Great Stay

Posted Jul 23, 2016
From the moment you walk in hotel you feel like you are truly on vacation. They do an amazing job relaxing you via sight, smell and greetings. The first impression was the best and cares over to the rest of the stay. This would be about my 10th time to Cancun and always wanted to stay at Live Aqua. I got my wish this time and it will be hard to stay anywhere else. The food is great. Tried all restaurants (for the exception of the steak and lobster place) and was never disappointed. The drinks are premium and like the I mentioned the food is vey high quality(can't stress that enough). I will final say dont bother paying higher prices on other all inclusiveness or go for the cheap deals at a less rated hotel. If you can afford it you won't regret it.

The whole experience was great 4th time at the same resort, only one small issue this hotel is all adult and during my stay there was a kid I say maybe 14 yrs old drinking alcohol he should not have been allowed to be in the resort period, I will go again but if I see a kid again i will defiantly won't go back for sure. ADULTS ONLY

A fantastic hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2016
Pros: Food, drink, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere
Cons: The timeshare stuff, it really is beneath a hotel of this caliber. If people are interested, they can find you. Stop acting like used car salesman
I read hundreds of reviews so I want to make sure to give back to others who obsessively read reviews like me. This hotel is unbelievable. The food was amazing! Definitely not the way we usually eat, more like never ending tapas, but the food and the presentation were outstanding. We enjoyed it because the servings were so small that you could enjoy a 4 or 5 course meal without walking away uncomfortably full. The service was almost always outstanding. A few things that could have been a bit better: * breakfast service at Siete was not always the best. The people that worked there were a little loud and would talk over the customers in Spanish. This was the ONLY service we had anywhere that was not topnotch but it was a little annoying first thing in the morning. * the time share stuff is annoying. The "Conciege" desk is really the timeshare desk. We had a very aggressive woman come introduce herself as our "personal conceive". There were 6 of us and all of our icky meters went up immediately. The first day we just wanted to go to the beach and she kept talking. I did NOT appreciate the manipulation. We got rid of her by day 3 but were approached by several other "concierges" over the rest of the trip. Every guest we spoke to had similar experiences. Besides these few things, it really was amazing. We were upgraded to an Aqua Suite because the room we reserved wasn't available when we arrived. It was just spectacular!

Excellent hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2016
Pros: The calming feeling that was everywhere you went. The grounds are beautiful. The pools are visually lovely. They rake the beach and keep it very clean
Cons: They need more entertainment in the evening. It was minimal. Competing hotels do have more entertainment at night.
Location: There is an excellent mall opposite the hotel if you want to stroll. It has a marina and an aquarium.
This was our second visit to Live Aqua. It was as beautiful as we remembered. The staff were just wonderful wherever you were on the resort. The food was a very high standard in all the restaurants for an all inclusive.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful comments regarding your stay and most of all, for your loyalty. I am happy to read that your overall experience was enjoyable and I sincerely appreciate your feedback. Even though we do have Sopranos by the pool, synchronized swimmers, live music and casino nights, our concept focuses on relaxation and tranquility, as we are a Spa Resort. For this reason, if our guests desire Cancun's nightlife our entertainment staff sells tickets to the best Night Clubs in the city. I sincerely hope to have the chance of being your hosts once again in the future, Alfredo Santamaria General Manager

Amazing food and staff! Need to work on activities

Posted Jul 11, 2016
Pros: Food
Cons: please hire an entertainment staff to get the resort more lively
Location: definitely do the extreme adventures tour, it includes ziplining, atvs and visiting a beautiful sinkhole. It was so much fun
Some repairs were being done on the hotel when my friends and I arrived there and there was a huge ladder in the reception area...this took away from the beauty of the reception area but thankfully the ladder was gone the next day. The food was amazing. You have endless options to choose from and every restaurant was amazing. The Italian and MB were my favorites. The drinks were great. Make sure you talk to Kevin who serves drinks by the pool. You tell him what you are in the mood for and he will bring you back a variety of amazing drinks. Staff in general was amazing..be sure to tip them generously because they do work hard. I was a bit disappointed that we got there early in the morning and did not get checked in til 3PM since most resorts usually try to check you in upon arrival but it was fine we since we ate and drank while we waited. Room service food was great as well, definitely be sure to try it. The only big critique I have was that the resort has no poolside activities. I have visited tons of resorts and they always have an entertainment staff that organizes activities throughout the day by the pool and they did not have any here. They also do not have any night time activities and only one bar stays open until 1:30AM and they get a dj there two times a week. Resort would be perfection if they could incorporate fun activities on the property throughout the day.

Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your recent stay. Even though I am happy to read that we managed to provide an excellent overall stay, I must clarify that the concept of the Resort is a Spa and therefore our activities are focused on our guests relaxation and tranquility. I apologize if this gave you an unfavorable impression of our Resort, we will create strategies to communicate more effectively the activities offered outside the Resort for our guests that are looking for nightlife. Your feedback is most appreciated as it help us pinpoint the areas where our attention is needed in order to achieve our guests complete satisfaction. Hopefully we will have the chance to see you again soon, Alfredo Santamaria General Manager

Absolutely beautiful

Posted Jul 6, 2016
My parents and I stayed in this hotel for 4 memorable nights. We enjoyed the most peaceful environment with such friendly staff. Valleri, one of the managers, was very nice. Food is also good. My parents loved the buffet. Room was clean and nice. They room service was on time. Staff were friendly.Loved the candles in lobby at night. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel on the beach

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Hotel: The hotel was absolutely beautiful, from the lobby, to the pools, to the rooms. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pools were nice, however the water was always warm. Usually it was not a problem finding shade if you didn't go down midday (1-2 pm). Staff: The staff provided excellent service. They were always smiling and happy to help. Food: Food was just okay, we were not impressed. We did the buffet for breakfast which had nice options. The food at the pool was good, however the drinks were watered down. Room service meals and service were excellent. Entertainment: This is lacking in this resort. We were a couple who turned 26 during our stay who were looking for some livelihood. The hotel had quiet bars and lounges which sometimes played upbeat music. There really wasn't much to do except visit the shopping center across the street. Location: We loved the location of the hotel. It was close to two of the shopping centers and not too far from the nightlife area, and of course right on the beautiful beach. Tip: Watch out for the guy who sells Coco Bongo tickets at the resort. We bought a "booth" from him and when we got to the club we had to argue our way to get our table (they tried to leave us standing or share with others). Recap: beautiful resort, okay meals, excellent service. We traveled in July, it was extremely hot and the ocean waves were dangerous to swim. I recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing time.

Nice Resort but it is a Time Share too

Posted Jul 3, 2016
Pros: Beach is clean with very little seaweed. Pools are clean. Resort staff very friendly and kind. Rooms very clean.
Cons: Resort should advertise that it is a RELAXATION SPA atmosphere with no nightlife on property and that it is affiliated with a Vacation Club timeshare.
Location: Location is great. Mall across the street. Bus stop past The Westin for approx. 15 min. ride up to Señor Frogs, Coco Bongo, Hard Rock, etc.
When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by a gentleman who I thought was our butler. He talked us into going to a meeting that is 90 min. by giving us a coupon for free spa treatments and going to breakfast. Little did I know this resort is also American Fiesta Resort Vacation Club headquarters. Th next morning it was actually a salesman we met with one on one. I was uncomfortable for I felt like I was manipulated into going to this meeting where they encourage you to buy into their "vacation club" which is a mortgage for FORTY years… and they don't come out and say it. My husband figured it out for salesman kept dividing everything by 40. So if you want your free spa treatment or free day trip go for it but BEWARE!!! They don't like to hear NO as an answer. Also, there is NO nightlife. All of the All-Inclusives we stayed at before had nightlife in the price we paid for resort. There is however a nice shopping market and mall across the street, 5 min. walk. You can also catch the bus for $1 US per person at bus stop just past the Westin which is next door to Live Aqua. Just make sure you ask and let bus driver know where you are going. We went to Señor Frogs and had a blast! However very $$$. Once again, nightlife should be included with resort.
