Pool is Not Heated

Great location, quiet beach but windy as can be and can't swim in the pools as they are not heated, January has colder weather in Cancun and the pool temps were around 65 and that is not acceptable. NO one in the pool except for lap swimmers and little children. The hotel needs to heat the pools for when the outdoor temps are less than 80 degrees. The location was lovely, close to the ocean and great views. The weather was windy for our entire 4 days so we couldn't swim in the ocean but did get good sun on the lagoon side of the resort where the winds were blocked by the building. You get what you pay for at this resort. 6th floor has the balconies with a lovely view of the ocean and lagoon, the rooms are dated however and the upgrades are minimal interior. Lobby just ok and old.

This hotel only for the old people

The hotel has no entertainment, no tennis, no gym, not even volleyball. There is no music on the beach. The sea was of big waves, so swimming is not allowed, and the pool water is so cold that there swam only a couple of people. .In The room air conditioner was working in one mode and one temperature that is sufficiently cool. Only one- amused very nice vie

Great place for a quiet, relaxing visit

If you want a relaxing, quiet escape, this is the hotel for you. It's on the far end of the "hotel highway", so it is not by shops, nightlife, or restaurants, however, the restaurants in the hotel are more than adequate. The bus ride to center of town is only approx. $1 USD, so you can go into town extremely easily. We received a room upgrade, without asking. The room was beautiful, ocean view, balcony. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our trip. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet vacation to lay on the beach or at the pool.

Website depicted a spacious deluxe room but, what was provided was a studio wit two beds. Personnel elevator was really noisy along with construction- we were disappointed. Everything else was good...

Short couples trip was wonderful

My husband and I came to this hotel for a short three-night getaway. We were very happy with the hotel staff, the cleanliness, the pool, Arrecifes, the location (very close to the airport, easy to catch the bus, not far from shopping). Always able to get chairs at the pool or beach. Waitstaff at the pool was top-notch, especially Jimmy. We ate dinner the first night at Arrecifes and it was our favorite meal of the trip - everything was delicious. We would definitely come back for another quick getaway, and this hotel is great if you aren't into all-inclusive resorts. My only concern was that we requested a king bed, and upon check-in, we were given a room with double beds and told there were no king beds available that night. It ended up not being a big deal, and they called the next morning to see if we wanted to switch to a king room. Otherwise, the whole trip was wonderful and we enjoyed our time greatly.

Loved the hotel staff and the private beach.

Pros: Loved the private beach and hotel staff.
Cons: Our bathroom toilet had a leak.
Location: A 15 minute bus ride from downtown, the location was perfect. It was nice being further away from downtown to enjoy the quiet beach.
Loved the friendly and accommodating staff. Private access to the beach was amazing. There are a few restaurants in the hotel which were a great option after a long day out.

Location is good but the facility is old

Pros: Ocean View from balcony room.
Cons: More choice for Vegetarians.
Location of this hotel is good with beautiful ocean view from balcony room. Hotel staff is caring and responsive. Food in hotel restaurants is decent but has only few choices for vegetarian. This hotel is old and has associated maintenance issues.

Great location to the airport and beach

Pros: Size and location. Not a mega-party resort.
Cons: hallway carpet
Location: Great restaurants
Very nice time, 12 minutes from the airport, seconds to the beach from our room, easy bus rides to restaurants. The only issue I had was the hallway carpet could be updated.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is a retreat from the hustle of Cancun. I can't wait to go back, very safe and secure area and a million dollar view.
