Nice hotel for families

Posted Apr 27, 2017
We had a fast check in with a very welcoming staff. The pool is nice but small. There was another pool area but was closed all our stay. The room was espacious with a nice view to the sea but had ants next to the minibar and coffee machine. They had no way of taking care of them and did not get a room change because the hotel was full. The specialty restaurants are very expensive, but the buffet restaurant is worth it.

Beautiful view of beach

Posted Apr 23, 2017
This was our second time here & it was disappointing. Reviews said hotel was remodeled but I didn't see anything but a new pool. The main pool with swim up bar closed because they are building another tower. We had to call for towels everyday! They left one of each for three people. They never took or cleaned a dirty glass/cup. The rooms need updating. The two chairs aren't comfortable so you are sitting in your beds. The shower had horrible pressure & everything you put on shower shelves slid off because it was built on a slant! Not very practical. And why are there no vents? Bathroom was always moist & damp. On some days the room wasnt clean before 4pm. Spring break was over - the hotel wasn't even crowded! The best staff was at the pool! Alejo & Hervick were the BEST!!!!!!!!! Attentive, friendly & accomidating! The sun beds were great idea (we rented one) however no one reads the SMALL sigh that is posted regarding the rental of them! Your pool staff spent half their day tracking down people that just dropped their stuff off & left. You need to have something ON THE BEDS stating they are rentals. No one pays attention to those signs posted - I watched it happen all week! Luis the bell hop also helpful & friendly! We made the best of it however I'm not sure we would stay here again.

Close to beaches, bars, restaurants & shops

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Pros: Lovely view of beach from room. Fresh sheets on the bed & clean towels daily. Coffee & tea making facilities. Free water daily. Plenty of activities.
Cons: The all inclusive is very expensive - I eat very little! Heating the pool. A wider selection of meals in The Grill as it was quite limited.
Location: North tip of Punta Cancun where sea calmest. Museum & El Rey Mayan ruins 10 km away. Supermarket & Designer Shopping Malls close. Nightclubs & bars.
Staff very friendly and welcoming - loads of them! Huge beds! Didn't know the normal swimming pool was out of action because of building work nearby, but sea was calm & good for swimming. Plenty of sunbeds & beach towels for guests to use. Windy. The 15 mile stretch of beach is really beautiful & from our balcony on 3rd floor we had a good view of the whole bay. However, it's difficult to access the beach anywhere else other than your own hotel & only about 2 public access points. Although the beaches are supposed to be public access you can't get onto many, as the big hotels prevent you. We visited some Mayan ruins just off the highway, the El Rey ruins, which were well worth the visit as quiet, although it wasn't easy to spot the signs to the local museum which was on the other side of the highway. All are free on Sundays. We hired a car & drove to Tulum to view the Mayan ruins & discovered a public access beach, Puerto Morelos, just before Playa del Carmen, with no high rise hotels. This beach had a laid-back family-friendly feel to it unlike the manicured beaches of Punta Cancun. We were stopped by a crooked traffic cop near Cancun, who took $60 cash off us for something we didn't think we'd done & quickly pocketed the cash! Plenty of expensive shops & a good large supermarket nearby - lovely mangoes & cakes! Local restaurants were mediocre & I didn't rate the food finding that The Grill at our hotel was cheaper & tastier. Very noisy bars day & night! Needed earplugs!

Expedia failed to come through.

Posted Apr 15, 2017
Pros: The hotel and staff were great, it was very clean.
Expedia gives you an option on the website to choose ocean view room. You are charged extra for this. No where on the paperwork does it say this. The paperwork they send says deluxe room. The hotel then says ocean view is based on availability. If we had anything that said ocean view the hotel would have refunded us our money as they didn't have a room available. The hotel was very accommodating. Also the hotel was under construction and main pool/pool bar was closed. Expedia did not mention this or give a discount. They thought it would be ok to tell you to go use another hotels pool. Very inconvenient.

2nd 2 week stay, same great impression

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Myself I had the Altitude package and a room with a sea view, with just continental breakfast and hours d'ouvre from 5 to 7 pm included. I was very happy with what I got for the money I paid. I saw a lot of beaches around Cancun and Playa del Carmen and theirs I loved the most, for the price range they offer, not comparing to some ultra deluxe resorts. The prices of extra food and drinks on the site are not exagerated at all, really decent. Go here, you'll love it!

Nice beach view hotel

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Loved everything about it !
Cons: There was a bit of construction outside so it was a bit messy but besides that everything was fine
Location: Location is amazing. This hotel is located at the end of the hotel zone. Short distant walk to the restaurants bars clubs anywhere downtown .
My friend and I decided to go to Cancun for a few days to vacation. We actually did not interact with the staff much just during check in and check out. The room was beautiful it was beach view it was very clean thanks to our daily room service. had a really good time I would definitely recommend this hotel

Nice Hotel with Beach Access

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Hearing the ocean waves at night, made for a relaxing evening. The beach access was great also. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Spring Break

Posted Apr 8, 2017
Pros: great view from the balcony Bali beds and the infinity pool Secluded, privets beach Lots of available shade Friendly staff
We booked our spring break vacation with Expedia in a package deal with flights and our stay at Krystal Grand Punta Cancun and little did we know what an amazing deal we had gotten. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. We booked a king sized bed room, and it was spacious, clean, and had a balcony. We didn't choose the all inclusive option, but the hotel restaurants were delicious and convenient. Overall, if we could give our experience a higher rate than five stars, we would!!

Catfish Hotel

Posted Apr 5, 2017
This hotel is such a disappointment! My friends and I were sold based on the hotel grade. We are in our 30's, had chosen the Altitude package, only to realize this is a college kids Spring Break grade facility. -Starting with the room keys, they refused to provide each of us a key but only one, though I told the man we each were going our own way. -Safety: do not bring your kids. The balcony glass is not sturdy. It gave a sick feeling like it was going to be displaced at any moment. Not a good feeling for the 12th floor. -Forget about resting peacefully after a long day on the beach or an excursion because there will be people screaming/shouting in the hallways in the middle of the night. -The towels were hard & starchy! Two of us broke out from using them. - The main restaurant in the lobby doesn't offer much variety. And the employees looked so stressed that it made us uncomfortable. There was only one friendly waiter. - We checked out at 4 am. Guess who had to carry our luggages to the vehicle? Us! I almost broke a finger trying to fix my luggage on the trunk. - We didn't even get a "Thank You" for staying at the hotel at Check Out. - They put a bracelet in your arm & threatened to charge $50 if you lose it. Uh, a "4 start" hotel with this ghetto policy? I don't think so! Again, this resort is perfect if you're a teen or college kid who's looking to party. But if you're a grown hard working adult looking to escape for a few days, avoid this hotel by all means!

Good and Bad

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Good Beatiful beach! Overall Nice hotel, clean and well mantained facilities. Great location, restaurants, food store, and clubs and COCOBOMGO just near by. Bad Hospital food and very expensive! Do not eat here. Their all inclusive option is a joke. No a familimy friendly place, their kid club is always closed. This place is under CONSTRUCTION! You could wake up in the morning with no other view, just the construction site and the construction workers! We have to wait 3 days for them to move us to another room away from the construction. NOISE! The hotel industrial air condition coolling towers could be just under your window. No activities or shows. Good place for meditation! You will always have some body from the hotel triying to 'serve' or asking you to order something. For intance, their water down pina colada which they serve in a small plastic cup cost 7 us dollars.
