Good accommodation near the city

Posted May 25, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Cleanliness. Location
Location: Kingston and Manuka are both close with good coffee shops, restaurants etc. Also took a walk on the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin - lovely.
Very good facilities for spending a few days. Good location.

Great location

Posted May 18, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location, value, comfort, pool, parking, friendly staff. Lots to like.
Cons: The faux Colonial architecture is awful! (and dated). The buildings are solid and could easily modernise their outward appearance.
Location: 3 minute level stroll to great cafes and restaurants. Close driving or cycling proximity to the lake and National Gallery/Questacon precinct.
Had a great time visiting Canberra from Sydney with another family staying at the same hotel. Kids enjoyed visiting their mates across the leafy central courtyard. Although the bathroom was a little dated it was all very clean and great value. Furnishings were up to date and comfortable, and plenty of space for a family in the 2 bedroom suite.

Location: Very pretty area near Telopea Park and Kingston foreshore. Great eating places at Kingston and Manuka.
Good location for Kingston foreshore with Sunday markets and eating areas. Close to Parliament and cultural venues. Also close to Manuka. Bus route was also very handy to get into Civic.

Good sized apartment near restaurants

Posted Apr 11, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Good value for money.
Cons: Bathroom clean but due for renovation.
Location: A 5-10 minute walk to restaurants & supermarket. A short drive to many attractions, eg Old Parliament House, Questacon and National Art Gallery.
Apartment is a little dated but a very comfortable size with large bathroom and handy laundry facilities. Both bedrooms good size.

Spotless, comfy and friendly

Posted Apr 10, 2016 on Hotels
A quick overnighter for the running festival, so didn't make the most of what the hotel offered. Beds were super comfy, rooms spotless and well-kitted out. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Nice apartment close to shops

Posted Apr 9, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Quiet and close to facilities.
Cons: Shower over bath was a little worn as the screen got stuck with me in it. Staff were very responsive to report the fault.
Location: Great restaurants, shops, walk to Canberra sights.
Very close to restaurants and shops, very clean and quiet. Nice staff and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom.
