Great location ,few steps from beach.Posted Nov 26, 2015
Pros: Location . Staff Room Hammock out side your room . Nice !
Cons: TOWELS !! They could also improve the little kitchen .
Location: Few steps from beach . Right around the corner from PLaya Norte best beach in Isla Mujeres ! Few blocks from restaurants and shops .
Basic and clean . Beautiful grounds . Quiet and walking distance to restaurants and shopping area . My only complain are the towels they provide. I do not care if they are old as long as they smell clean and fresh . Not the case . We will definitely stay here again but will bring my own towels. VERY comfortable bed and pillows. LOVE that is right at the beach. We stayed at the Maya area in #8 Love it! Staff was very helpful and nice . Thank you!

מיקום נהדר, היתר ממוצע מינוסPosted Aug 27, 2015 on Hotels

Super clean and comfy, right on the beachPosted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: The room, the location, the reef in front.
Cons: There was a thin wooden door between our room and our next door neighbor, and we could hear everything.
I'm not sure why this hotel has below 4 stars. The room we had (#11) seemed all new, soft king size bed, brand new bathroom, A/C worked really well, all very clean. The hotel is right on a small beach that is enclosed on 4 sides by a long dock, a resort, a reef, and a curve in the coastline. The water at beach is very shallow and there are a lot of kids and local families there. The hotel can loan you a snorkel mask and there are tons of fish out at the reef. Playa norte is about a 5 min float via the water, 5 min walk on the beach, or 1 block away via the street. It's about a 10 min walk to town (about 3 long blocks). I liked how it is not in the middle of the madness of town / playa norte, in the morning & at night it's very quiet. The lady who owns it is a native to the island and she is super sweet. If you don't speak any spanish it might be an issue. It is a great hotel. We would definitely go back.

A good, adequate beach hotelPosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: location, view
Cons: furnish beach chairs and umbrellas.
Location: Small island with many very good restaurants nearby
Overall experience was positive. Location was very good right on small beach next to water which was a shallow inlet about 75 yards across and waist deep or less. Great place for children. Many locals come to this area. If stairs are ok for you, second floor is best with balcony and beach/water view with many palm trees in courtyard next to beach. You can get king size bed or two doubles. Good maid service and ladies at front desk were helpful. The biggest negative is no beach chairs and umbrellas come with the hotel price. They rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for about $12 U S per day, which seems pricy. This seems to be the norm on the island unless you are at an upscale hotel. This is a casual beach hotel. They furnish beach towels and there is a kitchen where you can prepare light meals. The room has a refrigerator. About 3-4 blocks to all the restaurants and shops. No room service, pool, or restaurant on site. Fenix bar & restaurant nest door. Rent a golf cart for a day to see the island, was about $35 if you shop around . Everyone does it seems.

Right on snow white sand beachPosted Jul 27, 2015
Turquois water. Snow white sand. Snorkle with the reef fish right outside your door. Everything within walking distance. Rent a golf cart go to the most eastern point in Mexico under beautiful cliffs above crystal clear water.

Greit hotell som ligger ved den nordlige stranden. Fordelen ved den nordlige stranden er at det alltid er vind.

Great locationPosted Jul 25, 2015 on Hotels
There were 2 kitchens with dishes, hot plates, a microwave and bottled water. The beach was excellent, great for young children as the water is shallow. The only negative is that the chairs and umbrellas on the beach are 190 pesos.

Great beach hotel. Go enjoy the beachPosted Jul 6, 2015 on Hotels
Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Our room was on the first floor so we walked through the hammock garden (which was awesome!) to the beach approximately 35 steps to the ocean! The beach was quiet being located in the lagoon shared with the Mia Reef Mega resort. This hotel was fantastic the rooms were clean and tide they all had hammocks on the porches. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and shaded by beautiful coconut palms with a hammock garden in the shade overlooking the lagoon. I dare you to find a better location for a hotel. Here are the low points: tv remote didn't work (WHO CARES GO OUTSIDE TO THE BEACH!) No internet in the rooms (WHO CARES GO OUTSIDE TO THE BEACH!) They lock the hotel access at night so if you go out to have some cocktails you have to wake the night staff to let you in (I felt bad for the guy, but not that bad) They offer a free continental breakfast at Buho's which is a block away (Don't use it, the staff at buho's was terrible, walk the 3 blocks to the strip and enjoy breakfast for 8 dollars) The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations/expansions so construction noise was going on from 9-5 (GET UP AND GO TO THE BEACH) The beach in front of the hotel is more of a locals beach never very crowded so you can always find a spot on the beach. The lagoon has the best snorkeling on the island. it's across the street from the fenix beach bar and three blocks from the main strip.
