Wonderful breakfast buffet. Overlooking ocean and beach on three sides. Waiters so attentive with delicious coffee. White sand beach with sparkling clean pool. No ice machine. Ice at bar for small price.very comfortable beds. So so AC. Cant leave doo open at night when noise at pool or bar.

The hotel was ok overall. Arrived about 3 hrs early and wasn't able to do early check in ...they made us wait until 3pm. Pool is not so big but nice...the beach was full of seaweed and looked real dirty. The room was ok as well but had a moist feeling on the floor..which made it slippery..the room felt muggy.

The building is too old. There is no elevator. I had to go up the narrow stairs to the third floor. The room smelled badly. I had to exchange the room. The room I had changed was on the first floor but I could not sleep because I heard a lot of machine noise. It was booked at a low price in Expedia and I could not change it to a good location. I think this place should never be booked at a low price. This trip was very ruined.

I book this hotel through Expedia and I waited for about 35 min at front desk because they couldn't find my reservation. They told me that I could stay but I had to leave about $50.00 for ''deposit'' It was raining that day and water got in the room even though the window was closed.

This hotel is terrible. The bed was so hard that my wife was having lots of back the next morning. The food was cold and tasteless and the alcohol didn’t have any liquor in it. There was lots of disturbing noise and banging going on all the time. The staff were very friendly however this place is for the locals and not tourists. We ended up checking out after 1 day and booked somewhere else immediately!

A rundown shack
Looked decent online but in person a hole in the wall. Food not great they reuse the same stuff from last-night. Service was not good you have to flag them down for a drink. Margaritas were the only thing that was good. and its closed to the boats and jet ski where you can easily take advantage of water activities. I will not stay here again.

Advantages and disadvantages!
The hotel was a good hotel for the price! It's in need of remodeling/renovations because it's very old but the rooms were spacious and clean! The staff were very accommodating and friendly! However, the security was rude and accused me of smoking on the property and I do not smoke. I also noticed a few items missing from me and my guest's suitcases and I know it had to be house-keeping so beware of leaving valuables in the rooms! The staff needs to be bi-lingual so they can understand customers that speak English. The food was good and the pool was beautiful! The beach was nice and relaxing but parts of the water seemed to be polluted so take caution when swimming in the ocean on this side of the hotel zone. You would have to take the bus to get to downtown Cancun and other places to have fun and party because this hotel is reserved and quiet. Overall it was an ok hotel if you are on a budget!

I did not like the staff from from desk and all the vendors they have in this hotel. The lady in the front desk is not polite or well educated to deal with tourist. The vendors they have there they are very aggressive and not good ethical.

Worst Hotel Ever!
Staff at entrance Check in was very rude, room was dirty and had a terrible smell. We paid 4 nights at this hotel but we had to leave at the 2nd day, my family and i coulnt stay more time at this place. Im my opinion this Hotel doesnt even deserve to show up on the Cancun All inclusive hotel alternatives. Place was bad, will NEVER return, i wouldnt recommend this place to no one. Run Run Awaaaay!

The food is ok, the rooms are outdated and not comfortable but they have a nice view. We are not picky people and didn't expect a 5 star resort so we enjoyed our stay. The staff is amazing and do their best to make your stay memorable

On the beach but needs lots of work
Stayed at this hotel with my fiancé and parents. The pictures of the property are definitely not the reality of the hotel. The property needs a lot of maintenance. Pictures look OK, but when you get there, surprise!!! Lobby staff was very friendly, but restaurant staff was not. They would never come to our table to talk to us. Just strange. The food is terrible and I'm not exaggerating. We bought all inclusive and ended up eating out every day. No coffee for breakfast. All juices tasted awkward. Just bad quality food, really bad. Cigarette butts all over pool deck and on the beach area too. Very basic rooms with hard mattresses. No quilts, just two thin bed sheets. We weren't looking for luxury at all, but we could clearly see a place being mismanaged. We've stayed in simple hotels before and experienced nice simple rooms, upkept rooms, and most importantly, good food. You won't even get what you pay for at this property. You'll not eat there, trust me on this. Good luck and hopefully the hotel could improve some of these things.

