This a perfect hotel in the centre of Campeche, the rooms are big and charming. My only compering is that the bed is a little soft and I prefer hard beds. If they could have a solid base for the bed, that would improve a lot the quality of the bed since the mantelas is new, the problem is the soft ...
The room has just the basics, but you will for sure find a clean room and bathroom, and the staff always trying to find ways to help you, you will only receive a nice smile and answer.
Great location close to the Plaza and malecon. Old colonial hotel with an attached restaurant. Restaurant is pleasant. Beautiful old colonial building. Our room was quite dark with only one window, but nicely furnished with comfortable beds, pillows, and quiet air conditioning. It was the last available ...
This was our first visit to Campeche. The location was close to the main market, restaurants and the Malecon. The hotel was beautiful. The pool very refreshing in the +32C heat
The hotel staff was very friendly. Juanita went above and beyond! We were able to hang our laundry up on the roof. The pool was really refreshing as it was hot and humid. The owner Gorge was vary gracious and spent the day with us driving us down south to the beaches. Each. It was a windy and then ...
Conveniently close to restaurants and shops around town, friendly staff, pretty standard room, nothing fancy. Didn’t like that for any natural light to come in the window drape would have to be open, allowing anyone in the street a direct view of the entire room. Aside from that, pleseant stay.
My first night was in a room on the first floor facing the street. This room had a smell. I'm not sure whether it was the furniture paint or humidity. I was changed to the second floor the following night and this was a much pleasant room. The staff in the hotel were all very nice.
We were told that the building in which Hotel Castelmar is located was built over 200 years ago by the Spanish as a customs house for the nearby port. The hotel has 26 rooms around a central open courtyard which serves as a relaxed dining area. An adjacent courtyard holds a small pool. The common ...
This is a fun city to explore history. The narrow cobblestone streets with their little shops inside the walls of the old city are fun to explore. There is also a great bike and walking path along the ocean. There is no beach or place to swim in Campeche. This a a very safe modern community.
I like to drive...easy to find, easy self park....and in the historic city...walk to everything. The food was exceptional...sunday buffet with piano player....was exceptional. Campeche...is the old spanish fortress city...colonial.. As in all Mexico...there is a cultural life in streets...and the ...
Friendly staff. Reasonable facilities, good breakfast. Walking distance to city. We got a very good deal on this, cheaper than a motel in the US. When we first got there the sheets were a little bit dirty, asked the staff to change them. Otherwise no problems.
Nice classic older hotel 3 blocks from a beautiful spanish church and town square and 4 blocks from the ocean boardwalk....but we were there on a friday night and the noise coming in from the traffic and the bar restaurant to our room was very loud.Good thing we were tired and put pillows over our ...
The one of a kind pool , the garden, the food, the service, the location, the city, everything is beautiful !
We paid 35.00 a night and were very satisfied for the price. It does not look great from the outside but the rooms were clean and in very good condition. If your looking for a vacation hotel I would recommend another but if your doing business its a great deal.
