Conveniently Edge of Town

Posted Jan 15, 2017
Pros: Quick checkin, tidy comfortable rooms, good rate
Cons: Staying in a room off a corridor meant you could hear all goings on and conversations in corridor from less considerate guests.
Location: We were meeting friends at German club/restaurant nearby. Easy walk. NB, restaurant average at best
Was dubious when my booking for three returned details of my room only having a queen bed but was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to also have a single. Didn't have to ask or clarify , it was already done. Pleasant staff at checkin. Ideal overnight stop on our way further south.

Nice location

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Cons: Cleanliness
Toilet seat was not cleaned thoroughly. When my husband lifted the toilet seat up, there was urine running down seat. There was stain on one of the towels provided to us. Other than the issues, the hotel is located at a very convenient location, close to the city and the Outlet Centre.

Value for money

Posted Dec 29, 2016
Hotel is a bit far from city ie not walking distance. Though very clean, staff very helpful, the appliance inside the rooms are a bit out dated. Aircon was not cool and feels only just a fan. A big plus is that it has family rooms were 5 people can sleep.

Dear Joseph, Thank you. I am so pleased you enjoyed our Family Room, they are great value indeed. Our Maintenance team has sorted out the air conditioning, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. Being 8 minutes from the War Memorial and Parliament House, the Hotel's location is a fantastic one. We are literally right next door to Manuka and Kingston, the hot spots to eat and drink. It's great that you enjoyed our Hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Regards, Debbie Sheilds, Guest Experience Manager

Staff were very helpful,BUT the room let them down

Posted Oct 16, 2016
Location: A car is necessary to explore the sights and sounds of Canberra as the Motel is out of the city centre, but not too far.
When we first entered the room the television did not function per the instructions and finally a call to the front desk "brought can you try this or then that" instead of I will be right up to check on this for you. The remote still never turned the television off even at the end of our stay. The main mattress had so many lumps it was beyond comprehension and had never been turned by the look of it, to even out the filling. The bathroom was clean and well stocked and the water pressure was good. 10/10 for that. As our room was a family room and close to the stairs people coming and going could be noisy at night but overall the room was pretty fair.

It was basic but totally fine. Bed was comfortable, nice to have a balcony. I was near the entrance, was a bit too loud for my liking in the morning.

Comfortable stay for a short visit.

Posted Oct 9, 2016
Pros: They have happy hour drinks Staff were friendly. Breakfast included
Cons: The complimentary coffee bay wasn't stocked and the hot water was cold You had to pay extra for upgraded breakfast.
Location: Only a short drive back into the city and surrounding sights of Canberra. Easy to get too by car
