The position to the shops and restaurants was only a short walk away. So convenient. The hotel was very clean and the garden and pool were perfect. Small hotel which were very much liked.

Coming here for the Cannes Film Festival, this location was well priced for its proximity to the festival. It was quiet as not on the Croisette but close enough that I could go back to change in between parties. A quiet location, I enjoyed the AC and the sight of the pool but it was too cold and rainy to actually take a dip. I would book here again.

The reception team were rude, unhelpful, accusatory and unapologetic. The pool service team were exceptional, as were the breakfast team, and the man who helped us with breakfast when we left early.

An awkward check in where the receptionist insisted everything was paid in advance. A very small room. Awkward check out where despite all charges being paid on check in the receptionist insisted on reviewing the bill line by line. In general, very unwelcoming and low standard of property.

Overall the hotel is clean and well kept. Not sure if it was due to current Covid situation, but my only complaint the guest were very noisy and late hours at night. Waking me up from sleep the entire 6 nights spent there. You can hear everything in your room from the hallways and nearby rooms. Cannot really blame the hotel but the class of people during my stay were “special” to keep it polite.

This isn’t like a 4 star, I note that was awarded in 2011 and seems to have been going downhill ever since There appears to be only a handful of staff who deal with everything - in a not particularly friendly or personal manner - with the exception of the chap who took the bags, he was the only one who appeared to like his job. The bar is unwelcoming, no lights on or music etc - there’s a grand piano that remains closed, it advertises 24 hour bar but you have to ask the receptionist for service. I never saw anybody in there nor felt encouraged to use myself. The pool area is ok but no real drinks/snack service, the little shop/cafe was shut with blinds permanently down, you can as the receptionist if you want a drink (so have to go inside),. Towels are a joke - this is meant to be a 4 star but no pool towels provided unless you hire for 6 euro ... each... per day - or you want to buy a sad grey towel for 13 euro each, I didn’t. Blackout curtains didn’t, over bath shower with weak flow. Amenity pack not topped up. The only thing provided in room was plastic bath cup x 2 - these were used for everything and after 4 days, I had to ask for replacement. The ‘complimentery’ Water was a one off, just a small bottle on arrival and nothing more. No restaurant other than breakfast which is ok at best but ends at 10 weekdays and weekends.... too early! No real snack service. Good location to access hints but apart from that, don’t bother. I wouldn’t stay again.

Great hotel, rooms very well presented with modern decor. Quite small hotel, nice atmosphere , staff very polite and helpful. Has an outdoor pool which was popular with the guests but plenty of loungers for everyone. They have a deal with 'c beach' , they were able to book spaces for us at reception ar a discounted rate. Quite a little gem...

The hotel which was central which was perfect. It was also very quiet. Comfortable clean rooms with friendly staff. Rooms were quite small and bathroom facilities were poor with no proper shower over a very small bath.

The hotel was lovely. Beautifully maintained and only a few minutes walk from everything. The breakfast buffet was very good. We sat outside on the terrace to eat ours. The pool area was lovely and the water was a nice temperature. By far the best bit of the hotel was our room - we had a duplex room for 4 adults - room 122 - which was possibly the nicest hotel room we have ever had because the patio doors opened out onto the pool area. We just had to walk down 6 stairs and we were there. The 6 stairs were like a sweeping staircase so it felt very grand! We kept our doors open and we could walk in and out to the pool area all afternoon. By far the nicest room we’ve had.

Great hotel, lovely staff
I stayed for business just before Cannes Lions. It was relaxing and helped me to get focused for the forthcoming craziness. Lovely breakfast, quite a bit of variety such as eggs, bacon, cereals and pastries. The room was cool and a great respite from the sun. The pool is warm in the morning and afternoon and the main road whilst very close is not as noisy as I first expected. I did manage to lose an item of clothing, but the staff did go out of their way to investigate even if the item remains lost.

Pleasant stay. Helpful staff, they even upgraded our room which was very comfortable. The hotel isn t in the best area bit just few blocks to good restaurants and the water. Breakfast and parking more expensive than average though.

Charming hotel close to station.
The room itself was small but all popular French hotels seem to be that way. The staff were excellent and during my stay it was very convenient to get to the old town and the station. I think it could be improved by having tear-out maps of the town to get around.

Very attentive staff and a lovely hotel.
I am a frequest traveller to Cannes and this hotel was great for a long weekend break. Close to the station and fantastic wifi something very hard to get in many hotels I have visited. As Im coming back to cannes in December this hotel is now definately of my repeat booking list.

