Believe all the reviews that say that this resort is VERY quiet and chill. I thought for sure it would depend on the people, which I still believe, but overall this resort attracts very chill, relax-only and a somewhat older crowd (55 ). I was thrown off given the architecture of the place (reminiscent of Miami) and that it seems like it could be really cool. I’m used to much more staff interaction trying to create a fun environment for the guests. I not even a partier, but it was a little too quiet even for me. There are only a couple of activities at the pool - water aerobics and bingo. The “party pool” just has different, louder music but has a lame vibe since it’s so small and tucked away. Egos bar is supposed to be their late-night bar, but it was always dead too. The architecture, pictures you see online and the real-life vibe just don’t match. I would much rather stay at a Secrets, if I’m looking for high-quality spot. The food was good and I liked the vibe of the restaurants but still not as good as I’ve had at other high-end, all-inclusive resorts. I am dairy and gluten-free though and there was always something for me to eat. The Hidden Garden and MB are the best spots, by far. The pool food during the day - BBQ and Burgers being the best. Overall, it was fine and relaxing but a bit boring for what I like in a resort. The view and grounds are beautiful, but I feel like that is a given in the Cancún area.

As soon as we got to the property they tried to get us to do a timeshare meeting but said that it was for coupons for the 25th anniversary of being open. The air did not work and was also a leak in the room that was big enough for us to be gone for 3 hours and when I went back to the room and towards the bathroom I ended up slipping on the ground because I didn’t know there was a leak at the time. The staff didn’t seem to care after we told them we weren’t interested in the time share. It took us going to the front desk 3 times for them to finally do something with the room. The beds with umbrellas and the chairs were supposed to be free as it said on their sign by the pool but we were told we couldn’t use the beds with the umbrellas that it was 75$ a day. The staff didn’t check on us often and would take 30-45 minutes to get our drinks once we did order. We had an awful first experience with this resort, and I don’t think we will be returning.

Second time staying here and look forward to coming again. The service is amazing, food is delicious, room Service is fast. They have 5 pools so there is plenty of cabanas (at an extra charge) and lounge chairs at no cost.

Nice location close to dining and shopping. Plenty of food options in the premises. Beach is clean and well maintained. Pools are at the right temperature and service is impeccable. Spa is modern and very relaxing. The only black dot was the AC. It never reached desired temperature. Had to request a fan to sleep without sweating

You are treated like royalty at this resort. They wait on you hand over fist and the staff do every to make your stay enjoyable. The food was great the entertainment was superb and the beach was to die for. We’re coming back

I liked the property very much, it’s excellent. I didn’t like, that the resort don’t help you when you have an emergency to buy medicines, and you don't have pesos, they don't help you exchange national currency, I think that should change.

ALL of the staff ... every single person there was amazing! No kids, food, the room was so comfortable, the fun Bingo games (Miguel, Swavey and others were so good). and the live dinner entertainment was outstanding!! The chef Raul and assistant Harley prepared a special dinner for our friend's birthday. IT WAS AWESOME! I could have bathed in the Blue Cheese soup. This has just become our new favorite vacation spot and we WILL be back :)

Aqua live was such a beautiful property that me and wife enjoyed so much. The staff was so nice and friendly with us everyday. We love the food there And Starbucks they had inside the hotel. Also the hotel was very clean. Great location for ocean front view. I will visit again in July this year.

Live Aqua has the most attentive and friendly staff that I I have ever experienced. They seem to genuinely like their work, and it is clear that customer service is their #1 priority. There were several dining options and very good food overall. Our butlers Stephany and Alan made our trip so easy and relaxing. Definitely worth the upgrade!

Not sure where to start but since the moment we walking in and where welcomed by Ivan to our cabana waiter Ale honestly we’ve been coming to Cancun for over 30 years have been to over 20 resorts in Cancun and Rivera maya but not 1 has ever impressed us like Live Aqua from there service to there food to how clean the property is to being right across the street from so much fun there is nothing to complain about at live aqua the guest is always 1st

We loved this property from arrival to check out. The staff was amazing well groomed, uniforms clean, friendly demeanor and very easy communicate with. The food was fabulous at the restaurant we visited. They wait on you hand and foot. The location is right across from the luxury mall. The staff was quick to action on presentation of the resort. We never saw trash anywhere. They cleaned the pools daily and chefs would line up with treats for the guest during the pool games. The staff addressed you by your name when they saw you walking around . They make you feel like you are not a guest but part of the family. This place is a must STAY.