Great service
It's a little hotel and they are trying to revamp it. The service is great everybody works hard to make your stay really cormfortable. It's close to the beach in Kukulcan hotel zone. Close to Cocobongo. It's cheaper than any other hotel and the food y drinks are good enough.

I stay there because my friends booking a vacation combo, the staff was ok the room too but the front beach was the bad part from all the ocean the food was like a garbage, the coffe like dirty water, and the coke and beer like water whit colors anyway, I now is cheap and close for everything but the hotel can to be better if change some price from the all inclusive and have better options whit the foot and drink, but for the price was ok, bit I never stay there again

This hotel has a nice calm beach and good location but that is about all it has going for it. The place is run down. Only locals and South Americans stay here because of its low price. The rooms are clean but very dated. Do not expect luxury or a place to party. Also do not do the all inclusive, the food is terrible in every way; it is not good Mexican cuisine. For dinner all you get is pasta, fish, rice, salad and bread. For breakfast it is eggs and bread. Snack consists of geased up burgers and fries, that's it. Food area is this old and dirty hut that lies over the water. As far as the bar, expect very watered down drinks. The place is poorly staffed, the bartender will be gone for 20 min at a time to help others. All of the workers wear old uniforms and look sad. Everyone is very disorganized. Honestly I feel bad for them. If you are looking for a cheap place on the water to spend a night, that's fine. But otherwise don't spend more than a day or two here and do not get all inclusive. I consider my self to be a bargain hunter and open to lower end hotels but this is not one that I would suggest.

Wonderful Cancun at the Imperial Las Perlas
The hotel had a nice pool - pleasant bar and a restaurant on site to boot - all were enjoyed by me. The food was nothing special - especially in comparison to the places I ate at off site - the bar drinks were okay. But, the place has it all in that sense - the Gulf was beautiful and my ocean front balcony was wonderful. The service was excellent. Parking on site and protected was available and because I drove that was a definite positive and there was a store on site - a lot of positives you're saying - and there were. Only a couple of negatives - big to me.........no internet in the room and the signal was very weak at the pool........and lastly, the bed was horrible - like sleeping on a board........and the bathroom was very tight for a six foot 180 pound man - not good. Overall.........if the circumstances present themselves as they did on this occasion, I would stay here again...........maybe the internet service will get an upgrade and maybe they will read this review and upgrade those mattresses - thanks for a pleasant stay overall.

Wonderful staff
We stayed from Jan 28/17 for 8 days. We were initially given a very small room but Jesus helped us in getting a fantastic room the very next day. It was very large & ocean view. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Front desk staff were all great, always smiling & fun to be around as well as all the bar staff. I wish I could remember their names but the older gentleman in the bar ( he had his birthday the day after we left) was my very favorite as well as the young man who made the burgers at the bar. We had one restaurant server who always looked after us & who had just the greatest personality, constantly teasing & visiting with us. Just loved him. The food was good especially getting fresh omelettes for breakfasts made by the wonderful cooks. The beach was small which was not an issue but there were a lot of weeds. A very short walk away was Las Perlas beach which was much better. We enjoyed our stay mainly thanks to all the wonderful staff & the huge ocean view room.

I stayed here 10 nites. The check in was very quick and easy. The room was comfortable top floor overlooking the ocean, beach, and restaurant. Great view. The food here was good the bar and drinks very good. The bartenders were great. The staff was always there if u needed them. Fun place people I meet some had stayed there for over a month, and come there for years. Thanks Doug (UT)

So here's the story: This is a good hotel for locals. Not much english is spoken and there are much better values elsewhere around the area. We went because we wanted a hotel on the water. This hotel is on the water, however the amenities are less than desired for the price. The room is old and rundown. There are other reviews about the hot water, and they are true. First night we needed wait forever for the water to get luke warm, it never got hot. Second day it got hotter, not sure how that works. The bed was awful. It was like a box spring on a wood platform. The musty smell was a bit off putting. Just not a value hotel. We did not eat at the hotel, but we had a few beers at the "bar" area. It was cheap however I felt like I was in a local bar not a hotel or resort. The staff was a nice as they could be, just nothing they could do about the quality of the venue.

