An Amazing Family Vacation

My family spent a week at Paradisus over spring break. Both my 1 and 5 year old had a great time. Plenty to do as a family, great kids clubs, and super accommodating.

Lovely all-inclusive with good food!!

This was my first time at Paradisus Cancun. I had tried to stay at the Hyatt Ziva, as I had last year, but it was booked. Although not the 5-starr quality of the shiny new Ziva, my 16 year old daughter and I really enjoyed the Paradisus. First, it is only a 15-20 minute drive from the airport. We did not take advantage of many activities, but there is a beautiful gym, spa and various offerings throughout the day. We really enjoyed the abundant and fresh food (lots of fish and fresh veggies, as well as yummy desserts), warm and eager-to-accommodate staff, and lovely pool. The hotel is conveniently located on the beach. The room itself was more than fine, with a balcony. (Ours overlooked the street and lagoon side of the water.) The biggest downside was the daily hunt for beach and pool chairs. The hotel is greatly under-supplied! There were many of us who were left to search and plead with the staff to find us chairs. We were fortunate in that, on several occasions, folks who were leaving offered us their chairs. However, most people claim their chairs early in the am and leave their towels as markers for the entire day, even if they never return. The hoyel has no system to track this, other than a (useless) sign indicating that belongings will be removed after 30 minutes of absence. The other missing piece was the shocking lack of cable tv and ability to rent movies! Fortunately, my daughter and I had fun watching The Simpsons en Español! But that is not for everyone.

Wonderful Stay

Maria our butler did an amazing job meeting our every need. Staff were attentive and catered to our every wish. Wonderful clean room with excellent view of the ocean! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful hotel on beach

This hotel was well-planned for their guests. The hotel is beautiful with hanging gardens and peaceful music for relaxation. The pools are set up nicely for adults only vs kids. There are shows every night and activities during the day to entertain guests. The majority of the restaurants have an ocean view. They were also very accommodating for a gluten- free diet. It was a pleasant experience.

Exceptional service, friendly staff, great beach

This was our first time staying at Paradisus Cancun and the experience was wonderful. The service was impeccable, from the moment we walked into the hotel, to the time we boarded our airport shuttle to leave. The oceanfront room view was amazing, the food diverse and tasty and for the first time during a visit to Mexico, no one returned home with an upset stomach. We were even pleasantly surprised by the quality of the entertainment - some really great dancers. The Michael Jackson show and the Pop Stars were our favorites. Our kids loved the animals, birds and the tribal warrior show during the day and all of the photo ops. I would recommend for both families and couples. Not ideal for singles, at least not during the April school spring break week we were there. Opportunities for improvement: more engagement in the day time activities. In some resorts activities take center stage at the pool. Here, the were activities such as Zumba and Volleyball, etc... but most of the staff enthusiasm in the activity area seemwd to be spent on selling excursions. As with most hotels, kids playground could use a face lift and kidz zone facilities didn't wow. I believe Paradisus would get way more customers if you invested in a real kids pool with slides and pirate ships, etc... Don't count on much single nightlife at the bars and club. This is not your place if that's what you're looking for. Overall, a wonderful experience that my family will remember for years to come.

Beautiful resort - pictures don't do it justice!

We had an amazing time! Food was pretty decent and service was excellent. Room outlets were outdated and we blew a fuse one night. The activities at aquaworld were awesome - speed boat snorkeling/jungle tour was so much fun!!

Friendly staff, not bad for an AI hotel.

Pros: The kids zone.
Cons: The rooms are outdated especially in pyramid 1. We had bugs during the night which is understandable as we are in nature. but. not the best experience
Location: It's in the hotel zone, which is a long strip on the island with many hotels next to each other in a row.
We have been to paradisus cancun 3 years in a row. We love the ocean view rooms, it is a must at this hotel! The staff is friendly and the food is fine especially for an All Inclusive hotel. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with many options. There are many restaurants to choose from but be aware that it needs to be booked in advance. Our son had food poisoning from Enso this time around so we would never eat there again but the others are good. Mole is one of our favorite. Even at its peak busiest season (around spring break in our experience) it was fine. The pool chairs get taken early in the morning but we are early risers so that wasn't a problem. the kids zone is great! The kids love the activities when they need a break from the pool and the sun - it's the perfect place for them to be. The sea is rough but beautiful and the soft sand is wonderful. The hotel is located about 15-20 mins away from the cancun airport which is great with small kids.
