I enjoyed my stay at GR Solaris. The staff is super friendly and they do a great job of keeping the resort clean. We had an issue with our shower drain and they came within an hour and fixed it. Food was decent but not great. Hard to get a seat at the main pool. Had to wake up extra early to get a spot on the weekend. Overall it was great and I would stay there again.

The property was beautiful inside and outside. It was clean and smelled nice. The staff were friendly. I gave it a three star because the food was not good at the restaurants we were able to get in to. We never got a chance to make reservations at Marco Polo or Zai because there was never availability even when we tried to reserve a day in advance. The food we ordered from room service was cold and we didn’t have a microwave to even heat eat it.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at GR Solaris, however, there are some improvements to be made such as; enforcing the no smoking policy in the hot tub and also enforcing the abundant level of noise that penetrates the rooms coming from the hallway at all hours of the night.

My wife sprained her ankle while we went on a tour and couldnt walk but the assistance provided within the hotel was disappointing. With the hotel's size and number of guests, they only have 2 wheelchairs in a dilapidated state. Staff were not very accommodating and we had to argue to let us borrow for a few hours without paying rental. Our tour reservation got messed up and we ended up waiting the whole day. Tours were disappointing.

Let me clarify about the use of wheelchairs, we have assistance equipment for all our guests when required, for that same reason we do not have the service of loaning assistance items. However, transfer service is provided in areas, while renting one is requested. We are very sorry that this has caused you dissatisfaction, but information is always provided with our concierges to be able to purchase any service that the guest requires. Regarding the tours, unfortunately you did not purchase any services with the hotel agency so we do not have control of the schedules of external agencies.Once again we thank you for choosing GR Solaris, we hope to be able to include them in your travel options in the future.Greetings.

I didn't like the reservation system using a QR code to book for their restaurants which never worked so we had to eat buffet for 3 days. Also I didn't like the bars not opening until 11am and closing at 11pm. Mimosas should be available for everyone at breakfast and not only for resort members.

For the money this place is fantastic. The food and drinks were just okay. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is amazing; everyone was always smiling and so nice. The entertainment staff was also excellent. Special shout out to Nina and Abraham from the entertainment team. Also to the pool waiter Angel. We are already planning to go back in a few months.

I just wanted to express my immense gratitude to Isra and all his team members at the GR Hotel. Isra, as a professional physical trainer, expertly handles the yoga classes, gym workouts, and Aqua sessions in the pool, all of which are exceptionally professional and beneficial. Alongside his team, they've created an amazing atmosphere with Zumba dance sessions and other poolside entertainment. The nightly show programs truly make each evening a special and memorable experience, catering to everyone's interests. Isra and his team are incredibly energetic, patient, helpful, and welcoming individuals who truly made our trip fantastic. Really great staff and location. Facilities were clean and the swim up bar is a wonderful convenience. The entertainment group was fantastic! Unfortunately the beds were rock hard and difficult to sleep in, and the food was very subpar. Overall great stay for the money!

*BED BUGS* in room 1335 at Royal Solaris Cancun! I stayed at the Royal Solaris from April 6-14, 2024. For the first couple days my partner and I did not notice too many bites, but towards the end of our trip I was getting more and more. I thought it may just be something in the sand at the beach or mosquitoes, but after we got home I inspected our bites more closely and was horrified to discover that these were bed bug bites. I have bites on my feet, ankles, legs, chest, hands, and lip! I am extremely uncomfortable. We will most likely need to throw out our luggage and we are currently trying to salvage our clothes by washing/drying them at the highest temperature. I reached out to the hotel to make them aware of the situation. It took them over 24hrs to respond. They do not believe that they have bed bugs, which is why I am forced to leave this review. In their email back, they said they had fumigated the room, which I highly doubt within this timeline. I am disappointed in the way this situation has been handled as my partner and I spend a decent amount of money at this resort and I feel that an apology and compensation should be provided. This does not appear to be the hotels current plan. I do feel bad for posting this, as the staff there were overall good friendly people and I don't want this to reflect poorly on them. The resort was nice and the food was okay but current and future guests need to be warned about this situation as it is a health issue.

However, we are surprised by the topic of this publication;first, because unfortunately we did not have any reports during your 8 days of stay and for the last 3 days you had a black card so our housekeeping staff could not carry out the necessary cleaning of your room. Let me inform you that the hotel has very strict cleaning standards as well as a recurring fumigation program in order to offer safety and hygiene to all our travelers, since the issue of bedbugs is a global situation. Likewise, let us remember you that Cancun is a tropical jungle destination so the fauna is diverse, so bites and/or allergies can be very common when our guests are on tours. That is why our daily cleaning standards are very strict, precisely to prevent our facilities from presenting any inconvenience.Regards!

Kudos to the hard working staff! They are respectful and helpful and so kind. The property has changed quite a bit in 7 years. A bit run down. The front desk people speak little to no English so it was difficult at times to get the point across. Overall, the food service, pool workers, bar workers and room cleaners were the most helpful. The food got to be very mundane after 7 days. But the fresh fruit was great.

Property was beautiful. Dining options weren’t the best. It was difficult to get reservations anywhere because you could only book 24 hours in advance. Staff was extremely nice and helpful!

It was great. Staff was very accommodating. I would recommend that a live band can be added on a Friday night or over the weekend. It got a bit boring on the resort with nothing to do if you didn’t want to attend a show.

I loved this resort and the service was impeccable! Bring extra cash for tipping because they deserve it. Drinks and food weren’t first class but were still very good for an all inclusive. There was a buffet style restaurant is what I enjoyed the most of the time. It was the most convenient. I didn’t try the restaurants because you have to make a reservation at least a day in advance which you have to get the QR code from downstairs. I recommend saving that to your home screen while on the resort, for quick access. There is also a stone fired pizza station outside as well as some quick bites (nachos, fries, chicken nuggets etc) by the pool). The facilities were well maintained and I was upgraded to a king ocean view room, which was amazing! The beach is literally right there as you step off the property. There is a bus station right in front of the resort which made for easy access to the city, and it’s only $1 (USD). My ONLY complaint were the room key cards. If you put it close to your phone or your credit card, the card deactivated and then you had to wait in line, if there was one, to get it reactivated. This happened to me 3 times. Where else do you put it except your bag or wallet with credit cards or your phone? Check in wasn’t too bad a little bit of a line but this is expected. I felt very safe and comfortable traveling alone as a single woman. Great stay!

The property is old, check out staff isn’t friendly, very disappointed with the check out process. We did turn in all the keys but the checkout staff made all of us had to be at the desk to get the bracelet back when my mother needs to use the restroom. They afraid that she continues using the property or what?
