Stunning Hotel in the Heart of Amsterdam

Posted May 26, 2017
Pros: Five Star Luxury with a quirky design which adds to the homely feel about the place. Every member of staff made the effort to speak.
Cons: Wider european choice of menu in the brasserie which woud encourage Customers to eat in the restaurant.
Location: All the sightseeing is within walking distance and the main shops are a 5 minute walk and also lovely restaurants.
This is an exceptional hotel located within a great area within Amsterdam. From the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough for you. Outstanding Customer Service with a homely feel about the place. Rooms were lovely and extremely clean, breakfast was fantastic and the courtyard was a haven to relax and have drinks on our return from sightseeing. Beautiful shops are located in the surrounding streets and there is an upmarket feel about the whole area where the hotel is located. Will definately return to this hotel

Wonderful Hotel in a Beautiful City

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: The friendly staff, the superior location and the hotel facilities are fabulous.
Location: The Dylan is close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is right in the middle of the attractive Nine Streets shopping area.
My wife and I had a pleasant three night stay at this charming hotel. It's in a great, but quiet, shopping neighborhood on a picturesque canal. The service and food were first rate. The food at Occo was very good, but try to get a reservation at Vinkeles, the Michelin-starred restaurant on the premises.

Interesting room configuration

Posted Apr 26, 2017
This time we got a room in the "old" wing. Lift to the room is where the breakfast lounge/ bar area is. That is the first interesting point. We got a room with toilet and bath up on the second floor. The bed room downstairs is pretty well lit from natural lit during the day. But if you shut all the blinds, the room is pretty dark even with all the lights on. Very romantic lighting. Up in the bath/washroom, the bath is huge, but the shower is tiny. The basin has no mirror In front of it, rather it's a window that you can check out what the next door neighbour is up to for the day. Instead, there was a full mirror on one side of the bathroom and the other with a magnifying mirror (with no light). Hard for me to put any makeup or my husband to shave. The shape of basin and faucet were unconventional. The faucet was on the left hand side of the odd shape basin. Every time I wash my face, I had to twist a bit to the left to do so. The water supply was inconsistent at the shower, and affected temperature. And the light switches, we had to run around the room to have them turned on and off. The room was just plain weird. I would make sure I don't get that room next time. The rest was all good. Room was clean, bed was good and service was good.

Great hotel with fabulous service

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: Friendliness and great service.
Cons: Room service food!
Location: Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and local sights.
Spent 3 nights here for a friend's birthday. Lovely experience and great location. Rooms are well proportioned and very comfortable. Staff go out of their way to please. Only downside was room service - expensive, small portions and not much selection. Don't let it hold you back though!

A first class hotel in a brilliant, central but quiet location on Keizersgracht. Highly recommended - we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect location

Posted Apr 12, 2017
On a last minute trip to Amsterdam, my daughter and I were lucky enough to find this jewel of a hotel. On a quiet street, it is within easy walking of everything. The room was lovely. The staff exceedingly helpful and pleasant. The breakfast delicious. There is a outstanding restaurant and a beautiful outdoor terrace. We'll be back for certain.
