Sales speech before checkin ....

Posted Apr 22, 2016
1. We got here around 8 am.... Before we even got check in there already sit us down for "sales/timeshare" which is a really big turn off! Then we were aware that check in is not till 3 but other resorts will accommodate you for early check in or at least offer a courtesy place to wash up after a long flight but they didn't, I had to come back 4 different times just to check if our room was ready. First we were promise at 10 am, 11 am, 1:00 pm! After a long travel this is not what I needed 2. There are certain areas like pool, and restaurants that you cannot use because it was for "preferred guest" 3. Not a lot of choices for lunch restaurants and the dinne resturants another turn off!!!!! All you want is to enjoy the evening and the waiter keep selling you wine!!! Wine that they don't even have sample to taste, and they expect me to purchase a $250 wine without even tasting it! And when we decided to order a different wine from what he was selling he came back and offer us 2 glasses of wine if we buy the bottle he is selling!!!! SMH 3. Food is very mediocre some are dry and not even pretty to look at! The most decent lunch I had was at sea salt, and the buffet lunch.... Dinner was disappointing you would expect maybe they will sell you lobster instead of over price wine 4. They have really good ocean view, but it's very dull and dead nothing exciting happening (activities, etc). They had a show on the front lobby once and that's a bout it.

A diverse and tasty all-inclusive resort

Posted Apr 19, 2016
6 restaurants, 4 pools, world-class customer service. I was seeking a quiet, low-key vacation where I wouldn't have to leave the resort and where I could lay on the beach all day. This place has such diverse food options and entertainment choices. Every moment was of relaxation, convenience, and bliss. I would come back to this specific resort in a heartbeat.

Love this hotel - all around one of the best!

Posted Apr 18, 2016
Pros: Overall impressive service provided by each associate - too many to name, but must say every interaction with members was very positive!
Cons: Early check in clarification could help - including those coming in on red eye flights. I was aware check in time 4pm, but did feel mislead waiting.
Location: Great location as easy to get to many parts of the city easily and safely. Its all about the beach, I loved it.
The views from the hotel are amazing - from guest rooms, restaurants, and more; the focus on seeing the ocean is impressive. Each interaction with associates went incredibly pleasant and felt welcome to be there as past international travel never impressed me like this. The guests throughout the stay you interact with are fun, outgoing and enjoying their experience with you. Couple quick notes: great style all around the hotel, from stonework to glassware, etc. Food was so delicious, a credit to the chefs. Pools were fun and well serviced. Enough dining options for at least five nights in if you do not want to travel all over the city. Spa was wonderful in atmosphere and services offered. Safe hotel all around, but reminder in Cancun nearby hotels can be loud with outdoor events at nighttime. You get asked last name and room a lot - get use to it. Credit to all workers, but special notes to entire Bell Desk staff, Carlos at service desk, Claudia in VIP services, Olivia at pool waitstaff, Mosies our server on romantic dinner - everyone was kind to my wife and I.

Spring Break Getaway

Posted Apr 17, 2016
Pros: Service staff at the beach and pool. Entertainment at the pool.
Cons: Check in concierge staff and butlers need serious training in customer service. Stop trying to sell wine bottles, so annoying.
Location: Beachfront. No need to leave the resort. Shopping near by.
Enjoyed the location of this hotel and food was amazing! All service staff was amazing, however their hotel greeting staff needs serious training! When we arrived we were talked into upgrading to VIP. BIG MISTAKE! VIP just means a higher floor and access to the VIP pool which was always crowded no matter how early we seemed to get there. You supposedly get a "butler" that is there to make your stay more comfortable in any way shape or form. We didn't even meet our "butler" til the next day. We noticed people who were checking in were greeted with champagne and escorted to their rooms by their butlers. We were given a key and shown to the elevator. We waited over an hour for our luggage to be sent up and it was only sent up because I called and complained. Next, we were told with VIP our room was an upgrade, after reviewing my original booked room, I noticed it was the exact room! Then the VIP hotel credits were supposed to be $400 according to expedia, they were only giving us $200. Not that it mattered, the increment in which they could be used are ridiculous. After I complained to our "butler" we were refunded the VIP fee for the rest of our stay. Such a shame we had to start our vacation this way. They tried making it up with champagne and wine...ugh we mentioned tons of times we didn't drink wine or champagne!! The constant selling of wine bottles is also super annoying!! Thank god for the service at the pool and beach, service there made our vacation awesome!

Top notch hotel - can't wait to go back

Posted Apr 12, 2016
Pros: The ambiance, the staff, the location, the room. All excellent
My wife and I just returned from Secrets The Vine where we went for our 10 year anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better place. Our only goal was pure relaxation. We wanted a location with a great pool, on the beach and some options for food. We had no desire to leave the resort once we arrived. We chose to add on the Preferred Club and it was completely worth it. First we were greeted with two flutes of champagne upon arrival (not connected to the Preferred Club). But then we were personally escorted up to our floor by our Butler, Angel. Angel could not have been nicer or more helpful. He checked us in and, when he found out it was our anniversary, hung a sash on our door and offered to send us a special in-room breakfast. The restaurants ranged from ok to pretty good. Items were hit or miss on most of the menus. Dragons and Bluewater Grill were the highlight of the restaurants for us. The room was clean and spacious and had a great balcony with an amazing view of the sunset. But by far, the best part of the trip was the staff. The entire staff was friendly and engaging. The highlight for us was the pool butler, Silvia and Miguelito. Even in the heat and humidity, they were on the run moving umbrellas, getting towels and seeing to the overall experience. The one day that Silivia wasn't there seems to be a little more chaotic. Overall, it was exactly the vacation we were looking for when we booked. Can't wait to go back.

Get pampered at this resort

Posted Apr 11, 2016
Pros: Spa, yoga classes, great restaurants, gym, attentive staff, coffee shop, meal choices, easy registration, entertainment, cleanliness, quality service
Cons: Only one ATM on site or nearby and it didn't work. It would help to have more that offered US currency for beach purchases.
Location: Centrally located surrounded by other resorts and a shopping mall within walking distance.
This resort was an amazing experience from the time of arrival until departure. The service and attention to detail was unprecedented. Six restaurants with gourmet food at each one and no need for reservations and no wait, ever. Numerous pools with comfy lounge chairs and plenty of space on the beach. Everything truly was included from food to any alcoholic beverage you could ask for, including the mini bar in your room! It's an adult resort and if you love kids but don't want to vacation with them, then this is for you. The spa staff is experienced and the accommodations are perfect to spoil you for a day. No need to venture off but if you want to take advantage of any of the excursions, they make booking easy. Hotel staff will assist with anything to make your stay more pleasant.

Great Spring Break Stay.

Posted Apr 10, 2016
Having stayed at two all-inclusive resorts previously, this was our favorite thus far. The staff was excellent as was the food and accommodations. This was our first at an all adult resort and, although we like the kiddos, we enjoyed the more quiet experience. We have every intention of returning to this resort!
