Long weekend to visit family.

Pros: Location good for our purposes with ease of access to/from area.
Cons: Larger area for breakfast with additional tables would be better, but crowds limited in size made space currently adequate for purpose.
Location: Due to wild fire problems north of Bay Area, refocused activities to south. Location well suited for access to roads southerly.
Facility location and service very good for us. Staff friendly and handled our needs. Largely we were away from hotel with family local.

It was hard to find since the addresses in the area skip Fromm 300 West to 500 East In one block. But everything else was quite nice. I thought I had reserved 2 queens per room but they only had one . I asked if there were ANY rooms with 2 beds and they said no and no rollaway. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. I would not use Expedia again. Too much hassle

Lacking the Details.

Pros: The good location and the fair price for a weekend stay.
Cons: The spa was only half filled with green water. It appeared broken but there were no signs to this effect and no one was working on it.
Location: Shopping - 10 mins away. Restaurants - walking distance. Highway - 2 miles east. Fast food - Next door. No pool and nothing much for kids to do.
We decided to book another stay at the Larkspur Landing Hotel. We like the location of this hotel and, as a result, we usually check their rates prior to booking a room in the San Jose area. In general, the weekend rates tend to be lower than weekday rates but I suspect this is a typical strategy for most hotels. The check-in process was really nice as the desk staff were a lot friendlier than was the case on my last visit. In this case, I arrived at 3:00 and was quickly assigned a room. However, that room was not what I really wanted. As a fairly tall person, I do not like to get the room designated for the physically challenged as everything is lower. The sinks are lower, the counter tops are lower, and so too is the tub. This makes a hazardous situation for me. Also, this room is right next to the elevator shaft and so this is a disruption as night owls make use of the elevator and then, to add insult to injury, proceed to chatter as they walk down the hall which is effectively an echo chamber. The bottom line is that the room was not quiet at all. The big surprise, though, was the fact that the room is not serviced everyday. I left at 8:30am and returned at 10:00pm on Saturday to find the room still unkempt. I called the front desk and was told that "today was not the day in which my room would be cleaned." So, what that meant, given I stayed only two nights is that the only time my room was clean was when I arrived.

Nice hotel with easy access to the main roads

Location: Very close to SANTANA Row restaurants and shops
The most friendly check in staff “Christine” was so sweet and very attentive to our needs. We were in town visiting our daughter and wanted to be close to the main restaurants and this property was perfect. The facility itself was clean and nicely decorated how ever our rooms lamps were tired and the blinds needed repair. I notified the staff and they seemed very concerned and apologized for the inconvenience. All in all we would stay there again. Oh and yes they had fresh baked cookies at night 😉

Pros: Have kitchenette facility.
Cons: Light is too dim in the room.
Location: Winchester Mystery House.
Register at 1 pm and waited another 15 minutes to get a room. Was given a room near laundry facility and complain to front desk and was promptly replaced with a quiet room. Good continental breakfast. I rate their facility better than Stay America.

Friendly staff but tired hotel

Pros: The staff, bed, bedding, bath towels
Cons: Brighten the rooms with higher wattage bulbs, fix the spa, new blow dryers, would be nice to have an outdoor space to relax other than out front.
Though the exterior of the hotel, lobby and breakfast lounge were all very attractive, our room was dark (low wattage energy saving bulbs) and felt very oppressive. The blow dryer was more a heating element without the blow. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, which is always a relief. And the bath towels were fluffy soft and absorbent. We booked the room for a conference that I was attending, specifically for the outdoor whirlpool spa - which when we took a peek at it, was in a bleak small corner outside of the fitness room and had construction tape hung in the entire area and not operational - very disappointing that there wasn't a forewarning. The fitness room was small but the machines were all operational, fresh filtered water machine and ample towels. No matts to stretch or do floor work. That being said, the staff deserve 5 stars as they were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

It was very comfortable seeing like being at home. Easy access getting to Montalvo Winery and getting back to the hotel. Yes we will come back there and stay again
