Great value & located hotel

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Great value hotel. Perfectly located in the realm precinct near great restaurants and bars. Only fault was a loud garbage truck which came 7:30am both nights opposite our room. Our window was slightly ajar making it noisey.

Pros: The opulence, supremely comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms and helpful staff.
Cons: Lighting above the kitchenette in the 2 bedroom apartment was a bit dim for evening/early morning food preparation.
From the check-in to departure, staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The facilities are extremely comfortable, clean, cosy and classy.

Hotel itself is nice but customer service could use some work. Barely any explanation upon arrival or room, parking, ect. Always a line at the front desk.

Great location in Canberra for main sights

Posted Jul 12, 2016
Pros: Reception were great and good at problem solving in this complicated set up Classy rooms and great location
Cons: house staff need some training on room and guest management - my room was offered to be cleaned at 6-30pm
Location: Ideal spot in Barton for many cultural pursuits
Very stylish hotel on first appearances - but the Burbury is just a dormitory with all facilities in another hotel across the road

Missing the Care factor

Posted Jul 11, 2016
Pros: Nice bed, Apple TV a nice touch.
Cons: Staff. On arrival set up if computers means they always have their heads down. Get impression they are just going through the motions. dirty carpets!
Location: The maple and clove is a great cafe, beats any of the ones across the road!
Confusion on arrival as allocation changes not communicated. Finally put in disabled room. Woken at 0200 by vibrating pipes that sounded like an alarm it was so loud. Went down to desk guy at desk wanted to help but not much he could do. Asked him to get management to call when in, of course no call! That morning went to leave lift to find pool of vomit/ blood just outside. Notified front desk, an hour later when back from coffee was still there! Asked for taxi at 0500, when went down to front desk no one in! No notices. Finally rang hotel and got the team at Hotel Realm, they tried but could not check me out. They night manager there said would email a copy of my invoice......he hasn't two days later.
