Excellent stay, perfect location

Posted Jul 1, 2017 on Hotels
A fantastic basic hotel. Slightly dated rooms but with great lobby area, roof top bar / terrace and good roof top pool. Tasty bar food with a medium price tag. Can find cheaper food and drinks elsewhere. Excellent location right next to big shopping centre and tube. 10/15 mins walk from old town which is beautiful. Lots of bars cafes and restaurants. 25 min walk from zoo which is fairly small but one of the best I've been to. Location is perfect, value of hotel really good would not hesitate to stay again. Only downside, no iron in room. Have to pay for laundry service.

You Get What You Pay For

Good value budget hotel close to city centre . Breakfast quality poor, but shopping centre close by as alternative. Parking expensive at 19 euros for 24 hours. Lovely views from 11th floor bar but service very slow.

pleasurable short stay

Posted Jun 16, 2017
Pros: Abundance of red hot water and clean linen
Cons: rooms upgraded
Location: location was fine big shopping mall behind hotel but no good restaurants about ended up eating at the Italians mostly
Stayed in the Expo for 1week, mostly it was fine but think it could really do with an upgrade. Main issue was no sun parasols up on the roof pool so you had to bake in the hot sun very uncomfortable with out the choice of shade. Rooms, were kept clean with fresh towels every day and bed linen changed often but curtains were a bit old as was the horrible velvet chair we had. Good choice of bath and shower but shower curtains out of date now, abundance of red hot water which was excellent, all in all it was fine but wouldn't want to stay longer prefer a hotel a bit more modern.

Excellent location and helpful staff

Really good location! Hotel is right outside Turia metro station and right next to a mall and supermarket open until 10pm so easy access to food and drinks whenever you want. Also good local restaurants if you want to eat out of the hotel, just google around and see what you like. They are bus stops right outside the entrance of the hotel that are well connected to wherever you want to go - beach (la Malva rossa), central market, Rusafa area etc. - only €1.50 for a single bus journey. The hotel is also next to Jardín del Turia which has some beautiful bike paths (easy to rent a bike for the day, just google companies near the hotel or ask at the hotel reception) and connected directly to the City of Arts and Sciences (which contains museums, imax theatre, aquarium etc.) The pool was nice but very basic and a bit small, rooftop bar was a bit expensive can find cheaper options in surrounding area. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, our door stopped working and even though it took a few hours to fix they were very nice about it, check in and out was easy and they were super helpful and printed out some tickets for us. Overall a good hotel, a bit basic but good for the price and very good location.

Bland hotel far from it all

Posted Jun 13, 2017 on Hotels
For a 3 star it is ok, but the rooms were so dated, and bland. The bed was quite hard which wasn't relaxing, the brown/orange comforter was 1970's style. The wifi was decent, able to stream but video calling was choppy.the bathroom was ok, but the shower curtail made it seem low rent. The rooftop pool was beautiful, a bit chilly and windy but still a great view and a nice touch. The lobby was nice and checking was quick, but checkout was slow. The reduced rate parking is €19/night, not a big discount. We parked on the street, free after 20:00 until 9:00 and free on Sunday! We walked to the historic old town in 15 minutes, but you just feel so far removed from the action.

Pros: The situation lovely shopping mall and food supermarket next door also excellent choice of eating places all with in a few minutes walk
Cons: There were lots of youngsters staying at hotel and we're very noisey so it would have been appreciated if management had, had a word with their chaper

7 day break at the Expo allowed us to visit all City sights on foot. Nice hotel with good staff and facilities.Hotel is situated just off the Beautiful old river bed walking, cycling and running park area that runs through the beautiful city to the sea. Breakfast was buffet style with ample choice for all. All in all excellent choice at at good price.
