Had a great time in Cancun!

Overall the hotel and it's staff did a great job making sure our stay was relaxing and comfortable. The staff obviously are focused on making the stay a positive experience and understand that good reviews mean continued patronage.
There was construction going on and they made sure it didn't impact our stay. We had a room with a great view and the staff use nice touches like artistic designs laid out in colored rice on the bed and table on different days during our stay. The room was always well stocked and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and clean.
Building a relationship with the concierge is critical as there isn't a lot of information about what is going on around the property provided in the room like some resorts have. Although, be wary about the sales pitch they want to give you. We personally were unable to use our perks received after the pitch, which was mostly our fault for being busy with other activities. In any case doubt it was worth the hassle of 90 minutes of our day consumed by the whole thing.
A small bit of advice for those doing excursions, is to find the local guides. We found one on the beach, they can arrange some of the best deals and will accompany you personally. Very worth while.
We would repeat, although our personal preference is to always try something new and maybe further off the beaten path, but again, that is just us. If you are looking for a solid all inclusive that is family friendly it's a good choice.
