Good for children only.

For children ONLY - locked AC in rooms so you have no control of your room comfort, horrible and very limited buffet (set up in stations, NOT a true buffet), weak drinks, hot and humid EVERYWHERE, dated decor, bartenders were rude, the grounds are not lush or tropical so there's a lot of concrete. They also try to sell you a timeshare plan (disguised as Guest Services) when you arrive. On the positive (for children), the pool is small so you can watch your kids. Check-in and check-out was fast. The bellboys were fabulous if you need help with taxis or anything else. Room service was excellent. The water park was great for the kids and it had lifeguards. However, I would NOT consider this resort unless your focus is to have a child-friendly resort. This was not a relaxing oasis by any means.

Beautiful hotel with variety of restaurants

Our vacation was great! The hotel is amazing, staff is friendly. The special thanks to Eliser and Enrique from entertainment and sport team. They went above and beyond to make our vacation fun and joyful. We were palying many sport activities as water aerobics, water polo, beach volleyball. It was fun! Thank you!

Great Hotel and location

The service and staff at this hotel was excellent and it is located on a nice beach. While the rooms need a bit updating this was not a big deal given the great food and service (so many great restaurants to choose from with no reservations in advance required), the beach and the fact that the hotel is in a great location. I need to mention Jose at Portofino and Capitan Christian, great service, great people at this hotel. I will be going back!

Family friendly but 3.0- 3.5 stars is right on

Overall I was not surprised about the hotel. You get what you paid for. The staff tried there best to help wheneyyou ask a question, but not everyone speaks English and that's ok. We're not in the US. They try to sell you on a time share, but why not finish remodeling so people would consider it ...The rooms need a lot of updating like the other reviews say. Thank goodness you're not in the room all day. My refrigerator did not work and I complained about it and it was never fixed. The restaurants were good but kinda on the salty side. You'll need to buy water from one of the stores in the hotel. The beach also had a lot of seaweed but when I went early the water barely had any. The pools were also great. My kids loved the water park area. So overall, it was a nice vacation and I new that the hotel room would be just ok but it was clean. It's a perfect place if you have kids and affordable.

Great access to beach with semi view of beach.

Pros: The friendliness of all staff, cleanliness and location convenience including having Expedia staff available to book trips...
Cons: Air conditioning please, our room was very hot!! We were very impressed with how clean everything was... keep up the great work!!
Location: I believe it is a great location and very convenient to catch shuttle buses. I appreciate the entrance guards keeping tabs on who drives in to hotel
Overall, great with minor inconveniences. Needs better air condition system and maybe an extra elevator would be great. We will recommend to friends and family and hopefully come back some time in the near future.

Too hot

The rooms were worn down, the AC was not working in the rooms, overall the entire building was super hot. I traveled with my wife and my 3 boys, on check in we have change rooms 3 times. Overall, pool was very nice, staff was very good too.

Nothing exceptional

Pros: Hotel is clean so are the grounds. Have been to Cancun over 15 times, have stayed at different hotels, this was by far not the best nor the worst.
Cons: Would definitely work on pools
Location: Did not venture out, we were wanting to lay around and soak up the sun.
Right on the beach,. which is what we wanted, however, ocean was rough, could not go snorkeling the whole 7 days we were there. They did upgrade my room, because 1st night the air conditioner in room did not work and the ceiling fan was extremely squeaky. In the process of changing rooms, I forgot my cell phone charger, an hr later I got back into room and it was gone. Complained to front desk, they were adamant nobody had been in room, well the maintenance guy was there working on a/c and the room had been cleaned.Someone had to have taken it. No compensation or apologies. They have several restaurants to choose from including grill and buffet. However, I was expecting to get my fill of seafood, NOT the case. They have several pools which is nice, but they all seem to have mold growing. YUCK! They advertise a children's area with water slides, however it is not conducive for anyone under 6, we had a 2 yr old which is the primary reason we picked this hotel. I understand it is under new management and are making upgrades. I do hope it gets better. but probably won't be going back.

nice hotel with no A/C

Pros: nice place overall, I liked the kids zone
Cons: the A/C in the whole hotel
Location: it´s really easy to go out with taxis and busses
I had a really good time in the hotel overall. The staff was amazing, great customer services. the amenities were beautiful, good for kids, youth and adults were good, shows every nigh for the whole family. the food really good, even though we used most of the time the Magnum buffet restaurant, because of the convenience with time and space for my kids. the water park for the kids is just beautiful and the playground with its staff they are really useful. There was only one big problem the A/C in the entire hotel was hot and in the room was terrible, the thermostat room didn't´t work at all and was not only my room. I spoke with several people in the hotel they had the same problem. we told to the hotel representative and they knew about it and said they were working on it

WORST HOTEL IN CANCUN.

Pros: Proximity to the beach.
Cons: Staff needs more training in Customer Relations, Renovate the lobby and UPGRADE the A/C system in the building and listen to your guests.
Location: The location is great, close to shopping mall ans other businesses.
We arrived 7/5/17 and stayed for four (4) nights, we had to change rooms fours (4) times as the A/C was not working. They promised us that we would receive robes and slippers in our rooms and none was present, not to mention that when we upgraded on 7/6/17 to a more expensive room which should have a fridge with refreshments it was empty. The lobby area is VOID of A/C, nothing works properly in this hotel. However I should say that TOMAS at the front desk is a tremendous asset to the hotel. GREAT EMPLOYEE.

Very nice hotel near the beach

Pros: The staff they were always very nice and gave me and my family good time
Cons: The rooms cleaning can be better.
Location: We had few trips and we enjoyed a lot
