Rooms need to be updated, very tired. Lovely view and a tiny balcony but the room we were assigned didnt match the photos or the rest of the foyer decor and styling which was very disappointing 😑 wouldnt reccomend for the price you pay youre better off staying elsewhere

Major work site next door meant noise from 6:30 am except on Sunday morning. Parking appears to be open to all-comers which includes diners in the restaurant, so plan ahead because the car park is full by about 4 pm, and there really isn't anywhere else close by to park - only option is to circle and circle and hope someone leaves, or just park illegally. This situation could be easily resolved by limiting parking to hotel guests only. One of the female reception staff was quite rude and unhelpful. The reception was under-staffed which caused friction between some of the guests.

Nice and clean hotel. The bed was not comfortable as the mattress bounces a lot when your partner turns around. We had two sleepless nights and were considering to leave the hotel after the first night. Otherwise all good.

Most things were ok. The exhaust system in the bathroom though was terrible. Everytime I showered the mirrors were left with a thick film of vapour that took ages to disappear. There’s a fair bit of noise during the day from the work nearby. Mostly tolerable. The reception staff were mostly ok.

This is not to the standard of the Sydney and Melbourne locations, and is clearly an old Rydges (or similar) that has had a few quick and minor cosmetic modifications. My room was opposite the lift so it was really noisy, and the furnishings are looking ratty and worn. The heating and cooling is most likely the original 1970s system and is loud. The bathroom was cramped and dated with no exhaust fan. The staff at the front desk were reasonably friendly and helpful though.
