The hotel is an old 19th Century, if not earlier, residence in the heart of the Spanish colonial city with only ten rooms, and a short walk from the malecon. It had charming courtyards and was absolutely magical. Room, staff, breakfast, room all up to first class international standards. A real treat in a really lovely Mexican city.

AMAZING Boutique hotel in the hearth of old down town Campeche. Incredible service, place, rooms and food. Is like living a dream. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Outstanding. I travel a lot and strongly prefer local hotels with character. Don Gustavo has it all. Wonderful welcoming staff. Large immaculate room. The breakfast is as good as you’ll find anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at Casa Don Gustavo in June 2022 for 5 nights. The place is in the very middle of the Campeche historic area, with many nice restaurants close by. The hotel is in a beautifully restored historic building and furnished with antiques. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Some speak good English and the others try. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Quaint historic hotel in a converted family house. Oozing with charm and history. Rooms are HUGE with 2 rooms each. Beds are a little saggy, cut everything else is perfect. The included breakfast served right outside your door was a bonus

Beautiful hotel with historic rooms but the ones on the street are very loud. The staff was not as warm and welcoming as at other hotels in Mexico.

Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful with ice cold a/c. Employees were friendly and helpful especially Buni and Mauro. This place completely exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect also.

Excellent location, friendly staff beautiful facilities a good restaurant all within easy walking distance of site in the historic walled Campeche and the Malcon on the waterfront. This is a great place to visit and I can highly recommend the Casa Don Gustavo Boutique Hotel.

I booked this hotel on my phone while on the bus to Campeche and was pleasantly surprised at just how nice it was! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and the bed was so comfortable. We loved the location in the centro historico and we could walk everywhere. The staff was so nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Campeche.

Not pleasant, disaster stay
the most unbelievable aspect of the stay was that on the first night we started hearing loud music played at around 12AM. Initially we thought it was coming from the nearby bars, but the music started getting louder and louder and we could hear people screaming and talking loud. I then looked over the window and it was the hotel employees in the courtyard playing Banda music and singing as if it was open air karaoke night. I called the front desk and the person who answered knew exactly what I was calling about, he even asked if it was too loud, and I told him yes, we cannot sleep. Moments after we called the noise and the music stopped. But it was incredible that this would happen. Now, what is most incredible is the following night, at around 1am, we started hearing the loud noises, the loud music, and the staff singing on the courtyard again. This time we tried calling the front desk but the line was busy. We waited and tried again and the phone line was busy again. After failing to reach the front desk after more than 15 minutes I had to open up the bathroom window and literally screaming I told the staff that we could hear the loud music and the singing and if they could please stop. And believe me, I am not exaggerating. This was not a soft radio voice or mumbling

Great location , although amongst the hustle and bustle , very quiet hacienda with tranquil areas and small pool with hammocks , beautiful central courtyard where breakfast is served , nice big rooms with large modern bathrooms , on the only street in town where tables and chairs are set up the street in front of the restaurants and bars

Excellent hotel in the centre of Campeche
This a perfect hotel in the centre of Campeche, the rooms are big and charming. My only compering is that the bed is a little soft and I prefer hard beds. If they could have a solid base for the bed, that would improve a lot the quality of the bed since the mantelas is new, the problem is the soft support of it. The City is super beautiful, so clean and nice with the light colours in the walls. Food is extraordinary, we really enjoy out stay

Great location.
Very central; nice old colonial style hotel- like staying in one of the tourist attractions. Pool small and needed cleaning. Staff friendly and helpful. Valet parking - the street is closed to traffic.

Emerge into another century
This is by far one of the best hotel we've been. The staff is extremely nice, they always smiling and serves you with great manners. The hotel decoration has a French touch with an old century decor. The pool is sparkly clean and accessible. The hotel is located in the heart where everything happens, from morning to night, there's always something to do on this strip. They Valet parking is absolutely the best. We will definitely come back to this great hotel.

Toilet and bed in same room. Weird! And gross!
This place is for those who like their bathroom and their bed in the same room. There is technically a wall between the 2 but with a huge opening where you would expect a door. But unfortunately there isn't... The toilet has walls around but is fully opened at the top which let's you enjoy the sound and the smell of anything that's happening in there. I guess if you go to this hotel by yourself it doesn't matter. Other than that the hotel is very nice and very typical.

Great location in historic Campeche
This is a great place to stay if you are visiting historic Campeche city. The hotel is very well maintained, and the room we stayed in was very clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff is very friendly. And the food at the restaurant is excellent. I knocked off a point in room comfort because our bedroom faced in towards the courtyard, but did not have any windows to the street. So it was a bit dark.

This is a beautiful hotel with a rich history. It was restored about 5 years ago but is in need of maintenance. While our room was quite spacious - the walls had peeling paint all over and it smelled damp and like mildew. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating and the restaurant is good.

A necklace was stolen from our room. At that price you'd expect to be able to trust the hotel staff not stealing your valuables but I guess we were wrong and naive about that. And it's not as if there was a safe we could have used.

Great hotel on best street in the old city.
Everything exceeded our expectations. Great location. Exquisite room. We usually prefer to not stay in luxury hotels but this was not "stuffy".

A perfect hotel!
This hotel really transports you to the Campeche of the 19th century. The rooms are decorated with antiques, yet what needs to be modern is modern (tv, ipod dock, bathroom). The staff is well trained, polite and discreet. The common areas are very nice - we had an awesome lazy afternoon by the pool. The restaurant is very good, and you can be served any place you want. One night we had dinner at the beautiful formal dinning room, the next day we had breakfast by the fountain. This hotel is tightly managed and centered around guest satisfactoom. The locatopm is awesome in an ancient and perfectly preserved pedestrian-only street, right by the old city wall. My only gripe is that although my room was fantastic (master suite) it faced the street, and saturday night the street music did not stop until 1 am. Better sound insulation would make this a perfect place

What a treat!
My wife and I give this hotel all 5"s, except one little thing. My wife is on crutches and because the streeet in front of this hotel is pedestrian only, my wife had to walk about 40 feet from the nearest corner, which was a bit of a hardship for her. But the hotel itself, the service, the ambience, the location right in the middle of this remarkable city--everyting was top flight.
