Don't waste your time booking here

I've been to Cancun about 14 times and can say this was one of my least pleasurable experiences. The hotel itself is spread out and yet, the room layout was awful and felt cramped. We were in contact with a representative from the hotel and it costs us 3x's for a ocean front room upgrade than it costs online. The front desk staff was downright rude when trying to resolve this issue and acted as if they could care less that you the guest were happy or the fact that they were charging 3x's as much for the upgrade. We also upgraded to Royal service which was a complete waste of time and ended up cancelling royal service 2 days later. The food was sub par and ended up goi h off property several nights which costs us more money. With all the hotel choices you have in Cancun, this resort would be on the bottom of the list.

Great food options, nice rooms. Excellent service

Great service here... super friendly and attentive. Restaurant options good. Tip -make reservations the day before. Beach was also wonderful. The only downside was the noise level - they played music everywhere - the pool and beach, the halls. Beach DJ had the volume up so high we wasted our $125/day beach cabana we rented - it was peaceful in the morning when we got the cabana. By mid morning the DJ showed up and it was just too loud. Couldn't even hear each other speak. The beach attendant tried to ask them to turn it down but alas, within 20 minutes it was blasting again. Aside from that... great place. Food delicious, rooms wonderfully appointed. And again, I cannot say enough about the lovely staff. Due to the music though, we will opt for a different hotel next time.

Great hotel, but food is not as good.

Hotel is nice and renewated. The food/buffet, drinks wasn't the best experience for me. so many things there tasted like soy products. The best place for steak is Market Grill. Their food was fresh and natural. Really enjoyed Market Grill! Besides that, from 4-6 pm they close buffet and the only place to eat was tacos/ quesadias buffet, which we didn't like much. Even around here, in US, Spanish food is much better. Juices were suck... couldn't drink any mix with juices and ended up with Margarita only... Disappointed with their food and drinks. Besides that, the beds on a beach is $100/day. Red bull $5 extra. Alcohol drink they don't deliver to the room... and Im taking about glass of house wine.... Never saw any "all inclusive" hotel like that in a world.

Unbelievable

Absolutely perfect! The food and amenities were terrific and the staff was incredibly friendly! I loved everything about this resort, down to the floral smell in the lobby and through the halls. Raul, Jorge, Ana, Octavio and Cristhian were amazing!

Paradise!

Pros: We loved the many choices of food, the amenities, the beach, the cleanliness and the attention to detail.
Cons: The hanging plants can be trimmed of dead leaves-a pet peeve of mine.
Location: The location is perfect and there are so many activities nearby especially Aquaworld.
What a wonderful, relaxing experience! Everyone was friendly, attentive and capable. The food was very good, the hotel and grounds exquisite and we will definitely return!

Great amenities

Average rooms. But didn't spend much time there. Amenities more than make up for it. Food was good, nightly shows were entertaining, and pool area was a blast. Nice beach, close to attractions.

Expected Better Quality and Service

Pros: Location and designed for privacy.
Cons: Everyone had issues with wrong room on first night and had to be moved! Even though people got there on days.
Location: Right on the beach
They gave a room with 1 bed even though I booked months before hand with double bed. They did bring in a roll in bed, but had to go to check-in line again and wait another 30 minutes to get anything done. They initially gave me a room in the basement with a view of the grass and cars going up to the main entrance. Got another room the next day. The room was on a higher floor with a lagoon view which I paid for anyways. One of the 2 beds was broken. If you sit down on it the other end goes up like it was unbalanced. They would not bring me a ashtray to smoke my cigar at night on the patio after they told me they would get me one. They try to up sell you as soon as you are checking in.
