Good location but not 4 star.

We checked into our room and started to unpack.. Opened the bathroom door and the toilet was running and one of two bathroom lights were out. A pleasant member of staff came worked on the toilet and changed the light bulb. He did say we could change rooms if we wanted. We declined as we had unpacked. Later the toilet got worse and was running loudly, the clasp on the toilet roll holder was broken and toilet paper exploded all over the floor, the handle on the bathroom door was half broken, the exhaust fan was so noisy and cold and the shower floor was dangerous as it was so slippery. The tea cups had no saucers. Operating the TV required a keyboard, a remote and a long list of laminated instructions and an IT degree!!. We have been in hotels from Tashkent to NY and have never had such a complicated experience to turn on a TV to watch just free to air. Maybe we should have changed rooms in hindsight, however the hotel was very full with a car club conference and so we thought we would be relegated to the second floor and there are no lifts, just stairs.
