Very clean,spacious room, beautiful ocean view.

Pros: Oceanfront. Nice beach front with lots of shade.
Cons: Breakfast very good. Other meals average. improve consistency in maid service in terms of replacing coffee and water daily. Many stairs.
Location: Shopping across the street. Bus service in front of hotel. Excursions available to Mayan ruins. Parasailing, wave runners on the beach.
Relaxing. Took an excursion to Chichen Itza booked through Expedia. Long day but worth it. Swam in a cenote on way back to hotel.

We stay at this hotel because of a mistake that expedia make on our reservation of park royal. The staff services were great and the room are big and clean with 3 bathroom. It was a really nice experience. The pool and the beach are nice and clean.

Enjoyable stay but need to refresh rooms- staff were very friendly- my only suggestion is fridge should have water and 2 coffee pkgs in rooms.

2017 vacation

Pros: The ocean view. The breakfast and the staff. Very hardworking.
Cons: The hotel needs to be updated with new furniture and curtains. A makeover
The hotel staff was very accommodating especially Vaciena. When we booked the room it was with a balcony with an ocean view that's not what we received, she was very apologetic and did get us a room with a balcony and ocean view. A great big shout out to her. The staff did was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself needs some updating.

Affordable room if not staying the whole time

Pros: The lunch and dinner inside the hotel restaurant is amazing. Jose non-English speaker provides amazing spa massage service who deserves more tips
Cons: The customer service could be improved, hoping them working professionally and friendly instead of working hard only looking for more tips.
Location: beach around hotel zone is great, outside recommend xel-ha and isla mujeres.
I arrived at the Hotel NYX at 11am and felt extremely tired because of long time flying without enough sleep. However, I still felt exciting about this first trip in Cancun. Unfortunately, the nice impression about this city was ruined by Vania the front desk of the hotel. I tried to ask some information regarding about upgrading an ocean-view room, Vania showed me the difference between a standard and ocean-view room, which each has a balcony with opposite view of the city. Because I knew I was not planning to stay inside the hotel a lot of time and there was no huge difference between those rooms, I kindly refused the option for upgrading an ocean-view room even though Vania tried to offer me 50% discount. I was honest to tell Vania that I would go out for tours most of the days, maybe that's the reason Vania and her supervisor Ricio felt unhappy and purposely arranged me an ugly small standard room without a balcony. I requested one room for two guests with two double beds. Unluckily, we got two different size beds which one is regular double bed and the other is single uncomfortable bed. The real room looks totally different than the photo online. I felt I must give them more tips in order to being arranging a better standard room and receiving good customer service and fast room service. By the way, Jonathan and Estella are good front desks.Finally, I was OK being treated in this unexpected way because my trip in Cancun is more rewarding than the service in the Hotel

Great stay

I stayed here for three nights with my husband under the all inclusive plan and really enjoyed it. The food was good, the staff (for the most part) friendly, the amenities wonderful. My only problem was the room we stayed in -- I requested one of the renovated rooms but was put into one of the older rooms which had an old musty smell. I would stay here again, but only if I were guaranteed one of the renovated rooms. Also, the massage folks are a little pushy. Otherwise, an altogether pleasant stay.

GREAT TIME

Rooms quite outdated but the staff are GREAT! Food was like any normal resort . The air conditioning wasn't the best anywhere in the resort

Nice hotel, great location

Pros: The staff was great particularly Johnathan the activities director and Jimmy who worked the lobby. There were many others.
Cons: Lobby area and rooms were a little dated.
Location: Had dinner every night at LaParrilla, good drinks and great food.
Nice hotel located directly on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Big patio off the room with great views. Very active pool and beach area. Free breakfast was very good and the patio restaurant had good food and reasonable prices. The staff in all areas of the hotel were outstanding.

They didn´t let me cancel due to a health problem

Cons: Professional managers willing at least to communicate with customers.
I have been in this hotel twice and I liked it and that´s why I decided to book again even though I had cheaper options with the same conditions. However, I could never go due to a last minute health problem -I had a note from the doctor- that I sent to Ms. Carvajar but it was useless. . I though the people in charged in NYX didn´t even listen and they were very closed minds and were not even willing to refund a little bit. I lost of my money so I´d recommend expedia not to offer hotels with those policies -this is one of the reasons why we book through an agency, to feel protection-. This is not a revenge but I think we should support places for quality but also if they treat us as human beings. I mean, I understand that there are certain policies but a big company such as NYX should have a plan B for an emergency like this one. It´s high season in Cancun so they could resell the room easily. I won´t ever let any of my friends or relatives to make a reservation in NYX. I travel a lot (all around the world) and this is the first time I was mistreated like that. I was very disappointed.
