Great hotel amazing staff

Posted Aug 21, 2015
The guests at this hotel are the only problem. Over indulged children and guests that lay out towels by the pool to hold a chair the night before. Dress code for dinner is women get all dressed up and the men are a mess like they rolled out of bed or in one case the pool. Many guests seem to be on par with a Dominican low end all inclusive. The hotel and staff tolerate this and not sure why.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for choosing our resort during you recent visit to our destination. As much as you loved our facilities, it sadden us to know you have a bad impression of the ambiance of our resort. Please note that Zoëtry® Wellness & Spa Resorts are adult oriented. This means that kids amenities, menus, facilities or activities are nonexistent on site. We do welcome families however, our reservations policy requires children any age to pay full adult rates. Also, please be advised that it is not allowed to reserve lounge chairs. Although they are provided in a first come first served basis, we have plenty available so our guests enjoy a comfortable time at the beach and pools. We also regret if it appears that some guests did not follow hotel's dress code at our restaurants. We always urge visitors to respect their appearance in order to maintain the cordial and pleasant environment of the night. All in all, we are glad to know you had a wonderful experience. Make sure that your observations will be shared with the rest of the team and will be carefully revised to take actions on this matters. Hopefully, you will give us the honor to welcome you back again in this, your home away from home. Your Host, Marco Soria General Manager.

Perfect vacation!

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: The staff, the gourmet meals, the comfort of the rooms and its view, the pools and beach, everything was top notch! Also loved the laundry service.
Cons: Only improvements would be the plumbing (that might be a small island thing though and was acceptable as is), but the gym definitely needs improvement
Location: We enjoyed a golf cart rental and touring the island. We stopped by the turtle farm as well and that was worth the $3!
Loved this hotel and its staff. The beach, pools, and rooms were beautiful. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and service! We will definitely be back!

Dear sara, We would like to thank you for your preference in selecting our resort for your last vacation. It is truly a pleasure for us to learn that you enjoyed the facilities, the food, the views from your room, and also that you found the staff willing to serve you and always smiling. We apologize if you had issues with the plumbing in your room. It is wonderful this minor detail did not prevent you from having a vacation full of memories that will last forever. Once more, thank you for extending us your impressions. We look forward to welcome you again at this tropical corner of the Mexican Caribbean. Your Host, Marco Soria General Manager.

Wonderful Stay!

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: -location -staff helpfulness -food -cold air conditioning in rooms
Cons: -more live music and evening activities -music in the pool area
My husband and I spent 4 days here last week and really enjoyed our time. The room was huge and gorgeous and COLD which is a requirement for us. It may sound petty but I was able to dry my long, thick hair and style it without any worry of humidity in the room. We had a first floor room and never used the hot tub because of the lack of privacy but it was nice to be able to go in and out from the pool area. The food was exceptional and the waiters and kitchen were helpful in allowing us to tweak the order to our liking. The tasting menu is PHENOMENAL!! We were only able to go 2 nights but I would say go every night twice if you can, LOL. So fun tasting all of the different flavors and courses without having to worry about picking anything out from a menu. We really enjoyed visiting with Jesus the restaurant manager. He has a great personality and made the meals fun. The front desk team was excellent with helping us schedule excursions and activities outside of the resort. They provide a list of activities and prices for you at check-in so you can pick and chose what you want to do which I appreciated. We rented a golf cart one day and snorkeled and also did the sunset cruise that the hotel offered as part of our stay. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend the Zoetry Villa Rolandi!

Disappointed.

Posted Aug 8, 2015
For a luxury 5 star, this place was terrible. Other reviews are inconsistent for a 4 or 5 star. If you are cheap, then you will like this place. But if you expect quality fur your money, keep looking. Looks great in pics but place has aged. Specifics: A/c went from very cold one minute and warm the next. Bed linens felt plasticy. Mattress was uncomfortable. Decor was old. Especially bath. Built-ins were missing shelving. Jacuzzi tub didn't work. Patio furniture was old and cruddy as was hotel pool. Hotel food was not that great. The spoiler is hotel tries to sell you a membership. View was the only thing nice which is why people think the place is great. Stay closer to town and not at the opposite side of island.