This is our 3rd time staying at this resort. The pools, ocean view and beach are amazing at this resort. The food quality is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained and is within walking distance of a great outdoor shopping mall across the street (La Isla). The only negative would be that the cocktail drinks are a bit weak on the alcohol. We highly recommend this resort to anyone that wants to stay in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

This was such a great experience. All of the staff is dedicated to you having a great time. HIGHLY recommend upgrading to the aqua club level. You get a bar and food on your level which is super convenient. Only draw back is there are no smart TVs in the rooms so bring a fire stick or something if you want to watch movies and just chill in your room sometimes. Also the flags on the beach were red the whole time so you’re not supposed to swim with that and I asked someone about it and they said their flags are always red or yellow (swim with extreme caution) because the current and waves are so strong it’s dangerous. So we didn’t get much beach time. But honestly I went for my 30th birthday. Everyone made me feel special. We had butlers Maggie and Roberto and they’re incredible. Everyone’s so nice. We definitely want to visit again.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff. The beach is perfection, the pools are fabulous. We had Aqua Club level and having a butler was the way to go. The rooms are well appointed and great bath products. Highly recommend.

Had a horrible check in experience; very rude staff worker, didn’t smile once or offer us anything at all while checking in. As an VIP Expedia resort I received less than what my non-vip Expedia friends who were on the trip received. Any other resort I have been to when we say we r have checked into started us off with drinks and amazing customer service (yes it’s all inclusive but you want to walk into a vacation and start it right. Overall the property was beautiful: food and drinks were delicious. Not much entertainment other than the 1 hour water bingo and water exercise. Would have been nice to have music and some fun around the pool. It is more or a relaxing resort. Beach was amazing and you can do jet skiing right from your resort which was a plus. If not for horrible check in would have rated the resort a 5 star for the food, drinks and relaxing portion. One more downside is they basically have the set up in a way that you have to rent a cabana daily at 80 dollar due to limited chairs or if you want shade which seemed unfair.

It was Good, but not excellent. As adults only I expected more activities and interaction with all guests. Bingo and trivia feels like community55 . It was boring … We stayed at other sister property, even it was a family resort, but was much more fun even for adults ( dj on the beach , live music, dancing shows activities) . This property is nice if you seeking for quiet time.

Staff are amazing and work hard to make everything amazing. My negative, please dont approach me at check in and I am tired, about the travel club. I am a new widow, traveling solo. No way i need this kind of pressure put on me. It set e up to not fully enjoy my time. Yes, i am a woman alone but I am not invisible. A couple male servers treated me like i was barely there.

Beautiful property. The layout is a bit confusing but once you figure it out, it nice. The butler staff needs to work on communication. They were doing things we didn’t ask for and wouldn’t update us on things that changed during the day. Really disheartening to only see/hear from them once a day. Our room AC didn’t get cold. Kept the room cool but not to a desired temp. We were offered a fan. With the exception of breakfast the food was not great either. Room service was better than most restaurants. None of the activities went as planned and it seemed as if the staff was uniformed too. Many things we wanted to do either didn’t happen or happened at a different time than what was on the schedule. Overall a disappointing stay compared to some of the other places we stayed. Also, if you give a score less than 10 on any review they will follow you around your entire stay.

Live Aqua is conveniently located in the hotel zone, right across from a mall. The pools and beach were lovely. Great dining options lots of variety. The staff is wonderful. Super relaxing stay.

Getting a seat at the pool is very difficult. Everyone gets up and puts a towel on the seats at 7am. So it’s a huge problem. You are forced to pay for a cabana if you want to sit at the beach or pool..and there is a 20-min line to get one in the blazing sun. Please fix this!!! Everyone should have a seat that pays for a room!
