Great value, very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast. Very slow checking in with only one staff member on reception. Had to wait 20 minutes.

nice location suited our needs.

Cons: Staff training to listen to what the customer is saying, especially on checking in.
Location: very suitable
we didn't stay around the hotel much, as we had other activities with our grandchildren.

Cons: Designated parking spots would be appreciated.
First time at this hotel, was quite surprised for the price. Older hotel that has been partially refurbished but quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Although a lot of parking was available there was quite a few cars taking 2 spots (parking in the middle) meaning had to park a fair distance from room.

A quick stay

Posted Mar 4, 2017
Pros: Location good for our needs. Reasonable price. Quiet location
Cons: Needs a good Reno and doona covers instead of folded over sheets. Need to fix slamming doors on every room.
Location: Close to Woden centre, Manuka centre and Fyshwick markets.
Just needed somewhere to relax and sleep for the night during an emergency trip to Canberra. Room upstairs, (no lift?) no particular view, unless you like catholic centres. Room was freezing on aircon when we arrived. Room clean, spacious. Sheets fitted weirdly. The door slams, as will everyone else's in the corridor if they let them and they do... Tried to watch a free movie on Netflix and it wouldn't play. Found the same movie in the hotel's movie collection and started watching. We got booted out of the film several times. Apparently IT person on til 10 but we didn't know this, and was after 10 by the time we'd almost given up. Sleep interrupted by slamming doors in the corridor. More like a boarding house than a hotel!

Dear Karen, I was deeply concerned to read about the points you had mentioned with regards to the noises and guest entertainment system. I apologise wholeheartedly. We thank you for staying with us and hope to win back your trust on another visit. Regards, Debbie Sheilds, Guest Experience Manager

Ibis Canbera

Overall it's a good motel. The only thing I would be picky is after stating there 4 nights I wanted to entend my stay but they charged me an extra $50 a night on top of my average price I was originally paying a night. I thought that was I but steep

very nice for the budget oriented customer

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: the convenient position for what i wanted out of my stay in Canberra
Cons: as i said the outside of the courtyard needs updating and the pool are some of the tiles in the pool missing it gives the appearance of neglect
Location: location good nice and quiet but unfortunately can not say same for guests and the for slamming contrary to the notice in the hallway
I over all enjoyed my stay the staff very friendly and very helpful and willing. I do think some aspects need bit of atention some of the outdoor spots bit grubby looking specially the cigarette buts in the sad looking planters by rooms 201 to 400 + also the corridor by the entrance always littered with debris form the outside a vac would be helpful
