Great service, food and drinks. We would definitely go back. Very nice room, paid for upgrade at checkin. Gym was wonderful but they do charge $8 to get into it though. Reservations are required for dinner but no biggie to book them after you arrive.

Pros: Pool beds and water bar.
Cons: Pool beds are flat now..they used to be relaxing now they actually hurt my back...they are flat! Rooms in Premiere building need to be updated...
Location: Location is perfect for our needs. Shopping close by

Nice Resort but not too willing to accommodate!

Posted Feb 7, 2016
Pros: Liked the pool area and bar....love the Caribbean View..
Cons: Rooms need to be updated in the Premiere Building...and when booking, requests showed be accommodated.
Location: Location works well for us..
The resort is nice enough but the rooms in the Premiere building really need to be updated...the furniture is old and awful and no private dressing room ...if someone comes in the door there you are...butt naked ready to shower....not comfortable with this...

Pros: Convenience for bus to get away from the hotel. The hotel was clean.
Cons: See above.
Location: The bus is close or you can walk.
Not enough lounge chairs. Talked to manager about it twice. He told me there were 700 people there and he had 350 lounge chairs divided among 4 properties. He said that was the correct ratio. Think about that statement. He did have someone get us two lounges. One was broken and neither had pads. Everyone you talked to was complaining about the same problem. At times there was no hot water. Their main focus is to sell time shares and tours. That's the bottom line. People who sat through their time share lectures said they were highly pressured to purchase. We had one elevator to use, as the other one was broken. They have three specialty restaurants where the ambiance was nice, but in two of them, the food is not good.

The good the the bad

Posted Feb 6, 2016
We stayed for a week in an ocean view room for 3 people. Overall pretty good experience. Starting with the positives: Great view, great rooms, clean and spacious, beach is not packed with people, good food with lots of selection, hotel staff lovely for the most part, pools are not crowded, bars have good drinks, and location is excellent. Now the bad: beds are not super comfortable, front desk staff is not very knowledgeable of the services their own hotel provides and provided us with incorrect info regarding transportation to coco bongo and therefore resulted in a lot of time wasted and too much frustration, the 3 reserved restaurants have incredibly slow service (1.5-2 hours per meal), the worst by far, is the fact that the person cleaning my room stole something from inside my toiletry bag, and when I reported it missing they magically found it in the lost and found after 5 hours of investigation. The WORST experience of the hotel is actually the onsite Expedia local expert agent, who sold us coco bongo tickets when they knew the hotel also sold them but with transportation there. Also promised a refund because of a schedule change, but told us to come the next day and then refused to give us the refund because "we never promised anything like that". Highly unprofessional and horrendous service. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely hotel.

Cons: Only bummer is people are allowed to save their chairs with towels, so sometimes you couldn't find a seat. But other than that, everything was great!
No need to upgrade- the standard rooms were great. We are 40 year olds and left the kids to go on a vaca. The restaurants were wonderful and it was fun in the evenings to dress up to go to them. The buffet was perfect for breakfast and lunch. The hotel is in a great location to walk the beach or take a $1 bus ride to the souvenir market or Aqua World for Scuba diving.

Big disappointment

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Nice hotel on the beach with nice amenities. Some might think I am picky on food but after four days / 8 lunches or dinners, I was still trying to taste one good meal. Maybe my French taste or.... Relaxing around the pool is impossible. They either play some loud music or scream in a microphone to invite guests to join them for games. If you avoid the "time share people" at your arrival, they will avoid you for the rest of your stay even for information or smiles....

Stunning beach location

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Pros: The resort was immaculate, and the a la carte restaurants were top notch. Service was excellent, and we were upgraded to the villas, giving us a room
Cons: There was not much in the way of evening entertainment compared to other resorts we have stayed in
Location: Awesome shopping malls are just a 2 minute bus ride away. We really enjoyed the excursion to the Chichen Itza ruins.
This resort was perfect for a week of pure relaxation. The beach is the finest we have ever been to, and stretches for miles. My husband and I had a blissful week here. and we highly recommend it!
