Very nice place

Very nice place but a bet over priced for what you get. I would choose a different place to stay the next time because of the price and also because they bill you a extra dollar us each day to a charity with out even asking you. So make sure you check your bill. Also they will tell you the local calls are free and they are not.

Not as expected

Cons: Everything including service
Location: Location was fine.
For the amount charged including all the extras, the hotel charged more extras for a double bed versus king when the room clearly had the option of either or. Not professional and cheap to charge $50 when paying over $400 a night for the rooms. The hotel is not as nice or modern, no amenities at all and is at best a 3-star hotel. Other options far exceed do not stay at this hotel, I will not again.

Not worth a 4-star hotel

After staying at this hotel for two nights and one all-inclusive hotel for 2 nights, I would highly recommend people to stay at all-inclusive hotels to enjoy your trip at Cancun. The hotel room is pretty big, but the overall quality is just okay. By the way, the hotel staff is pretty hard to negotiate.

We made the best of staying at a Bad Hotel

We stayed at Casa Turquesa for 5 nights. When we arrived, we immediately sensed that something was off with this hotel. The staff was not happy, there was no one at the pool and no one in the restaurant. The decor of the hotel is nice for an art museum but not a resort. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and we were the only ones there. The food was semi warm and they charged us $22 each for "Buffet Breakfast". Needless to say we didn't spend another $1 on food here. We paid $18/day for Wi-Fi that worked for 5 minutes and then stopped. We complained to front desk about over priced food and wi-fi. They did not offer to remove any charges. On day 2, we noticed that someone entered our room when we were away and took one of the mini-bar candy. We assumed that the staff needed it for another room, but sure enough, they tried to charge us for this when we checked out. Enough said, Cancun is beatiful, but Casa Turquesa is a small hotel from the past. We will stay at a real 4 star resort for our next visit. Everything that other visitors have said about the food, staff, and hotel are true. I'm going to enjoy seeing managements responses to this.

Lovely hotel, great location, clean, friendly staff. Hotel manager Mus is great! Such a fun vacation. Nice and quiet, no parties at this hotel. Very tranquil.

Nice hotel on the beach

This is a nice cozy lil hotel tucked away in between the behemoths. The rooms (and bathrooms) were very large with lots of space. The balcony gives a great view over the beach and ocean (4th floor room). Food/beverage service was very good/prompt and the staff was outstanding! The manager Mustafa is hilarious and very friendly. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home and comfortable. Did I mention he is funny? The guests are mostly an older crowd. The pool was too cold for my comfort (not heated) especially as we had a few not-so-sunny days. We (gf and me) had a great time here just chilling by the pool, walking on the beach. Low key/no frills vacation as it was intended. Walking distance to a couple of shopping malls and very good restaurants.

Better off elsewhere

Pros: The view was fine, as are all views from the Hotel Zone. Therefore, I could have found the same view elsewhere, without any trouble from management.
Cons: Management. He was not pleasant to deal with, not trustworthy and made inappropriate remarks one more than one occasion to both me and my colleagues.
Location: The location was fine if you want a super-touristy, excessive shopping, chain restaurant eating experience.
While it is easy to look past the hotel's dated design and room decor, it is not easy to look past a less than professional manager (perhaps even owner) and their staff. He was quite rude upon our arrival but acted as if it was simply sarcasm and good humor. He informed me that I had reserved more rooms than were available at their lower price-point but that they had resolved the problem and ended up giving (without our request) my colleague and I a large suite. This was more than kind of them but also not necessary - we simply wanted the rooms we had originally reserved. In the end, while final payment was being made, he attempted to charge us an upgrade fee for each room, per night. I explained that this could not be as we did not request any upgrade. He did oblige and acted as if he were doing me a favor by removing the fee. Also, he attempted to quote my final payment as more than what Expedia had quoted and which I had agreed to when I paid my deposit. I showed him my original reservation through Expedia and once again, he obliged and acted as if he were being generous by not asking for a higher rate. In the end I paid what was expected (however, the one dinner we had at the hotel was alarmingly expensive with $20+ margaritas), but it was quite unsettling that he would make multiple attempts to get me to pay more than what was arranged through Expedia. I trust Expedia but I don't appreciate that he would try to manipulate that existing system.

We have checked and you were given an upgrade from a Partial Ocean View to a 2bed Ocean View Suite with living room and dining room, so that you could hold your group readings, at no charge. During your stay we checked with you several times and at no point did you complain. We do not feel it is fair to write negative comments about our services when our staff did their best to make your stay enjoyable. We would reiterate the the room upgrade charge for the 2bed suite was waived. With regards to our F&B pricing, guests are not obliged to consume drinks - our prices are stated on our menus and are comparable with other 4*hotels in the area.

Service, service,service

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The staff was very receptive to my wife and I request. They were all very courtious and polite. My wife is a native Spanish speaker and I can get by. Enough of the staff speaks English so there is not an issue there. The food was great and the receiptionist and director are very personable. Miguel and his staff in the restaurants are professional and warm and inviting. I would definitely come back.
