Nice hotel, but upgrades are recommended

Pros: Beach was nice and location was good. Bus stop right out front of hotel.
Cons: Floors were really slippery when it rained.
Location: Close to shopping.
Stayed 7 nights in the Royal Tower, well worth the extra money to move. The room we were given was not exactly what we wanted, so we moved again after check in to be in a more quiet and private room. Food was good and the staff were friendly. There are not enough cabanas for everyone, but we just hung on the beach under an umbrella table and were just fine. Sea turtles laying eggs on the beach were cool. Water was beautiful, but choppy due to storms in the area.

3rd visit!

Pros: All rooms are ocean view. The location is perfect...close to shopping, restaurants and night life. Friendly staff.
Location: The location is perfect! Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and night life. Or take the bus for $1
This was my 3rd visit to this hotel. Everything about this resort is top notch! I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The food, the staff and the amenities always exceeds my expectations! Jorge, the bell man is the best! I will be back next year. Keep up the good work Grand Park Royal!!!!

Great view of the beach

The 2nd room we moved to was nice and more up to date. The fine dining restaurants had a better quality of food than the buffet and reservations were easy to make. The resort needed more activities to do. The hotel was in a great location for those that wanted to leave the resort for dinner, souvenirs or whatever. The wait staff was wonderful. Everyone was friendly.

good location

Good location. Staff isn't very attentive. Room service is only once every 24hrs, not great considering you're paying for all inclusive. Food is basic.

great hotel, right on the beach

Pros: clean friendly staff right on the beach
Location: hotel is nearby downtown and you can take a bus to get to Senor Frogs and Coco bongo. and across the street there are more restaurants and a nearby ma
The hotel is on the beach and the 2 pools are great. One pool has a swim up bar, which is cool. The concierge Eric was beyond nice and knowledgeable. He made great suggestions that were right on the money. The hotel room was comfortable and we had a little patio to walk out to. The first night we had a small issue with the AC we told the front desk and they took care of it immediately. There were no more AC issues after that. The Mexican restaurant was amazing and the Italian restaurant has a rooftop bar which was awesome. The snack bar is a good place to stop for a burger and hotdog. The only bad thing that I can say is that we were asked to buy a timeshare and when we said No thank you, the representative Gustavo got mad and became a little bit of a bully. We went on vacation to relax and not to be given an attitude for saying no to spending thousands of dollars that we didn't have.

Beautiful location! White sandy beaches with clear aqua blue water! All the staff was amazing! Excellent customer service!

Highly recommend this hotel!

I traveled here with my boyfriend we are in our 20's. The staff was very friendly and nice. They were always willing to go above and beyond. Claudia at the front desk made my boyfriends birthday very memorable. It is a beautiful hotel very clean. The only thing I would have wanted improved was the food.

This resort was fantastic. The food was incredible and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would for sure recommend upgrading if you can. The room was beautiful and the view is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would recommend is more shad around the adult pool. The only shade that is available is in the Bali Beds and those are always taken very early. Yes the swim up bar has shade but it's always so packed. Sometimes you just want to be in the pool but have a little relief from the sun. Also the cobble stone is tricky to walk on if you wear heels. Also there is no texture to the area around the adult pool and watched people slip and fall every day. So take caution after a few Piña Coladas. :) Make sure you make reservations at every restaurant since they have unbelievable food. You don't want to miss out. The buffet is good but the Italian, Oriental, and Mexican\Seafood are all fantastic.
