This Marriott has an old world charm. Could us some updating but overall great. The hotel is more laid back then the other hotels with the all inclusive packages which is what I prefer. Mass produced processed food is not good for me. Here we had each dish made to order and the food was great and reasonably priced. No night life but close to everything you need to be entertained. Excellent gym with new and well maintenced equipment. I also had a good Blended massage. Would go back.

Pros: The Pool is OK. Food at the Poolside cafe was great. Try the Mikado Hibachi restaurant. Amazing. Great view from the Ocean front rooms.
Cons: Please start from the front desk employees including the supervisors.
Location: Great location. Lots of activities within the areas. My family enjoyed Parasailing, Chichen Itza tour, Fine dining, SubSea tour, Isla Mujeres tour.
The hotel is mostly clean. Needs a lot of improvements. The front desk crews are not helpful at all. They are unprofessional and rude. Absolutely no smiles. There was a violation posted by the Mexican authority on the main desk (8/24/2015), written in Spanish says, "Suspension". When I asked what is that for; no one explained. But the Doorman, Bellhop, Concierge, Poolside employees are ok. Marriott probably does not care, but they should. For me, there will be no second time at Marriott Casamagna. Rooms need major renovation. To my understanding, they dislike Expedia guests; I don't know why.

Overall, it is a nice hotel, wonderful breakfast, since I book stay only, do not the restaurant. We book a garden view room, my husband said the sound of air condition seems the water fall, too noise. But the staff is very nice.

Made for the kids. Staff the best in Cancun. Happy place. Very clean. Everyone is well trained. Have excellent long term rate /2 weeks plus/. Spent nice 2 weeks there.

Pros: Actually a beautiful hotel in every way from the lobby to the guest rooms and the views are stunning.
Cons: The hotel should provide discounts in their restaurants for guests residing in the hotel as an incentive to eat on the property.
Location: This hotel is right on the bus line so it make it easy to get around without a rental car. The bus is only $1 each way.
We had initially planned to obtain a rental car but once we discovered the local bus runs ever few minutes right in front of the hotel we found it much easier to just catch the bus and never have to work about parking, gas or having to pay for various rental car insurance coverage. In addition, many of the water excursions are located right across the street which included all types of water related activities only a 3 minute walk away. We will definitely return to this hotel whenever in Cancun.

Great hotel, great staff, clean and accommodating as expected from the Marriott brand. We ha d a great week there and will defiantly go back and recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
