Beautiful Hotel, lovely rooms and lobby

Pros: We loved the views and the rooms were perfect
Location: Very close to the private dock, beach, and great restaurants and shopping.
The staff was extremely accommodating and attentive

Very nice hotel great location

Perfect staff, caring, helpful,trying to solve your problems right away. So congratulations . The location is perfect from there you start walking on la croisette everything is at your walking distance... The only downside of this hotel is that it is very old and needs major refurbishment.They have already started, and this will end next year. So make sure you ask for newer rooms but they are rather small and if you are more than two in a room you must take older rooms.but as I mentioned the hotel management do everything to cover up . The pool area is small for the size of the hotel, the pool bar is nice ..the beach restaurant z.plage is very nice and tasty. Have fun....

Close to the beach (but still pay for sunbeds)

Pros: Location was great
Cons: free sunbeds on the beach for residents
Location: good restaurants
Good location, small pool with limited sunbed availability..... you do have access to a lovely beach, but even as residents of the hotel, you have to pay for beds there. The hotel itself is nice and in a great location, nearby loads of bars and restaurants within easy walkable distance. We weren't given much information from the hotel on check in which was slightly dissappointing.

Amazing hotel close to beach

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was nothing short of an amazing stay, the staff were amazing, provided us with anything we needed (with a smile) I would definitely return, hopefully for longer.

A bit of the good life

The Martinez is one of the three grande dames of Cannes. Beautiful turn of the century hotels that face the Mediterranean and evoke the days of Bridget Bardot. This was my first time staying at this hotel and I couldn't recommend it more. I was upgraded to an ocean front room that was huge with a balcony, the bathroom was to die for - huge, separate shower with jets and huge tub, top-of-the-line toiletries, towels and bathrobes. The service was impeccable. I did order room service my first night from sheer exhaustion - it was lovely but very, very expensive as was the room service breakfast I ordered the morning of my departure. All in all, this is not a modern hotel but it does have, as they say, all the mod cons!

Concierge staff, Philippe, David and Gael, were excellent. They were always on hand to assist and kind and giving good tips on where to have meals. Great service by concierge staff. Front office desk was normal; not exceptional. Our room was cleaned regularly except that sometimes, toiletries were not replenished accordingly.

Great Location But....

Pros: The Location: right on the beach front (OK you have to cross a main road, but traffic was light) The atmosphere was excellent and the staff good.
Cons: Give us instant hot water.
Location: Expensive fahion shops all around and a very nice beach just across the road.
I got a really good deal on the room rate plus plane ticket from Expedia, But the rate did not include Breakfast; 40 Euros. A fairly simple supper in the ordinary restaurant was equally expensive and a G&T in the bar for Eur 25. Need I say more. It took ages to get the water hot enough to shower, a good job I was not in a hurry. The Ocean view required opening the window, leaning out and looking to the right. The room was large and the bed had it's own post code. Probably could sleep a family of four plus the grandparents.
