get them first time we had to go to reception to get them. It looked very run down and in need of some love.

How have I missed this motel till now?Posted Sep 2, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Its marvellous country setting. The interesting architecture. The good rooms. The cheerful happy staff. The excellent unpretentious food.
Cons: I'll try to work that out when I go back next time. Because I will go back.
Location: Don't know. I didn't get time to check that out, and I don't think much is needed.
A last minute booking when a friend's birthday party was switched to the Bistro at the Camden Valley Inn. A bit apprehensive because it undersells itself a bit on the website. Arrived at 12 and went to check in to the motel, before the birthday lunch and was admitted to my room even though check in is not till 2. A very pleasant unpretentious but light filled room with a balcony overlooking the wonderful Camden Valley which is one of Australia's prettiest areas. A mini bar (becoming less common in motels these days!) and what turned out to be one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Peace, and rural quiet. Interestingly the rooms are all contained in 7 lodges each containing about 4 or 8 rooms in each. Room service available. Oh and the birthday party was a big success with two or three parties all going full bore in the bistro. There is also a Good looking restaurant. Cost: a bargain!

Lovely & WelcomingPosted Jul 25, 2015 on Hotels
Lovely room and serene view of the country. The room welcomed me with lights on and heating on at 22 degrees Celsius. After an hours drive it was exactly what I needed. Bathroom had a spa tub. Room service, restaurant and all customer service aspects were on par.

Good Hotel for the SuburbsPosted Jul 14, 2015 on Wotif
Hotel was nice and clean. Rooms are dated and need a bit of an upgrade. Carpets and Curtains in our room had visible stains. Towels were a little worn out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Impossible to sleep ! ! !Posted Apr 21, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Dining only.
Cons: Mostly everything.
Location: We were on a one night stopover and did not sightsee .
Booking in was a breeze the staff were fine . We then proceeded to our room to unpack , the decor was old but clean and acceptable , The dining room was much the same but the meals were great . The problems started when we attempted to get some sleep . I would have guessed the occupantsy to be approximately 10 / 15 percent being a Wednesday evening . The walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours breathing , snoring coughing and the like . On checkout we mentioned our problem to the receptionist who seemed quite unconcerned.

Family StayPosted Mar 16, 2015 on Hotels
The building is old and needs an overhaul. I did not sleep well, the fridge was making a loud noise and more importantly I could not find the switch to adjust the airconditioning. I ended up turning off the power to the room to stop the airconditioning as it appeared to be set on warm.
