October vacationPosted Oct 11, 2015
The resort was beautiful. The beach was amazing. Little to no Seagrass during our stay. Fransico in the swim up and bento bar was super friendly and made amazing drinks. Our butler rode was extremely helpful, friendly and sweet. He assisted with anything we needed. We will definetly be coming back to the paradisus. Oh and another plus was the topshelf liquor and way better then average food!!! The carnitas at the blue agave were awesome!!!

Best beachPosted Oct 10, 2015
We had an amazing experience at Paradisus Cancun. The hotel was clean and the smell all over was very nice. They paid attention to those details that you can remember. There are beautiful attriums in each towers and the restaurants are ok. In the spa the pool needs some attention, but what makes this experience unforgetable are the employees. The restaurant, La Palapa, was close and we didn't even notice that because victor, easier and Javier makes our days, they always went above and beyond to please us, I want to mention Moises too, they move people around in different positions and they always exceed my expectation. Victor in particularl brought me some drinks to the beach almost the water then he asked me when I am going to want my next drink. I had said 20 minutes and in 20 minutes our next drinks were coming. Rode was our butler always pending of us, overall I spend spectacular days in Cancun I want to go back soon

Dated hotelPosted Oct 8, 2015
I was disappointed in the rooms at the hotel. They were dated and not kept up as well as expected. The servers are excellent but the food quality could also use improvement.

beautiful location friendly staff horrible roomsPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: location and food
Cons: the rooms need to be upgraded
Location: lots of water activities golf and museams
I went through 4 room in three days and it was a struggle to deal with the front desk especially with only a 40% occupancy. You would think they would upgrade us for our inconvenience but not until our fourth room and still it was not up to par but it had a working A/C until the last night. For such a beautiful place and location the management should step up. They even had the nerve to try and sell us a time share after our experience

Comfortable hotel staff excellentPosted Oct 6, 2015
Hotel was beautiful staff attentive and friendly. Food was ok. Beach was beautiful. Did not receive a schedule for night activities and did night figure it out until next night. The disco DJ played a lot of techno style music and did not pay attention to his audience (single women and couples ages 40-50) therefore lost his night club audience. I like Punta Cana Paradisus location better for activities. Pillows provided in room were uncomfortable no slippers or robe provided as it was in Punta Cana. stayed in tower 1 had an odor in corridor. We had to find room on our own after checking in. I would rate 3.8.

All in all: Good hotelPosted Oct 6, 2015
This hotel is very pretty, close to the beach and has a lot going on. The staff was amazing and truly accommodating to their highest potential. I think the biggest problems we encountered were due to the fact that we were there during off season. My newlywed wife and I were there for seven days but due to construction on the hotel strip the power went out for several hours at a time (the first time being all day). Therefore, there was no AC in the entire building during the power shortages and the only lights were emergency ones. But I think that the biggest letdown when it comes to comfort was the AC in the room. The thermostat would let it get uncomfortably hot and then blast the cold air to cool things down and repeat that cycle throughout the entire night. This made sleeping a whole sport in between waking up sweating, ripping off the covers, falling back asleep and waking up freezing, getting back under the covers while shivering. Again, aside from harder nights, this place was a true joy to be at, whether that be thanks to the staff, the good food, the many different restaurants, the awesome pool and pool bar, the proximity to the beach or all the different excursions suggested. I do not regret it one bit!

Second class experiencePosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Half of the time, excellent food. Nice shows and activities. Beach front property. Some staff really nice, specially the Tacos place, Kuddos.
Cons: A contingency plan, Educate the personnel, Consistency in the service provided.
Location: Safe and strategically close to everything. Do your research, there is plenty for all personal choices, budgets and time of the year.
Disappointment, two days no power, no A.C., no Wi-Fi, no help. the staff pretended to make it look like it was the government's fault (they manage the electricity) but the same staff told us that was a maintenance matter. Even one day a lady at the front desk told me that a generator was damaged but was a matter of couple of hours to fix it. Didn't happened that way. Some one called me to apologize and offer me strawberries with chocolate or a bottle of wine; I said no, so nothing else happened. Next day another day of no power. Laughable. Every time I needed something, speaking with 4-5 people to, at the end, solve nothing. I just tried to make it to the end of my vacation the best way possible. It could be a great experience because the count with some awesome staff but the unpleasant ones ruined the good ones. Last day, at check out the lady at the front desk asked how my experience was and when i said 50/50 she made a face and ignored me.

Excellent property, good food, average service.Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Rooms, pools, access to the beach, booze.
Cons: Staff service
Excellent property - fantastic suite rooms and facilities. Right by the beach, good pools. Decent food options if you're a hardcore meat eater, not so much for veggies (like me). Average service and staff attitude dampens your spirits, but some extra shots in the pool bar alleviates the mood.
