Poor security

Pros: Lobby and building are beautiful. Front desk staff seem friendly however don't seem to have any authority to do much when there is a problem.
Cons: Change security codes between guests, housekeeping needs improvement. Put screens on windows, have a bellboy to carry luggage
Location: On a golf course so it is isolated There is nothing to do there unless you use their facilities. It would be a very long bus ride to Canterbury.
We called to notify hotel we would be checking in 1 day late. Upon arrival next day we were given our room code. After climbing eight flights of stairs with our luggage as there is no bellboy or lift we entered room to find someone already in there. This hotel does not change the room codes between guests. We went back to lobby and it took them 40 minutes to find us another room. They tried to put us in the Canterbury which had twin beds and a low roof like an attic. Finally they gave us another room which they stated was an upgrade. It looked OK however the bed linens smelled musty. To say they provide a kitchen is inaccurate- there is a small microwave, mini fridge and a toaster. You could not cook a meal there. Temperature regulation in the room is a problem- too hot or too cold with no thermostat to regulate. They left the window open and our room was infested with bugs. There was moldy cheese in the fridge left by a prior guest. The pool was closed for repairs. There is a daily charge for use of WIFI, pool and leisure facilities which seems unreasonable given room rates. We tried the restaurant and of course the meal my husband wanted was not available. When we checked out the next morning I shared some of my concerns with the hotel manager. Her response was sorry- please send me an e mail. She provided her card and a package of flower seeds- Forget Me Nots. How ironic- we certainly won't. This was a terrible experience.

Nice setting but...

Beautiful location and nice villas but we checked in late and got a villa where the shower completely flooded the bathroom. There were also extra charges for items that are normally standard. Wifi and gym usage.

Relaxing time away with friends

This was my second stay at Brooke Park with friends and as before we were blown away with the tranquility and beautiful accomodation. We will be returning again next year.

Pros: The lodge was spectacular, the surrounding nature absolutely beautiful. The food was very good.
Cons: Coffee, the quality was bad
Location: We went to Dover to see the white cliffs and also Canterbury that's very nice
We stayed only one night but wished we could stay more The place is awesome, so nice and tranquil

Pros: Very nice surroundings.
Cons: The food in the restaurant could do with improvement, in particular the steak which was overcooked and tasteless.
Location: We did not investigate but Canterbury is not far away.
We stayed over a weekend in order to facilitate attendance at a function held at the main clubhouse. The accommodation was a chalet which was very comfortable and had ample space - two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one designed to accommodate the disabled) plus a sitting room/kitchen, with three TVs in all. Tea/coffee facilities were provided.

Excellent lodge facilities

Pros: Very well equipped, nice helpful staff
Cons: The swimming pool was closed, we would have liked to swim
Location: Av16 minute drive from historic Canterbury and ax short ride from the beach.
Clean and well equipped the lodge lacked nothing to facilitate a relaxing and easy going stay. Staff in the main club were helpful and informative and the restaurant had a good menu with beautiful food and drink. The lodge was private but not isolated with the option of a short woodland walk, lovely after our excellent evening meal. Our only disappointment was we had not booked longer.
