This place in a great location, room is clean. unfortunately all good things ends there. staff had trouble to find my booking, very noisy Saturday night inside and outside the hotel. Room is dated especially bathroom, definitely need some new towels, the current one is close to rags. The restaurant use to be good but not anymore. Shoestring fries are super dry and the soup has no taste.

Location was the best thing about this hotel, busy hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet is gluten-free friendly and foods are labelled which is nice with a separate gluten-free station and toaster. The rooms are very dated, however clean for what they are, cracked tiles in the bathroom. Barely existent water pressure and mould on bottom of the shower curtain. Service upon check-in from office manager was fantastic. However the service in the hotel was substandard at best- took over 25 minutes to get a coffee on the first morning, and even then we had to leave and never ended up getting it. On the second morning, it took 20 minutes to get a coffee and a further 15 to get a hot chocolate. Excessively slow . No concierge available at all to help with bags upon either check-in or check out. No one checked the booking notes either - (my daughter and husband have severe feather/down allergies and I’d requested and phoned the week prior to confirm that bedding without feathers would be used- they reassured me it would be fine) within minutes of our arrival my daughter needed to use her medication as she was finding breathing difficult. Room had 8 feather pillows and beds had feather doonas. Was very disappointed and probably won’t be returning. Waste of money for us.

Everything was great except for the dining experience. I was expecting a meal to match the rest of the place but unfortunately it was a great disappointment. If what l got was the best your chef could do, then its time you got a new chef.

Large but well appointed property right near the centre of Civic. Had to pay for parking which was a bummer but had above ground parking as well which suited our over height vehicle.

We booked a room for 3 people and had to ask for either an extra towel, glass or cup every time even though we had mentioned it each time we booked out as we stayed for 3 separate occasions during our visit to Canberra.

The only shortcoming was arriving at 1450 for a 1500 Check In, and then waiting until approximately 1530 to receive our room key. Rooms were a little noisy, and car parks are quite narrow. Better a bit narrow than no park at all though. This said, every other aspect was exceptional.

Amazing experience
It is an amazing hotel and has Amazing breakfast and hospitality. We were celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday, and they made it special by offering complementary cake during breakfast. Top class. Will stay again.

Our stay
Great service and unbeatable location. Our original city room 249 was actually looking over the roof and air conditioning unit. We asked to be relocated and was obliged to the correct room.

I like the Crowne Plaza. The rooms are a bit old but well designed, large and comfortable, close to everything, easy to get to and the rooms I have had look out over a park.