I proposed you another room after you first night and I only wish you would have accepted to go ahead and at least see it as I was sure you would have liked it. We strive to maintain the highest standards and especially in regards to maintaining the overall look and feel of the hotel. You have had people in the room next to you that have caused troubles for the first two nights of your stay. Even with a goodsoundproofing, such disrepectful attitudes in rooms and corridors prevented you as well as a few other rooms from sleeping. Feel free next time to reach the reception dialing 9 in order for us to intervene immediately! Basic hotel offering basic services
I had a small duplex room and was surprised when I tried to use the bath. The smell was horrible like the smell of a sanitory sewer system. The room was very basic without coffee/ tea facilities. I forgot to say that I was asked to give 100£ as deposit to the front desk agent. First time I am asked to do so in an Hotel in France, above all for a room already paid by Bank card. Other hotels in the same city are offering better services and are quite often more competitive.

Fantastic location 10 minutes walk from the town
We booked this hotel two weeks before journeying to Cannes for our honeymoon in August 2015, after a complete nightmare involving British Airways and a trip to the Bahamas. Well, Cannes and the Golden Tulip more than made up for our disappointment in not going to Freeport! We loved the hotel, the super friendly and efficient staff, the good quality breakfasts, the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms - all superb. Our room was a triple, which didn't leave a whole load of space to waltz around but with Cannes on your doorstep how much time do you spend in your room anyway! Plus this is one of the only hotels in Cannes with a swimming pool - perfect for lazy days! Only one comment though - as funky as the sun loungers look, they really aren't all that comfortable! And near to impossible for laying on your front!

It's Just Pot Luck
When booking this hotel through Expedia, the room we chose trumpeted ' A Superior room with Queen bed and space for a small child's bed if required. What we got was a musty smelling small attic room on the 4th floor with a new double bed, new carpet, decoration which seemed to be 'work in progress' and a very tired looking bathroom. Oh, well, the weather is nice so let's not dwell on it. After the 5th night, half choked on liberal doses of lemon air freshener, presumably instructed to be sprayed by the maid, we awoke to the pitter patter of rain dripping through the ceiling onto the the duvet. We quickly got dressed and reported the situation. 3 hours later we were allocated another 'Superior' room on the second floor which was fully refurbished and seemed to match the room description at the time of booking. We were promised 'breakfast on the house' that morning, but as we had already paid in advance, upon our checkout the receptionist said that it would have to be checked with the manager as it was a package booked through Expedia. Great !

My new favorite and home in Cannes
The staff was refreshigly accomodating from initially granting my request to have a room w/a bath tub, storing my insulin in fridge, patiently and repeatedly explaining detailed directions to various destinations on foot, by car and the various parking rules, regulatios, prices and schedule. When a local friend came to visit me she was escorted personally to my door by Raymond graciously without any expectation or hesitation for compensation. Argen, paciently and calmly exlpained and assisted me with several requests above and beyond the typical. Pierre's level of service was beyond wonderful. I felt welcome, warm and at home at the Golden Tulip and was sad to leave.

Whilst the location of the hotel was in good proximity to La Croisette beach, the service was not the best and the rooms were also very uncomfortable with a low ceiling. Our room was not ready at 2pm the day we checked in and despite us having confirmation of this in our booking we were told to go for a walk and come back by 3pm to ensure availability. Overall an average experince, and ok value for money.

Very poor service. No facilities what's ever.
The rooms are weirdly designed. No fridg or mini bar in the room. Breakfast is worth than school Breakfast . My sons went out one evening and when they returned to the hotel the door was shut So they phone the receptionist and it took him more than one hour to open the door for them. We did not even get any apology from the hotel. For me this was the worst hotel I have experienced . Please get it out of your list otherwise it will ruin the reputation of Expedia.com.

Golden Tulip Cannes Hotel de Paris sits next to the main highway that cuts through Cannes so is very convenient and easy to find if you are driving. The pool is a bit smaller in real life than in the pictures but is still nice. Surprisingly the traffic noise in the hotel and the pool area is very low. A quick walk brings you to many restaurants and bars. A fifteen minute walk brings you to the beautiful Boulevard le Croisette and the beaches. All in all not a bad location. Would I stay here again? Not likely but only because there are hotels closer to the shore, while 3 star, give mostly the same level of service except for the pool.
