Nice hotel, close to everything.

Posted May 22, 2017
Staff concierge are pushy, otherwise staff is great. Food: average at best, would like to see better prepared food and variety. Disappointed with allowed smoking. On a good note, this is a nice place to stay, plenty of options whether your there to relax or take advantage of the optional activities.

Solid 4 Star Resort

Posted May 19, 2017
Pros: The food and staff are great.
Cons: Renovate the rooms. IMO, the head concierge is more concerned with selling timeshares then assisting guests.
Location: Public buses are close and Cancun shopping is only minutes away.
I uploaded a video on Youtube because it's difficult to review a resort with words and pictures don't tell the whole story. Search "Screw Bee Do GR Caribe" and it should pop up. Thanks to Eliseo, Mariana and Cecilia at the lobby bar for making our trip great. GR Caribe is a nice resort but the room felt a little dated. Guests have access to the resort next door and we spent most of our time at Royal Solaris (pool, entertainment and food). I recommend booking Royal Solaris if it's cheaper. The food was fantastic on both sides. GR Caribe's pool is small and quiet. More action on the other side. We had free wifi but that might have been because we are VIP with Expedia. There is a charge for wifi on Royal Solaris side. The room/bed/pillows were decent. The room was clean. This is a timeshare resort and they try to set up an appointment when you arrive. Just say no. They say it's not a timeshare but it's a timeshare club. Entertainment was almost non existent on the GR Caribe side. Royal Solaris had live music in the lobby bar area. The band was only 2 people who use recorded tracks as backup. In addition, there are nightly shows in the theater. Great beach too. Hop on the bus outside for 10.5 MXN and check out Cancun. Hop on an R2 buss to get back. If you go to Market 28 it's difficult to find an R2 bus. You have to do some research or pay a local to point you in the right direction.

Nice perfect for a short trip

Posted May 15, 2017
Pros: I was comfortably and clean.
We had a very good time. The staff goes beyond to make you fell good. Jacinto, Martha and Rafel were extremely helpful. I am allergic to pork and they accommodate my needs many times. If you need anything just ask. The pizza is fabulous and the girls that work there are doing an excellent job.

GR Caribe w/ Sister Resort Royal Solaris

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: Access to the Royal Solaris. The food.
Cons: The head concierge is a jerk who pushes timeshares. He caught an attitude with me when I wouldn't book a time to hear the presentation.
Location: Close to shopping in Cancun. Hop on the bus.

Great location and service

Posted May 12, 2017
Pros: Cleanliness, service, spa, food
Cons: Later hours for bars near the pool
The entire weekend was amazing. From the food, to the hotel staff, to the beauty of the hotel, beach, and pool....I have zero complaints.

Hotel is older, there's no security like most Cancun resorts. No vegetarian food options at all. Outdoor bars close early, no entertainment by the pools. The entire place is in need of a serious upgrade for the price they charge. Would def recommend spending a little bit more to go somewhere much nicer. Very family oriented resort. Food was not very good at all. In need of more restaurants and better cooks. The staffing in the entertainment section seem to have a side hussle going on selling tickets. They are not reliable at all.

Nice Hotel On The Beach!

Posted May 7, 2017
Pros: Staff, on the beach, clean and close enough to take the bus downtown! Also, being able to use facilities to the hotel next door!
Cons: Some of the buffet food did not stay warm and or hot enough, other than that the food was great!
Location: Close enough to take bus Downtown! Best of all bus ride is only $1.00 per person each way!
We had a great time! The staff Diego, Ricky, Carlos, Freddy, Alejandro and Zoida went beyond and above to make our stay great! The food and drinks were great!

Hotel is nice but, getting old.

Posted May 7, 2017
Hotel looks nice but, rooms need some updates. Door lock sticks so check to see if it stays closed, some toilets flush slow. Overall we had a gpod time.