Zoetry - more like a 2 star Hotel with no beach

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: - Sewage problem (poop smell) - hotel rooms were falling apart and mickey moused together - Showers never worked - Better food
Location: The snorkeling down the road was horrible, the golf carts are fun but only one place is worth going to which is the beach at the north of the island
We came to Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancun for 7 days and really only got a 3 day vacation as we had so much trouble in the first 3 days we wanted to leave. We left 1 day early it was that bad. DO NOT STAY HERE I am going to try to do a pros and cons list for you to make it easier to understand. Pros: - Staff is very friendly and helpful (they wanted to make your stay nice) especially the manager of the hotel Marco - Grounds were nicely kept - Beautiful views Cons: - We arrived and got put into a room the smelled like sewage. my wife instantly complained and we moved rooms - Our new room also smelled like sewage and we were told no rooms were available right now but they will fix the smell while we were at dinner. We came back to a room filled with the chemicals so bad that it made it hard to breath. Some Orange cleaner, it was horrible. We had to air out our room for over an hour and WE MOPPED the floors with towels to get the rid of the horrid smell - the next morning day 3 it smelled like sewage again which we decided we had to move again and all of a sudden the pumped orange into the rooms through the air conditioner ducts - Our clothes and suitcases still smell like sewage which we had to bring to the cleaners. That means particulates blew into our room from sewage and covered all of our clothes and bags as well as breathing it in.

Dear Lucas, Thank you for your review about your stay at Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancun. It sadden us to know that we have not fulfilled your expectations during your visit. As management personally explained, there where unusual circumstances that result in strong smell in the rooms at the end of the hallways; which is why you had to change rooms twice. Thankfully we were able to properly fix them in a timely manner. We regret hearing nothing about your clothes If we had known, it would have been our pleasure to assist you at anything that could possibly be at our hands. Part of the Endless Privileges® experience of the resort includes complimentary overnight laundry service, and it would have been our pleasure to put extra care with your apparel. What genuinely surprises us, are your comments about our gourmet restaurants, as this topic was never discussed despite several meetings with the managers and supervisors. Our award winning restaurants only use the best and freshest products available on the market, and we are certified under strict national and international Health & Safety standards. Our selection of drinks is wide and only include top shelf spirits. Drinks are measured following international standards and could be adjusted according guest preference. Your observations break our hearts and seem to be unfair. However, we understand taste is subjective and always very personal. Rest assured it was never our intention disturb you with any inconvenience at all, and for that we deeply apologize. We were glad you accept all the compensations we offered you while on property, as a token of our appreciation and willing to erase this unfortunate event. While we understand the way you feel about you experience during your stay, it is our hope you will not let such an isolated stay tarnish your perception of our hotel, and at some point in the future, you decide to give us another opportunity to provide the service you deserve and our hotel is widely recognized for. Everything on the resort and island are top notch. The ability of the staff to meet all needs show in their customer service. The resort also does a great job ensuring your boat, cab, etc are always right on time.

One of a kind

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: The staff is the best part, genuinely warm, friendly and fun. Many still there from our visit six years prior, before it had the Zoetry logo.
Cons: One dull note: immediate upon arrival, the Zoetry rep pushing a package deal to all the Zoetry resorts.
Villa Rolandi is a gem. Luxurious, with personality and charm, on a small scale, separated by blue water from the nuttiness of Cancun. Two fabulous restaurants. And now it's all inclusive which is so nice.

Great place to unplug from work!

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Staff, food, location, ambiance.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Golf cart ride around island, Richard Sowa's floating island, swim, snorkel, relax.
Zoetry was great. Small number of rooms so not crowded with people, nice pools and pool area, wonderful staff, great food, clean. Quiet, attention paid to the details. Definitely will return next year!

Very Small, Very Special Place

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: The boat ride was nice. Food was very good. Drinks where good especially from the bar. View from the room is beautiful. Room service menu was great.
Cons: I have been to most of the Zoetry properties. They need a bar with a casual sitting area off the pool deck or buy the new restaurant. Spa was sub par.
Location: This hotel is away from everything. The only thing to do is to relax, eat wonderful food, and soak up the sun!
Zoetry got this right. They are accumulating very special properties. This was different from all the others that I have visited. The one thing that I expect form there resorts was great food, drinks, service, and relaxation. This is what there resorts are about! They nailed it.