Great location and good value
We love the hotel and the friendly people there. Yes, it is an old hotel with basic amenities, but the hard working staff do their best to make it right. Unbeatable price for on ocean view room right on the beach. The selection of food and drinks is limited but they are delicious and you always could find something to your taste. Convenience store just next door and a public bus stop in front of the hotel. 30 minutes walk to downtown along a nice trail. There were mostly Mexican families staying in the hotel -friendly, open and smiley people, we really enjoyed the opportunity to get a closer look to their culture. We will definitely be back!

DO NOT STAY HERE!
When our flight was delayed by fourteen hours, I called Orbitz and asked them to call the hotel to retain our room. I stayed on the phone, and the Orbitz agent confirmed, "not to worry, they are going to retain your room." When we arrived at the hotel, after nearly 25 hours of straight travel, the receptionist told me "the room is gone." They put us in dark, dirty and dank cell room, telling us that our room would be ready in eight hours time. I explained that we had not slept the previous night, were exhausted and dirty. We wanted to unpack, shower, and relax before heading out for the day to enjoy Cancun as we had already missed a large part of our trip due to the airline delays. The manager then, begrudgingly, gave us a room, with a balcony and we were able to enjoy beautiful Cancun for the rest of our stay.

Pros: enjoyed the simplicity and very friendly environment. Very friendly staff and diverse guests makes for a pleasant and unique experience. Facilities where clean safe and sufficient. Cones: facilities are very simple; below standards for American standards, but clean and, at the end comfortable. Conclusion: if looking for a simple and very comfortable beach and pass time, this is a place. No crowds so you get to know the staff and guests. I would do it again.

Just like I remember
I stayed here on my honeymoon 26 years ago and havent been back to cancun since. Many things have changed for the worse here. Traffic, noise, overdevelopment and a cancun downtown that is worse for the wear. The main hotel zone is just chaotic in places . But the beach areas are some of the best anywhere. Yet this comfortable, somewhat old school hotel is just as I remember it.Laid back with a real mexico feel. If you cannot handle the fact that some of the desk staff are not fluent in english do not go here.Yet they are some of the most helpful and friendly group anywhere. There was a young man who was fluent in english. A smiley, friendly young lady who was just gracious and sweet. No complaints at all in this area. There are others who know a good amount of english and will do their best to help you. The rooms were clean but somewhat older. An excellent roomy shower and many beach views. A small beach that is not that great for swimming but you can walk down as far as you want. It is close to the end of the hotel zone so it is a ways from the main hotel area. But that makes it quieter and buses are cheap and run 24 hours. It was perfect for me and my girlfriend and very affordable. We reccomend.

I'm not sure why the staff would insist on playing loud music onto the beach all afternoon. It was all families and older couples. All of us just looking for some peace and relaxation. Then one afternoon an incredibly loud woman with 'animacion' printed across her back was yapping and yapping at eveyone trying to get some people to play some game. After literally 10-15 minutes of that, she finally managed to embarrass a few women into playing. Try to read your audience - you are NOT a party resort. This is NOT spring break. We were all just trying to sit there on the worst beach in Cancun to relax.

Family friendly hotel. Clean. On the beach. I don't really recommend the all-inclusive as the buffet can sometimes be a bit repetitive and I believe they use the leftovers from one night the next and just tweak whatever it was a little ... good food but you can catch the bus downtown or to the "party zone" and eat cheap also. I like this location because it's a lot quieter than the hotels in the "hotel/party" zone, the rooms are clean, the pool area is nice and the beach is raked every morning to clear it of seaweed etc. Not a lot of amenities though so if you're looking for a resort/spa hotel this isn't the place for you. But nice, inexpensive place to stay - I travel to Cancun fairly often and like this location.
