Nice pool area and proximity to beachPosted Nov 29, 2015
Pros: Pool area + bar
Cons: Food quality and variety. Room cleanliness.
Pool area is well maintained and having a bar on top of pool makes a big difference. Not happy with food quality and variety. Also room cleanliness is questionable.

Great hotel! First time in a all inclusive resort.Posted Nov 27, 2015
Pros: Shows, Food and Staff
Cons: Climate control in the room. Text alerts to tell advice of events happening in the hotel such as buffet times, dress code, time changes for shows.
Location: We did the swim with Dolphins at Wet n Wild, great experience except when they want to sell you super expensive picture packages.
Everything was great! Staff, food, facilities, night shows. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was super friendly and bilingual. We traveled with 2 kids (4 & 8 years old) and they both had a blast in the pools. Beach area is also very nice.

Great time @ GRPosted Nov 25, 2015
Cons: Air condition in the lobby bar
Just an amazing staff .... I wish I could remember all their names .. From he bell boy @ check in Frank to Daniel @ the front desk . Later in the day Vernon ( food service manager ) treated us like gold . Elder and Erik @ the swim up bar were the best !! Mary and Betty the outdoor waitress made us feel like family. @ The Marco Polo Tony, made me feel like a VIP !! . I have been to the GR for the last 10 years, while the food and has slipped off pace the interior staff has not . Our BIGGEST COMPLAINT,is they need to keep the air conditioner ON in the lobby lounge . It dose not go on until after 8 pm . Stayed November 2015

It was just okay. I won't go backPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: close to the beach, nice pool area
Cons: a bit of everything..
Location: nothing was really close nearby. You need to take the bus R1 or R2 to get somewhere
The air conditioning was broken, sink in the bathroom was blocked, one side of the lights wasn't working. I requested switching the room which was a hassle to do. One of the restaurants was closed down so you don't really have many options to go. I stayed for 4 nights, it was just okay. I wouldn't go back.

Resort with exceptional service.Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Staff: Resort is managed very well with the staff doing whatever it takes to keep the guests happy. Didn't see one grumpy staff member the whole week
Cons: Some Vegan options, better quality pastries. more seafood :) . Rooms could do with better sound insulation. Free Wifi.
Location: 20 mins away from the airport by cab. The town, aqua world and malls are 20 mins by local buses. ~15 pesos by bus each way. Bus ply every 3-5 mins
We had an amazing week at the Resort with our two daughters aged 6 & 4. GR solaris is a grade higher than the adjoining “Royal Solaris” but smaller. Food: Bfast and lunch buffet with a lot of choices if you are a non vegetarian, very limited if you are a vegan. For Dinner you have a choice of 3 restaurants. One is a fine dining restaurant for which you need to book a day in advance. The other two are walkins. They have snacks all day - Fresh pizzas, wings, fries, subs, ice cream etc. Lot of pastries but not world class. Drinks: amazing cocktail bars. Kids also have about 20 non alcoholic options. Betw 4 –6 pm do try the coffee that they serve in front of the lobby bar. They Mix Kahlua and your choice of spirit, flame it to burn the alcohol and mix it with the creamer. Bottled water is free. Kids Club: This was the highlight of the trip for my daughters. Open 10 to 5.30. You can drop your kids off at the place as long as you are reachable within the resort. They have a lot of activities for kids like rock climbing, pottery, craft etc that we found it hard to pull kids out of the club to spend time with us. There were 3 teachers Ms Pao, Any & Karen who were so good with the kids that my daughters still miss them. Check-out: You are allowed to use all restaurants and facilities at the resort even after checkout free of charge. So no prob if your flight is later in the day. Pools :Of the 4, the best pool is the one with a swim-up bar that has a kids pool attached (~2 feet).
